@dylanwiliam @ThoughtStretchr This is a great clip. But it ends by agreeing that we also have to "teach the concepts the skills & the facts". This describes a content-oriented approach and sadly there aren't enough hours in a day to cover *all* desired facts if we're also using time for skill development.

If students were taught well in the first place, fewer would need Tier 2 intervention. Some students are victims of instructional disabilities, not learning disabilities. This is from my conversation with Anita Archer. Link to episode below ⬇️

Doug Ford's Education Minister just gave himself more power to appoint Conservative insiders at $400K to $500K a pop while laying off a thousand education workers. The word "liability" appears 43 times in his new legislation. "Students" appears five times. "Classrooms" appears zero times. Kids are in overcrowded classrooms with no one to help them. Teachers are burning out. And this government keeps tinkering around the edges while consolidating power. Students don't need a wannabe Emperor of Education. They need caring adults in classrooms who can answer when they put up their hand.

Shaq wants to debunk the idea that “college isn’t for everybody.” That’s why he partnered with Campus to cover the tuition for a handful of exceptional students to earn competitive, two-year degrees. The Shaq Scholars program aims to provide higher education without saddling students with debt. All while learning from professors who also teach at schools like Stanford and Princeton.

RUTTE: Politically, I can assure you that United States is doing everything they can to deliver on PURL commitment. PURL deliveries, including interceptors, are being sent to Ukraine and are being used by Ukraine. Practically, there's limit to number of interceptors available in NATO territory, and that’s why we need to make sure that we produce more. That’s one of the reasons why Ukraine itself has been working, and this is not something that will deliver immediate results, to see what they can do, with help of NATO partners and allies, to produce more interceptors. We’re working from every angle, with everybody who's involved in this. But when it comes to PURL and United States, I can only commend them for what they are doing to ensure that flow continues.
