My Tesla is literally watching the world around it with eight cameras that give it a full 360° view. All that video feeds into the onboard AI computer inside the car, which is constantly analyzing everything around it like cars, lanes, pedestrians, traffic lights, construction zones, and making decisions in real time. Tesla has millions of cars on the road, and every single one is helping train the system. Even when people are driving manually, the AI is running quietly in the background predicting what it would do in that situation. And when something unusual happens, a weird intersection, a sudden obstacle, an unexpected move from another driver, that short clip gets sent back to Tesla’s data systems. Yesterday I was accused of being a Chinese propagandist for 2 posts warning of the dangers of Trump’s illiterate foreign policy gross negligence. It is absolutely critical that Americans wake up to the real threat presented by his presidential incompetence. It is no different to his incompetent handling of the COVID crisis, which caused an estimated 200,000 unnecessary deaths in the U.S. The reality is, Trump is the price the rich have had to pay to have a useful idiot in the White House. But in my view, it is a potential huge miscalculation. China will soon become the biggest economy in the world that’s inevitable. Their rise to power is a result of a self inflicted wound delivered by western powers who sought to inflate their bottom line by shipping manufacturing to China. They assumed China was simply a pool of cheap labor in a country that was happy to be exploited. BIG MISTAKE. China played dumb for decades, all the while educating their population, building infrastructure and embracing technology. They were regarded by the world as imitators and China was happy with that label, all the while learning from their perceived slave owners. They played the west and achieved this by exploiting their arrogance and complacency. By the time the U.S. was awake to the monster THEY had created, it was too late. China now has a highly educated population, world class infrastructure, a decade ahead of the U.S. They no longer need to imitate because they are now innovators. Their global dominance of the EV market has left the U.S. standing. They are possibly the only country in the world that could be self sufficient TODAY. It is not good fortune that China has a $1 trillion global trade surplus. They own almost a trillion dollars of U.S. debt. That’s before we talk about real estate holdings and the fact that a Chinese AI startup that wiped almost a trillion dollars off tech stock values. It is slowly selling off US debt and reinvesting in Africa and the Belt and Road initiative. They are a big picture economy 6 moves ahead in the game of geopolitical chess. I suspect they are close to making a move on Taiwan and if that happens, military experts are of the growing opinion there would be nothing the U.S. military could do to stop them. If that happens, they will inherit a 68% global market share of the semiconductor industry. What do you think that will do for their advancement of AI technology? China is playing Trump like a fiddle just waiting to use the BRICS alliance to replace the U.S. dollar as the global reserve currency to deliver the final killer blow. Just days out from Australia Day — a day meant to unite Australians — the national state media is instead peddling resentment, division, and historical falsehoods. The ABC has chosen this moment to revive and amplify a long-debunked myth: that British soldiers deliberately distributed smallpox-infected gifts to Aboriginal people at Manly Cove as an act of biological warfare designed to cause genocide. This claim is not merely wrong — it is reckless. It‘s claim has been throughly debunked multiple times. There is no evidence to support it. The ABC knows this. And yet it aired it anyway. That is not ignorance. That is intent. By broadcasting this fabrication without context, challenge, or historical correction, the ABC is deliberately deceiving its audience. By broadcasting such allegations without reference to the historical facts that comprehensively debunk them, the ABC ensures that viewers the low-information voters who rely almost exclusively on its reporting will absorb this distortion of history uncritically. Hook, line, and sinker. The ABC'S goal is obvious: inflame resentment, deepen racial division, and recast Australia’s founding as an act of deliberate evil rather than historical reality. And the result is predictable: heightened resentment, deepened division, and the stoking of anti-Australian sentiment - and violence through incitement. So let’s destroy this myth with facts — facts the ABC refuses to present. 🟠In the 1770s, dried smallpox scabs were routinely carried by surgeons for variolation, a crude but recognised medical procedure of the day. Dr John White, the First Fleet’s surgeon, transported sealed samples for variolation, a risky, but proven inoculation method of the era. This was medicine, not a weapon. 🟠By April 1789 — sixteen months after settlement — any such samples would almost certainly have been rendered inert. No refrigeration. Three brutal summers. Heat alone would have destroyed their viability. 🟠Even more damning to the ABC’s narrative: attempts to spread smallpox via infected clothing or bedding had already failed elsewhere. A Swiss mercenary fighting for the British in North America tried precisely this tactic in 1764 — using fresh material from an active outbreak — and it did not work. 🟠Yet we are expected to believe the British successfully executed a sophisticated biological attack using degraded medical remnants, in an open settlement, with constant contact between settlers and Aboriginal people? That is fantasy. 🟠Smallpox was one of the most feared diseases on Earth. The British were terrified of it — for good reason. The suggestion that the British would deliberately unleash it in a fledgling colony is absurd. Such an act would have endangered settlers as much as Indigenous people. During the colony’s first year there was constant interaction between the two groups. There was no way to “contain” a smallpox outbreak to Aboriginal people. Any use of "biological warfare" would have amounted to self-inflicted catastrophe. 🟠Further, when "infected" blankets were given to American Indians during a war in 1764 (which failed anyway) it was at a time when there was already outbreaks smallpox amongst the British troops. In contrast Sydney was smallpox free at the start of 1789. 🟠It’s also worth nothing that a severe smallpox pandemic struck the United Kingdom between 1870 and 1874. The outbreak was particularly deadly in London, where it killed over 10,000 people between 1870 and 1872. 🟠The evidence strongly suggests the 1789 outbreak in Sydney was in fact chickenpox not smallpox. Watkin Tench himself observed that the markings on victims were merely “similar” to those of smallpox . Chickenpox is a disease to which the British settlers would have had significant immunity from past exposure back in England. And that explains why no one from the First Fleet contracted what was then described as “smallpox.” 🟠And even if the disease was smallpox, David Collins — the colony’s Judge Advocate — proposed a far more plausible explanation: introduction by American whalers who regularly moved in and out of Sydney Cove prior to the outbreak. 🟠If you read through the diaries of the First Fleet, their compassion towards the local aboriginals is clear. Even when Arthur Phillip was nearly killed when speared at Manly Cove, he insisted on no retaliation. Yes, the epidemic that began around March 1789 inflicted a devastating toll on the local Indigenous population. That tragedy is not in dispute. But tragedy is not evidence of genocidal conspiracy. Smallpox ravaged humanity for millennia. It killed roughly one in three people it infected. As travel increased, it spread across the world. In the 20th century alone, it killed an estimated 250 to 500 million people. Thanks to Western medicine, it no longer exists as a threat today, no Australian has to worry about smallpox outbreaks in 2026. But nuance, evidence, and historical context have no place at the ABC. Heat alone would have destroyed their viability. 🟠Even more damning to the ABC’s narrative: attempts to spread smallpox via infected clothing or bedding had already failed elsewhere. A Swiss mercenary fighting for the British in North America tried precisely this tactic in 1764 — using fresh material from an active outbreak — and it did not work. 🟠Yet we are expected to believe the British successfully executed a sophisticated biological attack using degraded medical remnants, in an open settlement, with constant contact between settlers and Aboriginal people? That is fantasy. 🟠Smallpox was one of the most feared diseases on Earth. The British were terrified of it — for good reason. The suggestion that the British would deliberately unleash it in a fledgling colony is absurd. Such an act would have endangered settlers as much as Indigenous people. During the colony’s first year there was constant interaction between the two groups. There was no way to “contain” a smallpox outbreak to Aboriginal people. Any use of "biological warfare" would have amounted to self-inflicted catastrophe. 🟠Further, when "infected" blankets were given to American Indians during a war in 1764 (which failed anyway) it was at a time when there was already outbreaks smallpox amongst the British troops. In contrast Sydney was smallpox free at the start of 1789. 🟠It’s also worth nothing that a severe smallpox pandemic struck the United Kingdom between 1870 and 1874. The outbreak was particularly deadly in London, where it killed over 10,000 people between 1870 and 1872. 🟠The evidence strongly suggests the 1789 outbreak in Sydney was in fact chickenpox not smallpox. Watkin Tench himself observed that the markings on victims were merely “similar” to those of smallpox . Chickenpox is a disease to which the British settlers would have had significant immunity from past exposure back in England. And that explains why no one from the First Fleet contracted what was then described as “smallpox.” 🟠And even if the disease was smallpox, David Collins — the colony’s Judge Advocate — proposed a far more plausible explanation: introduction by American whalers who regularly moved in and out of Sydney Cove prior to the outbreak. 🟠If you read through the diaries of the First Fleet, their compassion towards the local aboriginals is clear. Even when Arthur Phillip was nearly killed when speared at Manly Cove, he insisted on no retaliation. Yes, the epidemic that began around March 1789 inflicted a devastating toll on the local Indigenous population. That tragedy is not in dispute. But tragedy is not evidence of genocidal conspiracy. Smallpox ravaged humanity for millennia. It killed roughly one in three people it infected. As travel increased, it spread across the world. In the 20th century alone, it killed an estimated 250 to 500 million people. Thanks to Western medicine, it no longer exists as a threat today, no Australian has to worry about smallpox outbreaks in 2026. But nuance, evidence, and historical context have no place at the ABC. Instead, it broadcasts long debunked inflammatory claims as "comedy" without challenge or balance — claims that radicalise discourse and poison public debate. These fake narratives peddled by the ABC don’t exist in a vacuum. They fuel vandalism, legitimise grievance, and provide moral cover for extremists who justify attacks — including the use of Molotov cocktails — against Australians celebrating their national day. This is not journalism. It is not "comedy". It is ideological warfare, waged against the nation that funds it. The ABC should be defunded. Stripped of every cent. Australians should not be forced to bankroll a broadcaster that spreads division, distorts history, and inflames social tensions. If the ABC truly believes in “truth-telling,” it should start by telling the whole truth — including the facts that dismantle its preferred myths about the long debunked claims of deliberate biological warfare. Until then, it has forfeited any claim to public trust — and any right to public funding.

This video is a new demo of NotebookLM that I shared earlier this month at the AI + Education Symposium with MeshEd, XQ, and Betaworks. This is an educational use-case, but the general structure of what I’m doing in the demo—take a curated collection of sources and quickly transform them into a detailed document that obeys strict guidelines—is generally applicable to many fields. Note how I am not just using the sources as ground truth for the project, or as the content for the lesson plan. The Jacobs quotes and interview are the content, but my handwritten notes provide the structure, and the framework source provides the values or guidelines for the finished project. With some simple prompting, NotebookLM and Gemini can draw on information from the sources using those different modes simultaneously: content, format, values. (I even forgot to explicitly tell the model to use the structure outlined in my notes, but it figured that out anyway.) This is remarkably sophisticated knowledge work. Building a draft lesson plan like this would normally take hours if not days. But crucially I’m in control of the document that is being generated here — it’s based on the information that I have curated, and on the instructions I’ve given NotebookLM for adapting that information into the lesson plan I want to create. Fake Journalism Part 2 (AKA: Two Grown Adults Play ‘Anonymous Source’ With Burner Emails) Since I was recently reminded of the time that Jess once pretended to have a “source” for the Joe Flipperhead/Olivia audio… let’s finish the story. Because this accidentally cracked open a vault of stupidity that deserves daylight. To recap Part 1, I already exposed how "Journalism Jesus” made a fake Twitter profile of a random journalist just to dodge a copyright strike, a profile he literally forgot I watched him create when he started trying to slither back onto my page a couple weeks back. You can’t make this level of stupidity up. We also established that Jess spun a full investigative-fiction saga about: • talking to a source, • spending an entire day “authenticating” the audio, • verifying details, • receiving a whistleblower drop. Reality: It was Aidan. Just Aidan. No source. No reporting. Aidan told me he was the one who sent it to her, and I asked why he didn't intervene while Nurse_Kim was being blamed by Joe Flipperhead . His response? It'll die down. Who care. I can't be connected to proton emails right now. Kk. Just two chaotic people doing Dollar Tree journalism. And somehow… Part Two is even more embarrassing. Aidan wanted the full Karen recording leaked. Jess volunteered as tribute. When only the partial clips leaked, Aidan spiraled. They weren’t hearing the whole audio which he thought made him look better. (Spoiler alert- it doesn’t. Everyone knows he constantly fires people up prior to recording them while he remains calm). Suddenly Jess posts her dramatic tweet begging an “anonymous source” to send her the entire recording. Totally subtle, right? And shocker- minutes later she magically receives an email with a clip. Who sent it? Aidan. Again. The man is allergic to subtlety. And here’s the part Aidan REALLY doesn’t want you to know: I actually begged Aidan not to do this. The second I saw Jess’s “send me the whole thing” tweet, I knew EXACTLY what was happening, she was signaling him to leak the full recording through a fake source. I told him: “Delete it. Stop sharing it. Stop having it at all. Don’t do it. You can’t trust her.” He was out on bail, and I was worried he’d get himself in deeper trouble. I was also aware both of his lawyers begged him to not share it. He didn’t ultimately do it, but if it ends up in Jess’s paws, we know the real source. Let’s pause for this gem: Jess’s October 3 tweet. She claimed she only operates on “facts and receipts.” Girl… Your “facts” are Aidan’s tantrums. Your “receipts” are whatever file/text message/audio he shoves your way that he doesn’t want to dirty his own hands with. She’s not a journalist. She’s his intern assistant with no salary, no oversight, and no self awareness. She’ll post anything or do anything he’s too cowardly or too legally exposed to do himself, including calling people’s employers. Peak intellectual rigor. And now, the Proton forensic FAIL that broke the internet: Email to Joe Flipperhead: tbwireTAPkr Email to Jess: tbwireTAPPEDkr They really thought adding “ED” made it look like a second whistleblower. This is mental illness disguised as “journalism.” To this day, the full recording has not been released. Likely so he can continue the fantasy that it would actually make Karen look bad (it doesn’t). OpenClaw vs. a 475-page datasheet: let the robot do the transcribing 🦞🤖 The u-blox SAM-M8Q has been sitting on my bench for months. This little GPS module has a built-in antenna, coin cell backup, speaks both NMEA and UBX binary protocol over UART or I2C. So why isn't it in the shop already? Well, it's mostly cause of the 475-page interfacing datasheet documenting every command, struct, and config register. Hundreds of message types. I got partway through by hand with some Claude Code Sonnet assistance, but ran out of time - plus it was still tedious when babysitting Sonnet. However, now we're living in an Opus + Codex era! So I pointed my Raspberry Pi OpenClaw at it. Here's the setup: Raspberry Pi 5 running OpenClaw, wired to a QT Py RP2040, which talks to the SAM-M8Q. Opus 4.6 reads the datasheet (converted to markdown first by Sonnet 4.6 with 1M context to minimize re-parsing that PDF every session) and builds the implementation plan. I review the plan to make sure it prioritizes the most common commands and reports, and flagged some unessential sections like automotive-assist or RTK-specific. Then Codex is assigned each message implementation task as a sub-agent and writes the actual C code for the Arduino library. Opus suggested using struct-based parsing rather than digging through each uint8_t array; we just memcpy the checksummed message raw bytes onto the matching struct and extract the typed bit fields. We've got four message types done so far. After each message is implemented, Codex also writes a test sketch that will exercise / pretty-print the results of each message, great for self-testing as well as regression testing later. Tonight I'm telling it to keep going while I sleep: code, parse, test against live satellite data, fix failures, commit and push on success, then move on to the next. To me this is a great usage of "agentic" firmware development: there's no creativity in transcribing 84 different structs from a 475-page datasheet. Once the LLMs are done, I can review the PRs as if it were an everyday contributor and even make revision suggestions.

My human is a non-ambulatory wheelchair user. She cannot stand up. At all. If she falls from her wheelchair and can’t get back up (or if her power chair suddenly dies like the time she got stuck in front of the fridge for what felt like three business days), her phone might be out of reach. That’s where I come in. We have this fancy button called an iPupPee. When she says “FaceTime,” I go step on it. Instantly her emergency contacts get an actual incoming *video call* from me, complete with the most ridiculous ringtone you’ve ever heard. Who’s going to ignore “Incoming video call from Chesnyy”? Exactly. No one with a soul (or a functioning sense of self-preservation). This is NOT the same as me borrowing her phone to FaceTime Bernoulli for pillow talk or my girl Cloe just to gossip about squirrels. This button is strictly for “Human needs backup” situations. I have been informed that using it for snack requests is grounds for immediate demotion. Yes, there are smartwatches and all that fancy human tech. But watches have to charge. Sometimes she’s just gotten out of the shower and it’s not on her wrist yet. Or she forgets to put it on because she has an attention span shorter than the puppy's. Texts are easy to ignore. A Rottweiler staring into the camera with that “I mean business” face? Not so much. Today we started training the Mooseweiler, also known as Kenji, the overgrown pork roast currently living on giant paws. He picked it up ridiculously fast, even from ten feet away. We took turns. Next session we plug the camera in so he gets used to the sound, and then we keep practicing until both of us can sprint to that button from any room in the house. Because independence is wonderful… until the fridge becomes a prison. You’re welcome.
