In this Tesla earnings call, Elon Musk admits he was likely wrong when telling the world Tesla vehicles with HW3 would be safe enough to operate Full Self-Driving unsupervised. Elon also admits Tesla will need to make it right for HW3 owners.

If they delay the "upgrades" unitl 7-10 years from now, how many HW3 vehicles will still be on the road? These are empty promises.

Your keeping it doesn't entirely depend on you. You could be t-boned, and the vehicle might be totaled out. They're counting on a scenarios like this to reduce the number of upgrades required... whenever they get around to upgrading.

He will delay delay delay until there are no more original owner HW3 cars left or buy back the purchase price of the FSD option for the stragglers who are hanging on.

He has been selling FSD for years now without providing even Level 3 autonomy that legally allows you to take off your hands and eyes from the road. That guy is just a scammer.

Why I think a hw3 vehicle with FSD is superior. We are owed autonomy whole hw4 is not.

Let's wait until HW4 cars goes unsupervised. Don't forget: nobody did it before and everyone thought, it would be easier and quicker. We can't expect Tesla to go replace our HW3 with HW4, if there is a chance, HW5 is actually needed. Also, we bought unsupervised FSD, that you can't buy any more. Right?

Didn’t he say that, at one point, maybe several points, the systems were NOT upgradable and the ONLY way to do HW4, was a redesign?? Just trying to keep all the LIES straight…

Yeah he should offer to buy their cars back and or give full purchase price on a trade for 2026 model.

Wouldn’t it be cheaper to just offer folks with HW3 vehicles who bought FSD a generous discount on a new vehicle with HW4 and allow them to transfer their FSD?

Having bought FSD in Europe is actually a scam. There has been 0 improvement to it for years. I'm more worried about that than an upgrade of HW3

He said only those who had bought full fsd package and that wasn’t very many. So we are not talking big money like many have suggested by counting every HW3 car ever made.

I am surprised there has not been a class action lawsuit forcing Tesla to offer a refund or to allow transfer of FSD to a newer car.

Lifetime FSD transfer in hardware 3 vehicles with FSD purchased would seem a no brainer if they wanted make it right… not this, oh, FSD transfer if you buy another within next two months.
