Irish 🇮🇪 sports broadcasters took an entire segment to spread blood libel and air their grievances over an upcoming match against the Israeli national football team. Rather than talking about the players, who play football and do not have any influence over government actions, as humans, they painted some grim image of Israeli players on their field, fans in their stands, and the idea of representatives shaking hands. Sporting events are a chance for people to unite as one and share in their passion, but these reporters and the protestors they're celebrating don't seem to care about that.

🫶⚽️We were honoured to represent Rangers fans at the recent Unity is Strength conference, hosted by the Liverpool FC Foundation. Tragedy chanting shames our game. Too often the victims, including our own 66, are subject to a despicable desecration by opposition supporters, which also impacts on the pain and suffering of families and survivors. We stand with all clubs who have lost fans in football tragedies and call on the authorities in Scotland to follow the English lead. We must make tragedy chanting a public order offence that triggers strong punishments and Football Banning Orders, rather than leaving it - as it is now - to a case-by-case breach of the peace test.

Tim Sheehy, the Navy SEAL senator, called her out on hypocrisy. He reminded her she’s been pushing the idea that troops should defy orders they think are illegal, yet she was demanding Hegseth blindly follow her line of questioning and admit something damaging. He basically told her a combat veteran doesn’t need lectures on duty or manhood from someone trying to score political points by undermining the military’s chain of command. According to the clips, she looked pretty uncomfortable and hid her face while he laid into her double standard. Last November, Slotkin organized a video with five other Democratic lawmakers who had military or intelligence backgrounds. They spoke directly to active-duty troops and intelligence officers, telling them the biggest threat to the Constitution right now is coming from inside the country, not abroad. They said, quote, “You can refuse illegal orders… You must refuse illegal orders. No one has to carry out orders that violate the law or our Constitution.” It came right after concerns about how the Trump administration was using the military domestically. Sheehy and others called it out as trying to undermine the chain of command and encourage troops to second-guess lawful orders from their commander-in-chief. What Slotkin said was was poor judgment, and from a American standpoint, it’s seen as undermining a Republican president before he even gave an order. She was reckless and partisan with the troops. Incredible to see such crowds and a great display of courage in Letterkenny, County Donegal. These crowds stand as a symbol against the attempts of Donegal County Councillors to intimidate the people of Donegal from attending the protest by their smear campaign. They claimed that there was "no place for hate" in Donegal in an effort to stop people from attending the protest. The only "hate" that exists in Donegal comes from these so-called "public representatives" against the native electorate. Their attempts to smear the good people of Donegal failed miserably. The people of Donegal stand proud and strong against the corrupt political establishment and their destruction of our country. Sometimes as fans, we are mostly focused on how the achievements of the team means to us and we forget about the players. How they feel about it, what it means for them to win these games. Take Noni Madueke for instance, his transfer to Arsenal was a mess. A lot of the fans didn't understand the move and there was a lot of displeasure about it online. How do you think that made Madueke feel? This is a guy who was on top of his game in the Netherlands before moving to Chelsea and everything changed for him. He went from a confident dribbling monster, fighting for silverware to whatever he was at Chelsea, a shadow of himself. Now he has won the league in his first season at Arsenal and made the world cup squad for England. Arteta is not only saving the lives of the fans, he is also saving the lives of his players. Thank you Arteta.

Everyone should be able to feel safe when they attend a football match, that’s non-negotiable. It’s irresponsible for Keir Starmer to question a safety decision of a local authority, especially when he is responsible for their chronic underfunding. Under normal circumstances, supporters from across the fanbase should be allowed to attend and provision taken to ban violent elements such as The Ultras. But these are not normal circumstances: these games are taking place in the context of thousands of civilians being killed in Gaza, the illegal occupation of Palestinian land, and the upholding of a system of apartheid. This raises serious moral questions for the UK, UEFA, and the wider football community. We need a sporting and cultural boycott of all Israeli teams, like we saw for South African teams under apartheid. International sporting bodies can and must take a stand when basic human rights are being violated. Football should be a force for peace and justice, not a tool to sportwash atrocities.

This Clip of Gen. Niazi, talking to Western Reporters, few days before he suddenly surrendered to Indian Forces is a classic example of how an officer class has been trained “Not to Think” but “Obey Orders”, Ignore his bragging & boosting; but watch to see how Gen. Niazi repeatedly defends his orders in total disconnect to reality emerging around him. In recent months many angry Pakistanis have blasted all junior & senior army officers for everything, this angry reaction ignores the fact that Army officers are psychologically trained not to think but to obey orders from above. Once their top has defined “Political Movement” as “Enemy of the Army” which in their minds automatically means “Pakistan” they are obediently working to destroy all Pakistani institutions, political parties, media, civil society as per “Orders from above” - You can’t blame them; ability to question orders, and to think independently was not part of their training, whatever capacity they had at joining PMA was systematically crushed over long years of service. We should stop blaming them, and think of creating ideas of political and institutional reform. How overall system can be changed in which Army has a defined role and Army Chief is an important functionary of the state accountable to an elected government and judiciary. Unless that imaginary Pakistan exists, at least in our minds, future of Pakistani state will remain at risk.
