I'm voting against every single person who is in charge of these updates and their bosses - not a single bullet point. You want me to listen to a bunch of videos AT WORK? This is beyond stupid. Stop with the videos without bullet points.

There's no way to ask this without sounding like a jerk, and I'm sorry about that, but in the absence of information provided I have to ask: With all the best minds and SMEs working this problem, is the entire plan to just keep hoses on it and keep our fingers crossed until it hits a certain temperature, if it ever does, however long that takes? And if it doesn't? Does that area just become some kind of permanent dead zone in the middle of the county? California's very own Pripyat? Again, not trying to be a jerk here, but with no insight into the plans or the thought process of those who are managing the emergency, all anyone can do is speculate in circles. This is why, when Captain Covey made the jubilant announcement that the tank wasn't going to BLEVE, everyone was sent rushing to Google to find out what a BLEVE was -- the authorities themselves never explained it to the public.

I think people are not telling us the full truth. Be careful. I was about 1 mile from GKN, outside the evacuation zone last night, and I’m currently having symptoms like nausea, itchy eyes, and headaches. These are the same symptoms I had Thursday night when I saw people running out of GKN as I drove by and had to stop because of the fire trucks. So the tank may have already been leaking

So where have you been the last week? When will the final evacuation zone end? What about all those out of the box ideas? Seems we just got a week of spray water and pray. You got lucky this time.

Hello everyone, I made a centralized resource website. I'm updating as much as possible with verified community resources and news from local/federal government. Please share with loved ones who may need this information:

What are you specifically looking for to allow the rest of us back into our homes below 90°, hold 92° for x hours etc... also will you hold updates more frequently If you're checking the temperature every 30 min as stated earlier how many 92° readings are needed For us to return.

Of course there is no new update after 6 hours. Stay tuned for another day… You can just give a small update for those who are still evacuated.

Video updates are appreciated, but pairing them with a few clear bullet points will make them far more effective. Those on limited connections will not be forced to stream video just to stay informed. Thanks.

If you're wondering about the positioning of the mobile air monitor sensors: it looks like they unintentionally leaked that on one of their blurry maps... I thought there were 24 total EPA sensors deployed? Why does this show only 3 sensors?! And why are they deployed like this:

@KarenLosAngeles Leave it to OCFA to fuck up something as simple as an incident update. What a joke department.

This is disturbing gross incompetence. I’m still evacuated, it’s been since Friday now. You need to implicitly and with the data show us exactly why the boundaries are the way they are. It needs to be the bare minimum, no more “abundance of caution” bullshit

What a pathetic update

Will there be another press conference today?

What the hell. Where is the update? Where is the damn transparency? If you’re saying it’s still too dangerous for me to go home publish the data. I need the model, the raw data; and the methodology used to create these zones. If you can’t produce that, this is corrupt!

Might want to investigate reports of people finding dead birds in their yards near the leak site.

OCFA is now deleting embarrassing tweets that show them standing around hugging each other in Cypress. How many people should lose their jobs at OCFA?

Why go all the way to GG blvd? Seems quite far from the leak.

@ochealth Why is @RSCCD being allowed to rebuild a school and daycare center on land that was already designated UNSAFE & TOXIC? Have we learned anything from history?

Officials confirmed the adjacent tanks hold 19,000 gallons of the same volatile chemical. With spill and ignition risk still live, what specific measures are in place to protect them?
