That is my priority now" President Tinubu has, for the second time in as many months, called for the accelerated delivery of the attack helicopters Nigeria ordered from the U.S. The helicopter in question is the AH-1Z Viper, not the Apache helicopter as several Nigerian media outlets have been inaccurately reporting. We can only hope the wait won't be too long. It took the Czech Republic nearly three years to receive its first AH-1Z Viper helicopters from the U.S. By contrast, it took Nigeria 16 months to receive its first batch of T129 ATAK helicopters from Turkey after the procurement contract was finalized.
