@Tread_NFlorence @jonas_yatson 8mph is meaningful, especially from 72 to 80 for high school. Much easier to get a fastball past most high school hitters to get strikeouts instead of balls in play.

From sitting 88 mph T92 to 95-96 mph T97 in 1.5 years ๐Ÿคฏโ  โ  When Tread athlete Brett Erwin first started with us, he had an average fastball of 88, and now about 1.5 years later here he is throwing 95-96 touching 97 MPH! So how exactly did he do it?โ  โ  An Athlete update from Austin Roark ๐Ÿ”ฅโ  โ  Brett had a great starting point in his delivery. There weren't any glaring issues mechanically that we needed to overhaul. The main focus was to improve the initial move/posture out of leg lift to allow himself to be in a better position into landing.โ  โ  Another big constraint that we had while working together was the environment that we were throwing in. Brett, for the majority of the off-season, was throwing off of a grassy hill in the middle of the park into a 9 pocket.โ  โ  Originally, the throws were around 86 to 88, but we eventually got up to 90-91 in that specific environment. It was a matter of time before we got on an actual mound against hitters to start seeing some better numbers show up, which eventually happened.โ  โ  We utilized a lot of 1 MPH bullpens to focus on the idea of โ€œthrowing hard easyโ€ which ultimately raised the floor and he was starting to really understand how his body needed to move. Once I felt like we were in a good spot mechanically, we added in a lot more intent work to get the output we wanted! โ  โ  The biggest factor in all of this is that Brett is a fantastic communicator. He consistently scheduled calls, sent over video, and asked a lot of great quality questions along the way. It takes a special kind of athlete to make a lot of progress remotely and to get the most out of remote training, and Brett has definitely made the most out of the opportunity!โ  #TreadFam

After 10 years of traveling the country with my son Grant Scholzen as my travel partner as an MLB scout and in my baseball capacity now, I was let go 3.5 years ago by the Milwaukee Brewers for CoVid reasons and it has become a blessing in disguise! It freed me up to watch every HS game he played and almost 90% of his summer/fall action from coast to coast, along with national invite showcase teams and events, where he garnered recruiting attention. Now the day came to watch him make his D1 debut this past week. He was able to play 3 innings defensively and as is custom, the ball found him at 2B in all 3 innings. Made all the plays flawlessly, with a โ€œslowโ€ heartbeat and did his thing! The ABโ€™s will comeโ€ฆ Heโ€™s a great teammate and has his fellow players respect for who he is as a ballplayer and more importantly as a person! His step mother Cami, for the past 8 years also hauled him around when he was young, while Dad was making other players dreams come true and she was able to see the dream realized as well. No matter what the future holds, his passion and endless work ethic made his dream come true! He will continue to grind, work and prove people wrong! His late mother Heidi, who passed away when he was 9 years old, would have been so proud and I know sheโ€™s been by his side in spirit and will continue to be by his side, wherever the dream takes him. Only 2% make it to where heโ€™s at, and although I help other young men, in the end heโ€™s my ๐Ÿ” priority and the most important player in my portfolio! I love you Grant โค๏ธ

85-87 T88 MPH (HS Junior) โžก๏ธ 92-94 T95.5 MPH (HS Senior) ๐Ÿคฏโ  โ  An athlete update from Performance Coach Paul Hall Jr. ๐Ÿ”ฅโ  โ  Tread Athlete Ryan Press came to us a little under a year and a half ago sitting 85-87 mph, topping 88, and weighing in at 155 lbs. Fast forward to now, and he's sitting 92-94, topping 95.5mph.โ  โ  Overall, Ryan's foundation was there. However, the goal was to improve his total development in terms of strength, nutrition, and mechanics.โ  โ  Weight Room ๐Ÿ‹๏ธโ  โ€™22-23 โžก๏ธ โ€˜24โ  DB Bench: 55lb โžก๏ธ 80lbโ  Back Squat: 250lb โžก๏ธ 300lb โ  Deadlift:310lb โžก๏ธ 370lbโ  DB Row: 70 โžก๏ธ 90 โ  โ  Body Weight (+20lbs): โ  โ€™22-23: 155 lbsโ  โ€™24: 175 lbs โ  โ  Mechanicsโ  โ  Ryan had an aggressive coil coming into peak leg lift, which was causing some downstream issues with his ability to rotationally load his back leg and maintain direction. This coil was also presenting as excessive torso counter rotation at foot strike, forcing an aggressive pull towards his glove side and negatively impacting both velocity and command at times.โ  โ  The change was utilizing a more controlled lift, thinking "knee to glove-side pec." Through a variety of med ball work and plyo drills, the goal was to help him rotate downhill in a more north-to-south vs east-to-west plane of rotation. This helped improve command, led to harder secondary pitches, and increased the output substantially on the heater. โ  โ  Ryan, now a Senior in HS, ranks as one of the top prep arms in Canada. โ  โ  Well worthy of a look for the upcoming Draft. ๐Ÿš€โ  โ  #TreadFamโ

Mirage was the new human-buddy lead in #Transformers ROTB. The studio wanted a character other than Bumblebee to have that role and be in the spotlight with Optimus Prime. He was designed to look "handsome" and to be sporty. He was the only character in the film with more than 1 alternate form. He had a total of 4 that we built in 3D (1 of which was cut from the film) and 1 that was only in live action (the garbage truck). I served as the asset Lead and did the Primary Texturing & Look Development for him. I also modelled and designed his eyes, upgrading them from what we had originally in the concept and ref. We spent a lot of time getting his car paint to look correct in shots, matching closely to on set reference pictures of the Porsche. At the end of the film, Mirage gives up his life and becomes the Exo-suit for Noah. The suit was built separately, using the same tooling and systems as Mirage to ensure visual continuity between them for the transformation from Mirage to Noah Exo-suit. He was voice acted by Pete Davidson, a change which was made later in production. The animators tried to introduce some of Pete's mannerisms into Mirage's animations too. Overall he was a character which was a lot of fun to work on and I'm proud of the work the team did to get him to look the way he does in the final film. CREDITS Primary Modelling by Lilian Robert. Final Texturing & LookDev by Martin Kamminga. Various other artists supported the creation of Mirage and the Exo-suit. The Exo-suit and Mirage were sent to WetaFX for the final sequence. Video by Paramount, MPC, and WetaFX.
