In the hours after the killing, followers of Modi’s violent Hindutva ideology openly celebrated on social media, calling it “revenge” for Charlie Kirk’s posts exposing Indian government influence operations and questioning attempts to undercut President Trump’s tariffs. “By celebrating Charlie Kirk’s assassination, Modi’s followers are doing two things: first, justifying the killing of Kirk for his dissenting political opinion; second, exemplifying and weaponizing assassination as a tool to silence dissent,” added Pannun. The same Hindutva networks have now threatened that “Next stop — Pannun” for leading the political campaign to liberate Punjab from Indian occupation. “Political violence to settle dissenting opinions reminds us that democracy must be defended through ballots, not bullets.” Pannun further stated: “Indian Prime Minister Modi’s Hindutva ideology thrives on political violence and repression, while Sikhs uphold freedom of expression, voting, and balloting — as demonstrated by our pursuit of the right to self-determination through the Khalistan Referendum.” America must recognize this foreign footprint: imported political terror, plotted abroad, celebrated online, and now Modi’s India plotting assassinations in America.
