Military Combat Parachute System (MCPS) designed and developed by ADRDE, DRDO was successfully tested at one of the world’s highest altitudes Drop Zones (Nyoma, Mudh DZ). ADRDE test Jumpers Wg Cdr Rahul Jha Chief Test Jumper, MWO R J Singh, VM(G), MWO Vivek Tiwari executed the jump from 22,000 feet AMSL wherein the temperature was −15°C and utilised MCPS and all other sub-systems including indigenous para computer, oxygen system & jumpsuits. The parachute was deployed at 20,000 ft, with a safe landing at 13,700 ft. The successful trial demonstrated the efficacy, reliability and tactical employability of MCPS in extreme high-altitude conditions, reinforcing India’s commitment to self-reliance in critical defence technologies. #MCPS #AtmanirbharBharat #DefenceTechnology #MakeInIndia

OPERATION SINDOOR Immediately after the cowardly Pakistani sponsored #PahalgamTerrorAttack, the Indian Navy validated the anti-missile and anti-aircraft defence capability in a complex threat environment using a cross platform cooperative mechanism. The operation leveraged #IndianNavy's comprehensive layered Fleet Air Defence mechanism, enabling quick and clear distinction between commercial, neutral and hostile aircraft or flying objects, and neutralisation of threats at extended ranges. The #CarrierBattleGroup with its integral Air Wing provides the first layer of this layered mechanism. The presence of our #AircraftCarrier with a large number of Mig 29K fighters and Air Borne Early Warning helicopters prevented any suspicious or hostile aircraft from closing within several hundred kilometres. Our powerful CBG, with formidable offensive capability was able to operate with impunity and maintained an uncontested presence in the area of operations, compelling the Pakistani Air Elements to remain bottled up close to the coast denying any opportunity to be a threat in maritime space. The #IndianNavy’s dominance thus ensured that should we choose to, we can strike at will. #OperationSindoor Ministry of Defence, Government of India HQ IDS ADG PI - INDIAN ARMY Indian Air Force

‼️ 🇺🇸 An A-10 Warthog safely returned to base after being hit by a surface to air missile during a combat mission, highlighting once again the aircraft’s legendary survivability. The strike caused heavy damage to the right engine nacelle, tearing apart sections of the outer structure and exposing internal components. Despite the impact, the aircraft remained fully controllable and all critical flight systems continued operating. The pilot maintained control throughout the incident and completed a safe landing without further complications. Built for close air support missions, the A-10 was designed with redundant flight controls, armored protection, and battlefield resilience at its core. Does any modern aircraft match the Warthog’s combat toughness?

A Royal Air Force Rivet Joint aircraft operating in international airspace over the Black Sea was dangerously intercepted by Russian military jets – flying as close as six metres and triggering onboard emergency systems. Despite these reckless manoeuvres, RAF crew completed their mission safely. The aircraft was conducting a routine flight in support of NATO operations, contributing to the security of the Alliance’s eastern flank. The RAF Rivet Joint is a specialist reconnaissance aircraft equipped with advanced electronic surveillance sensors, providing critical situational awareness to help safeguard NATO territory. This incident reflects ongoing Russian aggression and heightened military activity across Eastern Europe and the High North – the UK will continue to stand firm with its allies, united in the defence of NATO.
