I think , most people are attributing the growth of the genre just to the pioneers, I mean some of the name you mentioned. But in reality, alte is still the culture right now, it has just evolved! You can hear it in songs, styles, fashion, creative direction and all. Alte didn’t stop, alte evolved. The pioneers did their thing, laid the foundation. Now everybody is going to that culture to pick one or two, at least almost everybody 😎🐈‍⬛

Haha Joey, alte has been around for a while it just found a name around 2016/2017 thereabout. Black Magic, Ajebutter 22, LOS, Boj, SDC, even Burna boy were the early alte guys. Black Magic and Ajebutter 22 leading the forefront.

They are quite a number of Alte musicians I believe that scaled. Tems, SDC, Boj etc. A lot of mainstream Nigerian artists have also borrowed from their style and sound. Big Wiz, Omah lay, Blaqbonez and a load of others
