Tanic acid for rust... make a permanent non rusting surface. You can Google or YouTube the "how to" it's a permanent solution.

Dumb question....why does there have to be a liner? An old friend had a concrete pool w/o & I absolutely loved the natural color it had more like a pond (but clean) ...instead of that bright blue!

Should've used POR-15 on the walls..... you would never have worried about rust or your liner breaking on the side walls. Would've been expensive for that amount or surface area but worth it.

I've heard that copper used in pools to keep them clean is the safest system.
