I've seen multiple reports like this. People who are completely sober being pulled over and arrested for DUI, despite getting 0.00 on their breathalyzer. After their drug test results come back negative, their charges are finally dropped. These false DUIs are happening by the thousands. We're going to put an end to them, for good. 10 days ago, we introduced Splash the Pot to AoF games to test the feature and gather initial input from players. Since then, we’ve been closely monitoring how it performs and how you interact with it and we got a lot of good feedback. Today, we’re ready to move into the next phase with the introduction of new Infused Splash Pots. 💰 CoinPoker will be adding $500,000 extra per week directly into Splash the Pot. This builds on top of the existing system and turns it into a true rewards layer within the game. For context, Splash the Pot works by triggering random drops directly into active hands. These drops come from a shared splash pool built through gameplay, where 100% of the pool of any splash contribution is returned to players. CoinPoker does not take any cut of it. With the addition of infusion, the system is no longer only driven by player contributions. CoinPoker is adding extra funds on top of the existing pool, so splashes now carry additional value that comes directly from us, and its a net positive for the players. In practice, this leads to bigger rewards appearing directly in-game, including Mega Splashes that can reach up to 1000 big blinds. Players can follow splash activity, pool performance, and results directly in the client at any time, with clear visibility into how the system is running. To make the system more balanced across the table, each splash will be split between the pot winner and the rest of the players involved. We’ve tested different ways to structure this split internally, but what percentage should go to the winner versus the rest of the table is something we want to shape together with the community. Introducing PhoneLLM, an open model for voice agents. GPT 5.6 Terra performance on typical voice agent tasks at 1/3 the latency and 1/18 the cost. For voice agents, we need models that are both very low latency and very good at tool calling and instruction following. There's a trade-off here, and we often have to compromise on either latency or capability when building voice agents. With PhoneLLM (and the training and data stack that made this model possible) we're fixing this problem. For the last couple of years, most of the effort in frontier model development has gone towards leveraging test-time compute. Which is awesome! Models of all shapes and sizes are available that perform really, really well ... if you have "thinking" turned on for your model. But if you need your agent to respond at voice conversation speed, you can't use thinking models. PhoneLLM is a full-weights fine-tune of NVIDIA Nemotron Nano 30B. We trained on a wide range of real-world telephone and customer support use cases. The training focused on taking the excellent Nano 30B base capabilities and teaching the model to do typical voice agent tasks with thinking disabled. The results are really good: accurate tool calling and concise, on-topic responses in long conversations. And fast: TTFAT measured server-side is <100ms if you run PhoneLLM on a lightly loaded B200. :-) But seriously, when we characterize model latency, we do it with full, end-to-end, batched request simulations using real Pipecat voice agent pipelines. You can serve more than 80 concurrent agents on a single B200 with P95 end-to-end TTFAT <600ms. Including network overhead. That's an LLM cost-per-minute around $0.0025. (1/4 of a cent.) At a latency lower than any third-party API offers today. Hi GoBid as a proudly South African company we at View4You disagree with the fact that people cannot run diagnostics, check the car to see if it starts check for any warning lights, check fluids on your cars. We understand moving them is not doable like all other auctions. Our founder recently reached out to your ambassador mumbo repairs and asked Him why your cars are not auctioned with a report stating the truth about the car as we have come across cases of possible mileage fraud and a case of a cloned car at GoBid. The response we received was that it would be difficult as the quantities are large and it would be costly. He also stated these cars are from various banks insurers etc. He further stated that GoBid will allow us to do our own inspections before we bid. His answers are acceptable and understandable. However, they do depict or show a lack of or no interest in protecting the consumer. Now today we were stopped from running a diagnostic, we were not allowed to get the car started and we were also not allowed to check the fluids. How can people bid confidently with these limitations? Now our humble request is, please permit us to run our checks thoroughly to ensure we know what we are bidding on. All other auctions permit such and it’s only you who does not allow it. A diagnostic test is crucial in the process of practicing due diligence, if you do not want us to run a diagnostic, can you please run it and place the report on the windscreen of your cars that can be diagnosed? Q: Esteban, new year, new rules, new car. You've had the first run out this morning at the Shakedown. What are the first impressions? How did the program go for you? Esteban Ocon: Yeah, feeling good. I think, frist of all, an unbelievable effort from the team really to put the car down, you know, at 9:20 this morning. But the was ready at 9:00 you know. We were waiting on a bit of a better track condition and a few things that we wanted to be perfect before we went out. But yeah, from Fiorano testing with Ollie to here there's been moving like people have climbed mountains really to make this car work and it's been really good. So, we are dealing with the plan, learning as it goes. Of course, it's a busy program that we have for the day. So you know, its gonna be difficult to complete it. But for the first real day of driving, I think so far it's going really well and we'll keep pushing to make sure that all the details are covered. But we have more days than normal which is a good thing. Q: Very early days, of course, but just how different are these cars to drive? Have you had a chance to play around a little bit with some of the new modes? Ocon: Yeah, it's very difficult, very complicated. I got lucky be able to do a lot of simulator days before we started the year, so we are pretty well set on that. Everything is clear, but yes, it's very complicated you know, for all of us. But I hope that this will be the same for everyone, because if it is we're in the same boat, so we'll see. Q: But I get the sense you're really relishing that challange and what about the priorities from here, the rest of the weel here at the shakedown? Ocon: Yeah, the aim is really to learn, to get mileage under the car, you know, see the weak points, what we have to improve really. First feel of things, so we are sure that we take the right development path and we are sure that we put the resources where it matters the most. I got lucky be able to do a lot of simulator days before we started the year, so we are pretty well set on that. Everything is clear, but yes, it's very complicated you know, for all of us. But I hope that this will be the same for everyone, because if it is we're in the same boat, so we'll see. Q: But I get the sense you're really relishing that challange and what about the priorities from here, the rest of the weel here at the shakedown? You may ask why there are so many parts of an animal and rice. Most Jamaicans cannot afford chicken, beef, or fish to feed their families, so they must resort to cuts and trimmings. In other words “Di Pot a boil but di food nuh nuff.” Disclaimer: I am not in the PNP's shadow cabinet, so what I am about to say may not contend. But this is something I've been speaking and writing about for years. I would like you to think for yourself and re-examine with data some long-held beliefs that others have tried to impose on you, saying they are supposed to be in your self-interest. Today, I want to highlight and explain just one and why it is a significant reason why our people remain unhealthy with obesity, high blood pressure, and other primary health ailments. They cannot afford to buy a balanced food basket because the cost of chicken is out of their reach. For decades, Jamaica has had 250% duty protection on chicken meat. Globally, the average import duty rate on chicken in other countries is 24%, so why must it be 250% in Jamaica? (it’s actually 260%) Is this really in our people's national interest, or are we serving the interest of a very few individuals, in particular 2 companies? Before you have a knee-jerk reaction to 'yes, it helps local production," let us look at the data rather than an emotion. The International cost breakdown of a chicken is feed (largely corn) at 61%, baby chicks at 18%, housing at 7%, others at 10%, and labor at only 4%. We do not make feed in Jamaica. We don't produce corn. We don't produce wheat or soybean; the inputs that go into feed. What we refer to as feed mills in Jamaica are really big silos and a mixer that blends these imported inputs into the final product, much the same as concrete is composed of sand, stone, cement, and water. But at least in concrete, all the inputs are produced in Jamaica, so the "local " feed is a totally imported product. So, in effect, the local Jamaican direct cost input of chicken is less than 10%. Therefore, I challenge the logic of providing excessive duty protection to any product with a local input of less than 20%, much less chicken, whose input is less than 10%. All the inputs in animal feed are traded as commodities on the world market, like oil; the price fluctuates in keeping with the law of supply and demand. The price of corn has fallen from $801 (US/Bu) April 2022 ,to less than $392.50today ( Check it yourself on on straight mathematical terms with 50% reduction in the cost of feed which represents 61% of the cost input of chicken our chicken prices should have gone down by about 30%, but instead it went up. Who benefits? Certainly not the Jamaican public whose citizens find it hard to afford a whole chicken dinner, certainly not the workers at the factory whose pay remains much the same, and certainly not the Jamaican economy as there has been little or no growth in our agricultural sector generally for years. Did you know that if you apply for a permit to import a container of chicken in any form, the ministry of agriculture first refers the matter to the two chicken monopoly producers to find out if they have any objections? Tell them to challenge me on this! What do you think is their response? With that system in place, there is effectively no real competition in the marketplace. In fact there is no marketplace. You pay what the two local monopolies decide you should pay. Since it’s so obvious, you will wonder why this backward policy has continued. Announcement. Keshirea testing begins on SUNDAY. What you've experienced so far with Dremica is us testing features and networking on our small test island. We're really grateful for the help and support of all 300+ of you last Carnage. It's only a glimpse of what is being worked on. But now it's time to experience the true beginning of a web3 MMORPG with saved player progression, PVP and more. Keshirea testing will begin internally with the team and a handful of dedicated community members on Sunday 13th July 2pm UTC. The usual carnage sessions will be paused until the new Carnage system is announced. Keshirea is what we've been building these past 8+ months. It's possibly over 10x larger than the current test world. Over 30 people have been involved in filing out the world, even I'm excited to explore it. It is a GIANT amount of content to dig your teeth into. We will pause the bi-monthly carnage events whilst we begin to transition to an actual MMORPG experience. Our previous 2 hour speed-run Carnages were a great testing platform, but I want us to now have our character data saved between sessions and enjoy the real grind. We've all experienced the likes of World of Warcraft and Runescape, I think everyone secretly desires a web3 version of this life-sucking dopamine-fest. That's what we're aiming to build. So on Sunday at 2pm UTC we will open the servers for 4 hours. If everything goes well, the servers will be open at the same time for the entire week, and on Sunday 20th we can have our first PVP tournament. We've intentionally made it so there's no reward system in place for the initial testing. No need to "rush", just enjoy the game. Would really be grateful if the community can assist with structured feedback so we can tackle all the bugs to get ready for what comes next. The first test session will aim to bring in 50 players, and we will scale from there. We will prioritize the team and most dedicated community members first. Authoritative server based in Singapore, me in Australia with 19ms ping & our QA ( test #3236 on screen) with 300ms ping in Europe. Just sharing this as a quick example of the results we have experienced in QA regarding the interpolation smoothness we mentioned in our latest article. To experience this kind of smooth responsiveness when I am connecting in Australia, to a server in Singapore playing with someone in Europe, is pretty cool. These are the type of results we've experienced in QA & hopefully most testers have a similar experience, but that is the whole reason of the Pre-Alpha state, to test different PC & network environments, and then identify any issues, fix & improve. We are going to test different server locations, starting with Singapore, and it would be useful to see how say a group of testers from Europe experience multiplayer on the Singapore server, a group between America and Europe, a group based only in Asian / Oceania. Remember, this specific multiplayer system we are testing now is for the open world of #E2V1 & will mainly be for interactive experiences that will not always require fast responsiveness meaning people from different locations around the world can interact without too much risk of losing out on something if they have a slightly higher ping. For experiences that involve PvP & even some Co-op PvE type experiences, we will run dedicated services for the specific group of Players participating, with options to select regional location, as those experiences will obviously require lower ping, more responsiveness and so forth. This has been covered briefly in the past but just reminding people again who may have missed that or forgotten. Final reminder, if someone has a really bad internet connection & high ping they will glitch - we can't control how good someone's internet connection is.
