Insane waves pounding Mousehole today. #storm #cornwall

It’s the edge of Hurricane Isaac. Have you noticed these events get worse since they’ve been given names? They get all uppity and full of themselves.

That's not due till next week, apparently. But climate change is real and extremely worrying.

Wow! Special place in my heart for Mousehole. When I was 7 I learnt to swim in the harbour and it was the first place I ever went fishing. Massive homemade Cornish pasties at the B&B as well if I remember right (it was 57 years ago!)

Still remarkably flat where I am on the north coast. Very weird.

We were down there two weeks ago. All was calm and wonderful.

It was hot, sunny and still the day before!

@RichmdSewerRat I lived in Salcombe, South Devon but never got to visit Mousehole. I wish I had. One of my favourite books is set there - The Little Country by Charles de Lint.
