It's great that it's an American company, for a change.

this was a very very enjoyable video about the fiber optic cable

Of course the British Victorians as created the first transatlantic cable though in the 1800s. It took many tries.

@SpaceX and @Starlink are changing this.

Don’t run any cables to India please In fact, cut all cables to the third world, let’s keep the internet pure ♥️

Wow I didn’t expect to watch this whole video but it’s very interesting.

Long time I haven't watched a cool video on X

This proves satellites dont exist and if they did we would have heavy interruption on our internet etc

Not seeing a lot women working for that company…wonder why?

Hey @grok how much undersea transit will Starlink v3 be able to replace?

Soooooo satellites ARE fake.

I can’t imagine how much a foot of this cable costs let alone thousands of miles of it, let alone again the cost to install it.

Surprisingly good video for anyone not familiar with these cables - but why use AI for voiceover? Turns it from a 10/10 video to a 6/10 because of how weird the vocal intonations sound.

you may ask why they don't use machines to wind the cable, the reason is Human hands offer the care needed to make sure it is rolled correctly and without breaking. these cables are so important you can't leave it to a machine that may break the cable or not roll it correctly.

One company in America…. No wonder we don’t have jobs…. This is the most depressing job.. literally one company… might well let China do it like everything else… America doesn’t expand shit

I though we had satellite for phones. Im starting to believe the earth theories 😶🌫️

Indistinguishable from magic

So why do we have satellites then

Lifting a 125,000 lbs winch off of one of subcom's ships in Baltimore.

What happened to satellites

Can we just not service any of the the cables going in and out of India and the middle east please?

Apart from meta Google and Amazon who are Subcom customers? Who pays them to lay cables?

@grok how can all data flow through 10 cm thickness

But why if there is satellite

very educational

Really neat video…

Primitive technology
