BYC condemns the use of force against the family members of Zaheer Baloch and other peaceful protesters in the strongest terms. Today, the 11-day sit-in protest by the families of forcibly disappeared Baloch individuals was attacked by the forces when they were marching towards the Red Zone. Elderly men, women, and children were subjected to brutal violence, including live firing. Dozens of protesters were taken into custody and shifted to unknown locations. For decades, the state institutions' response to peaceful demonstrations has been violence and intimidation. The forced disappearances and genocide of the Baloch people continue, and when the families and civil society protest, they are treated with cruelty, beaten, dragged, and imprisoned. After facing severe crackdown, the protesters have reorganized and continued their protest. We urge the Baloch and Pashtun people to join the protest as soon as possible and call on the judiciary to intervene in this matter to safeguard the right to peaceful assembly of these already victimized people.

These protesters some of you are pushing hashtags to get them released made life uncomfortable and unbearable for innocent citizens. They harassed and intimidated them. They provoked the security forces unequivocally. These are criminals and must face the law. We blame our colleagues in the media space for pushing this. This is pure hypocrisy. People went on the streets destroying properties and some of you want us to pretend like nothing happened. NEWSGH360 as a media outlet will not condone violence. We condemn this act by the perpetrators and we ask that they face the law accordingly. Any attempt by the Attorney General to free these criminals will be met with strong resistance. I never thought I would see the day that mosques were openly attacked in the UK. For too long, British politicians and sections of the media have adopted the language of extremists, with devastating consequences. We need to confront and take on the far-right, not appease them.

The cops should be charged and the protesters should be freed." Let me ask you this: If you had people break into the foyer of your home shouting things that were threatening to you and your family, and you hit them with a stick, do you think you "should be charged" and the people who broke into your home "freed"? Would you say that the people breaking into your home were "innocent"? What if these people were pushing through the White House doors to get to Trump? If the answer is 'no,' then please be quiet.
