Inside Pratt & Whitney PT6A-67B engine, two turbine systems spin in opposite directions at tens of thousands of rpm, yet they aren't mechanically connected at all. The gas generator spool reaches roughly 37,500 rpm. Its hot gas drives an independent power turbine at nearly 30,000 rpm, producing up to... 1,200 shp. Then there is the gearbox. A compact two stage reduction system has to take that 30,000 rpm input and drop it all the way down to just 1,700 rpm at the propeller, while transmitting roughly 5,000 Nm of torque reliably, flight after flight under all kinds of loads and conditions. All of this happens inside an engines that weighs only about 235 kgs, with interstage turbine temperatures reaching roughly 800°C during takeoff. That combination of extreme speeds, temperatures and mechanical simplicity helped make the PT6 one of the most successful turboprop engines ever built. JUNGWON 🥹😭 🐈: At the beginning of our debut, the only thing that came up when you searched for ‘engine’ was the car engine, but now it’s all ENHYPEN. There’s so much about us out there. 🐈: Looking back yesterday, I realized that we’ve done a lot over almost five years of activities. Even if the fandom name had been ‘mosquito’ I would have still loved it. 🐈: I really mean it. Thanks to you all, the simple name ‘ENGENE’ now makes me think of our community, and it has become something that suddenly comes to mind everytime i pass at gas station, it’s become a special word.

I can tell almost instantly when I meet a young man or woman, whether he or she is a deep thinker. They may not be at the top of their class, but that doesn’t necessarily make them less intelligent than the kid who scored 1500 on his SAT or the guy with an IQ of 134. They may be more intelligent. Much more intelligent, but the methods we have for quantifying that intelligence do not adequately capture the breadth and depth of brilliant minds that exist in the world. So they go unrecognized while the kids who excel on answer-based examinations get the best grades, attend the best schools, earn the best degrees, and, more often than not, go on to have mediocre lives. Why? There is one thing that the most brilliant and accomplished people I have ever met all share in common, and it isn’t pedigree or IQ. It’s curiosity. And not just any curiosity—it’s the inexhaustible kind. It’s the kind that will never be satisfied. In my experience, this is the sort of curiosity that breeds humility and most often coincides with a questions-based mindset. And it’s this type of mindset, not the answers-based mindset our educational system selects for, that is the actual prerequisite for brilliance. I’ve seen this kind of brilliance in physical therapists, plumbers, and pretty much any profession you can imagine that we don’t typically associate with brilliance. But we do associate it with excellence. And that’s because to become excellent at something, you have to become your own teacher. This means going from learning how to give the right answers to learning how to ask the right questions. And that requires curiosity and an almost psychotic commitment to excellence. So, while the person in this video is correct that less intelligent people than he are far more successful than he has been, the more interesting and less remarked upon insight is that people like him are not as brilliant as the system tells us they are.

Tesla car runs out of power in the middle of a road, and the owner uses Honda generator that runs on GAS to charge it up a bit so that he could drive to a nearest gas station, where ofcourse, he will have to wait there all day while his tiny generator charges his car a bit more, so he can actually drive to a real EV charging station. This is not the real Nikola Teslas technology at all. This "future" battery charging technology is pure stupid and its making monkeys out of people. Should've just bought Honda in the first place.

The notion that all new cars suck sort of gets debunked the second the Lexus LFA gets mentioned. One of the only supercars where Lexus did not compensate by making it a hybrid or a twin turbo six cylinder. What Toyota did instead was build an absolute masterpiece, from an engine that is extremely impressive considering it is a V10 that weighs like a V6 and is as compact as a V8, to an exterior package that is truly beautiful for a supercar without going over the top. Seeing this car for the first time at ModaMiami was amazing because of how much it stood apart next to all the fancy Koenigsegg, Czinger 21C, and Bugatti builds, not because it was wilder but because the styling and the lines are truly understated in a beautiful way. Only 500 were built, featuring a carbon fiber body and one of the most legendary engine sounds ever put in a production car.
