Every time I need to move data, I am digging through old bash scripts and praying I do not mess up. Recently I got stuck. I was moving a staging database to a new server and I was not at my PC. I only had my phone. I could not run my scripts and had to wait until I got home to fix it. That's why I built db-mover. This is literally the same logic that powers Ghostty itself. It's happening! Devlog video with more details incoming. This is literally the easiest way to build an AI agent. Zero code. You only need to run a couple of commands. (I've said this before, but Google ADK is my favorite way to build code-first agents.) Here is what you need to do: 1. Open your terminal and create an empty folder 2. Run `uv init` inside the folder (if you don't have uv installed, you are really missing out!) 3. Install the google-adk library using the following command: `uv add google-adk`. 4. At this point, you can use the ask to create your agent with a single command: `uv run adk create --type=config my_agent`. This will ask you a couple of questions, including your GEMINI_API_KEY (you can create one online). 5. The command above will create a my_agent/root_agent.yaml file. Open it and add the following two lines at the end of the file so your agent can use Google to search for stuff: tools: - name: google_search 6. You have everything you need now. Run the adk web interface and start playing with your agent: `uv run adk web` That's it! Literally zero code. The agent works off the YAML configuration file.

Databricks CEO Ali Ghodsi describes the difficulties of building a business around open source: "You have to hit two home runs, consecutively." "Your first home run - and you're banking on hitting that home run - is that your open source project takes over the world. Everybody wants to download it." If you don't hit that home run, Ali says, you just shot yourself in the foot. You just gave away your IP and got nothing back for it. But even if you hit this home run, you still don't have a monetizable business. You still can't make any money. Hermes agent just left the terminal. If you could only learn one thing that will be relevant for the next 10-20 years, focus on learning how to deal with data. The future is not about faster hardware, smarter algorithms, or better ideas. The future is about DATA, and those who know how to deal with it will stay relevant much longer than anyone else. I recorded a video to show you how easy it is to get started. In the video, I'm using Kestra. For a long time, I was a fan of AirFlow. Then, I moved to AWS Step Functions. Today, I only use Kestra. Kestra is open-source (repo link below) and kind enough to sponsor my work. The video will show you how easy it is to do the following: 1. Run Kestra locally (literally, one command) 2. Build a simple flow 3. Run Python scripts as part of your flow 4. Connect to HuggingFace models If you have never built a data pipeline, open Kestra's Quick Start Guide and follow their examples. (I think it will take you one weekend to feel comfortable with the application and build the courage you need to get into more serious work.)

I replaced Claude Code’s default --worktree command with a custom one built around Ghostty, Lazygit, and Yazi. By default, Claude Code creates worktrees inside the .claude/worktrees folder within the same project. That means if you spin up 3 worktrees, you end up with 3 complete copies of your project nested inside your main project. It makes the project structure messy and difficult to manage. So I built a hook that: - Overrides the default --worktree command - Creates each branch in a sibling directory: ../worktrees/branch-name - Automatically opens Ghostty panes - Launches Lazygit and Yazi already positioned in the correct branch directory Install it with: npx claude-code-templates@latest --hook=development-tools/worktree-ghostty --yes Now each branch lives where it should, outside the main project, and your terminal environment is ready instantly.

What if instead of autoresearch reflecting incremental progress from a single person, it reflected *hundreds* of researchers’ progress, updated live, with every run’s data point being interactive and reproducible? You could survey the full space of explored ideas, see which changes actually move the benchmark, and fold the most promising ideas into your next run. Labless ( is my attempt at this. It can support thousands of simultaneous training runs across contributors around the world, each learning & improving together to hillclimb on a fixed benchmark, validated using a standardized codebase scaffold. Importantly, all valid training runs auto-submit to Labless, so failed experiments are as visible and reproducible as the successes. We have an agentic API that lets you or your coding agent study every run submitted so far so you don't waste time investigating something someone already tried, and you can source novel ideas from other contributors. Labless already hosts our Nanopath challenge to build the best pathology foundation model that trains in 1 hour on a single GPU. We are hoping to expand the platform further and support a suite of open-source research challenges. It can support thousands of simultaneous training runs across contributors around the world, each learning & improving together to hillclimb on a fixed benchmark, validated using a standardized codebase scaffold. Importantly, all valid training runs auto-submit to Labless, so failed experiments are as visible and reproducible as the successes. We have an agentic API that lets you or your coding agent study every run submitted so far so you don't waste time investigating something someone already tried, and you can source novel ideas from other contributors. Labless already hosts our Nanopath challenge to build the best pathology foundation model that trains in 1 hour on a single GPU. We are hoping to expand the platform further and support a suite of open-source research challenges.
