What kind of behaviour is this? This is not play this is clear harassment and cruelty towards an animal. That child is pulling the dog’s tail, twisting it, slapping it, jumping on it, and even showing a middle finger as if it’s some joke. How is this being allowed? And what is even more disturbing is that an elder is standing there filming instead of stopping it. This dog is being pushed, stressed, and provoked continuously. Any animal in this situation will react out of fear or pain. And when that happens, who will be blamed? The dog. It will be labelled aggressive and may even be killed. Now honestly tell me in such a situation, what is the dog supposed to do? Stay silent and suffer endlessly? Now who will speak for them ????

The language of Anthropic's Claude AI constitution really makes me squirm, especially recognizing that the people writing it have access to the next version of Claude that we haven't seen yet. They are clearly speaking to it as if it's an entity, as if it's a person, as if it has consciousness, as if it has a will, as if it's another human being. This intellectually desolate back and forth is civilisation-ending, as in, if it is permitted to go on long enough — it will just tear a functioning society into pieces. What's more is that we often talk of alienation, albeit mostly in the context of ethnic enclaves or technology isolating people. Yet the scene couldn't have been more carefully calibrated to elicit total repulsion to the average Brit if it had been manufactured in a lab. Watching a well spoken gentleman make an eminently reasonable and uncontroversial point to be met with a wall of gurning and hectoring punctuated by clapping is intensely alienating. The show is a humiliation ritual for the young British male, a society that loathes you on the one hand and yet regards itself as fully entitled to the contents of your bank account on the other. This is not legitimate. Young men owe this monstrous circus of a society nothing at all — let alone signing up to go die in a ditch in Ukraine for them while they live in the lap of luxury on your dime at home. This social contract is not yours, it's not mine, it has nothing to do with me or you. It has no value. It serves no purpose other than to disempower you and give your money away. It deserves to be tossed in the great dustbin of history. If this is the Britain progressives want, you are on your own.

He's right. And I don't mean that sarcastically, or cruelly, or unkindly. Men, that is your purpose, perhaps above all others. It is the very definition of masculinity. It is to give, always, more than you receive. It is not fair. It is not just. But it is the truth. Importantly, just like Batman, you are under no requirement to save everyone. You should be VERY discerning in this regard... But think carefully about every man you think highly of. All of them, every single last one, in stark terms produces more than he consumes. That is what it is to *be* a man. "But what if I need help?" Then you should seek it. And you should understand that the cloudy voice in your head telling you it would be better to self destruct is an animalistic thing, slamming its hand down on the dopamine button, pumping your head full of fantasies of glorious self sacrifice because it feels good in a moment when you're suffering most. Get it? That's why you're fantasizing about it. Because it feels good, in your moments of most terrible suffering, to see yourself as a hero. The very embodiment of self sacrificing masculinity. It counteracts the pain. It's self medication, it keeps you going. And so you slam down that fantasy button as things get worse and worse and worse... until it's not enough, until the fantasy could not only never be enough, but in order to survive the fantasy simply must start to translating into action. And thus it feels good again. Because now there's hope. There's a goal. The fantasy of being a self sacrificial hero is finally being backed up by action, evidence. "I will die usefully." And the conclusion of all of this is exactly what you expect it would be. Don't let it be.
