CAL FIRE SCU Alma Helitack Copter 614 lowered a hoist basket to the beach and pulled the patient to the highway to the awaiting ambulance. The patient is in critical condition. A 150-foot portion of the pier started floating away after the area experienced a large swell, seeing waves of up to 25 feet.
