Interceptor 007's final offload of its first storm season in LA County.🇺🇸 This looks like the biggest catch so far, bringing us to a provisional total of ≈70,000 kg (153,880 lbs) of trash for this season - all kept out of the ocean and keeping these famous coastlines clean.

I just spent the weekend at Mandalay Beach in Oxnard. The beach was a mess from all the winter storms. Lots of plastic debris, driftwood and tar. Sad to see how polluted our oceans are becoming. Appreciate the work you do. Wish there were more of you out there!

Congratulations; that’s quite a haul! What was the ultimate fate of the floating debris that you collected? And does the Jones Act require that the debris be carried on a ship constructed in the United States, that flies the U.S. flag, and is owned and crewed by U.S. citizens?

It's worth considering that reaching the source of the problem may be important.
