But, in that moment, my three-year-old son Matthew walked into my bedroom and saved my life. I truly believe it was an intervention from God. After that moment, I cried out to God and told him that if he showed me the way, I would put in the hard work to dig myself out of that bed and dig my family out of poverty. My mindset changed. I used to see myself as a victim. I would ask myself "Why me?" After that moment, I started to tell myself "Why not me?" I worked hard to overcome the obstacles I faced in my life and I will work even harder to become the first black Republican elected to Congress in the history of Ohio.

Intelligence agents showed up at my door late last year. I told them to leave. They proceeded to call me from anonymous numbers repeatedly. Contacted my gym. Told me they wouldn’t go away unless I “built a relationship with them” as an asset. “Your audience will never know” Returned to speak with me multiple times claiming they were giving me “last chances” before they threw me to the wolves. They told me that the courts wouldn’t care if I was actually guilty or not. That essentially someone had to take the fall and I could ensure it wasn’t me. It was repeatedly implied to me that: “You’re smart you know it’s not what’s true that matters it’s the perception” I was made to believe there was a potential arrest coming. Made to believe I could never travel to the US again without being arrested by the FBI. Made to believe I might not be around to see my child grow up. None of these things were true. I can enter the US without issue. I was never arrested. I did nothing wrong. I was psychologically manipulated for months in an attempt to turn me into a government asset. We have one party consent in Canada, and I believe it is in the public interest for people to understand how this works, as I know I’m not the only one. I have nothing against the agent. He was just given instructions and a job. But I have no doubt if his job were to destroy my life and try to jail me based on “perception” not “truth” he would do it. I’m just doing my job as well by publishing this. These are just a few excerpts cut from hours of conversations to give people an idea of our conversations:

I think a lot about the relationship I have with my own inner demons. It’s never been easy for me to face how I get seduced by chaos and turmoil. It makes me feel claustrophobic. Disease is about facing that fear, facing myself and my inner darkness, and realizing that sometimes I can’t win or escape the parts of myself that scare me. That I can try and run from them but they are still part of me and I can run and run but eventually I’ll meet that part of myself again, even if only for a moment. Dancing, morphing, running, purging. Again and again, back with myself. This integration is ultimately beautiful to me because it’s mine and I’ve learned to handle it. I am the conductor of my own symphony. I am every actor in the plays that are my art and my life. No matter how scary the question, the answers are inside of me. Essential, inextricable parts of what makes me me. I save myself by keeping going. I am the whole me, I am strong, and I am up for the challenge. Happy Halloween.

Yesterday, when I was photographing bighorns at Garden of the Gods, I realized most people wouldn’t have noticed them if they didn’t see me with my big lens first. I kept moving around from spot to spot because people kept pooling up right behind me, amazed, but in my bubble. Every time I’d move to a different vantage point along the fence line, people would begin to gather behind me. But I heard a couple interesting things yesterday, aside from 3 different languages, Spanish, German, and Japanese, I heard someone ask, “are those real? They don’t look real” All while the bighorns were moving around and munching on grass. That made me chuckle. And then I heard a man in his 70s say how happy he was because he had never seen bighorns in person before, and that made my heart smile. Of all the interesting commentary from yesterday, that was my favorite.

I was sent some disturbing footage in the last few hours that has my stomach in knots and has me contemplating the internet. Thankful to have people that look out for me out here, but part of me would rather not even know. For all the “you need to let it go comments” … I’m still in awe of the blindsided betrayal by someone whom I thought was a friend, & the slander/defamation of character from said person that transpired on X last fall in the days after my suspension that was out of retaliation for the support I received from all of you, in addition to the fact I still occupy his thoughts and content. Guy even made a TikTok “stalker” video about me stating I need to sleep with one eye open because Mr. filthy is coming for me. I’ve never had someone obsess on me, watch my every move “Daddy sees it all”, slander me, and threaten to call my employer to play games with how I provide for my family. It’s a level of cyber-bullying I’ve never witnessed. Evidently he still watches me from a distance, has imaginary conversations with me when he streams, thinks of me when he urinates, and threatened to call my employer for streaming this week on YT (despite being off that afternoon.) This is just all too much. Gonna ghost for a while to protect my mentals and my family. This stress isn’t worth it.

The Nigerian Police stopped me on my way to Ekiti State after seeing the ₦300,000 I was carrying. They suspected I had more money, arrested me, and fabricated false charges against me. They threw me in jail. When they brought me out, I thought they were going to kill me, but they took me to court instead. The judge ordered me remanded in prison. On my next court date, the case was dismissed, and I was released.I just got out of prison simply for deciding to travel to Ekiti.
