For those unfamiliar with it, soundsright.earth is a project led by the Museum for the United Nations, and allows for Nature itself to be credited on collaborative releases with artists and their work. On Friday the 16th of May, a new version of Like Real People Do will be released alongside the anniversary vinyl pressing which features the bird song, cricket song, rain fall and thunder of my beloved home of Wicklow. 50% of the royalties from this version of the track will flow through to conservation efforts around the world. The first video only lived on Team Liquid IG stories for the day, so I wanted to post it here to give it a permanent home. What started as simple flat renders turned into a small animations experiment. I used a basic rig and filmed myself as reference (because that’s what animators actually do, reference is everything), and just went for it. The funny part is, once I took that risk, the creative ideas started flowing. Pushing past the safe option is what made this feel more alive and if I hadn’t tried, this videos would never have existed. It’s simple, but I’m genuinely proud of how it turned out, especially since this is far outside my comfort zone. Sometimes the best growth comes from just trying. Hello Hugh Thomas , let’s do it one by one, sample by sample, stone by stone. Whenever an artificial stone recipe of mine reaches a certain stage that’s the results are comparable to the natural version I’ll send a cast sample to you (with its mold) to analyze. The first one could be this perfectly chiseled fake limestone cube. As you can see you can’t fit a razor blade between the stone and the cheap silicone mold from Temu. This proves my micro chiseling skills. The recipe is public, you don’t even need my cube, you could create your own - but you won’t. So I’ll send this cute cube to you. The “secret” recipe is: I started from wood ash lye, also called potash, or K2CO3, by slowly dripping water through hard wood ash. Hard wood ash from your fireplace, yeah. Then I added slaked lime, and the chemical reaction produced fine, molecular level CaCO3 particles, fine limestone floating in the liquid. FYI: the secret chemical reaction is, and was in the ancient times as well: K2CO3 + Ca(OH)2 = CaCO3 + 2KOH Yummy! Next step: I let the limestone particles settle, and poured the KOH, potassium hydroxide solution above (that also formed in the liquid, see above) into the kitchen sink as it is a very good drain cleaner indeed. I added water and poured it into the sink several times, trying to clean the slurry from the KOH. So yes, the cube is from almost pure limestone, CaCO3 - with some residual KOH contamination. The KOH contamination can be reduced infinitely, I just stopped after 4 rounds. (Pro tip: put the slurry into a filter bag and put the bag into a mountain creek for an hour.) The next step is filtering and pressing the remaining liquid from the slurry. Because it’s a wet mess at this point. Pressure is a key factor to success! At least one thing is accurate from the universal canon: no pressure-no stone. How do I know? By trying and failing a few (dozen) times. So I poured the white limestone slurry into a sock 🧦 and pressed and squeezed it by hand - and that was JUST enough pressure for the magic to happen 😮 It looks like nature/god is on our side, everything is working as it was designed this way. Then I put the almost dry limestone paste into this Temu mold. Fun fact: it still contains a lot of water which will eventually be pressed out as the crystallization progresses, so we’ll need to get rid of that water through a hole, a nub. But there is no hole 🕳️ on this Temu mold so I poured the excess liquid from the top a few times. Hardening time=drying time=crystallization time : 1 week. The important lesson I learned from this experience is as follows: I tried to understand why this sludge turned into hard stone, because, as we were told, IT IS IMPOSSIBLE, and my understanding is this: wood ash lye does two different magics in parallel for this to happen: 1. It magically contains the right kind of contamination to facilitate calcite crystal formation and 2. The incredibly high pH (remember, 2 molecules of KOH are produced from 1 molecule of K2CO3!) in the liquid boost the calcite formation even more. ———- My only request from you and your colleagues concerning this analysis is full, 100000% transparency. And be honest. I know something you clearly don’t: you have lost this battle already. We need the data fast, not in 4 years or something. Transparency means sharing whatever you find here on X, without scientific drama and pullbacks. We don’t need a 947 pages scientific paper. We need the results, the data only. BTW: I already know what you will find: a “special type of natural limestone” with some minimal potassium contamination🤣🤣🤣 Now feel free to DM me, let this scientific analysis happen! And thank you for your offer!

Strait of Hormuz over the last 24 hours: calm before the storm. Following yesterday's escort, there was nothing today. Traffic visibly dropped. The US gave Iran 24 hours to make a public statement about how the Strait of Hormuz is open, and there will be no further attacks on commercial vessels. But as you have all seen from my daily updates, the Oman lane was always going to be contested, so this is not new. The fact that the US issued another ultimatum just means escalation is inevitable. This comes after President Trump said that the ceasefire is no longer in place. Regardless, inbound tankers have been nonexistent for the last 5 days. This will force Gulf producers to shut-in production again. This is an all-or-nothing conflict. Let's see how this weekend unfolds. I have included the video from MarineTraffic and my table for inbound tankers below.

After my yesterday post regarding merchant need a united consensus price to join in barter. I received some merchant and businesses feed back. They told me what I analysis is a totally true and indeed! Business man who are also pioneers support Pi Network. However they dare not to join in now ( especially with high value products) just because the price hasn't been united yet. Even though a lot of pioneers and merchants support GCV already but there are many malls and merchant price is super low exist. Some price maybe is only $1 or less. I heard a merchant who list his products on xx mall complain. He said he earned more than 2000 Pi but he can't survive now because he ran out of inventory and no FIAT to restock. This is a proof that low consensus cannot help merchant get rid of cash flow problems. Merchant can only resolve this problem when more merchant join in to create inner eco cycle or open mainnet. As I discussed before open mainnet need eco utility mature. But how can eco utility mature when there is no united price and safe price? This is the question all community should think about it? If all merchants want to realize cash flow, there must have Consensus price so it's fair to all merchants! Otherwise it will create speculation on Barter products and it will damage all Eco. Before open mainnet this is the most important thing for pioneers and merchants! Hackathon provide technical resolution. The inbound tanker flows have slowed to a trickle and with the latest attack from IRGC using missiles (previously drones), the situation appears to be escalating. From a flow standpoint, inbound tanker rate is insufficient to change the production shut-in math. Yes, there are some loadings going on, but if the onshore storage drains with no visibility for a lot more VLCCs, the production will not restart, which is the crux of the issue. I guess time will tell what happens from here on out. I suspect the US will keep testing Iran's resolve with the Oman route. Note: At the beginning of the video, you will see the large group of vessels leaving associated with Japan. I have included video from MarineTraffic and my table of inbound tankers below.

Hi everyone Great news, we have sucesfully cashed out all the money from the wallet that the mom gave us, and this morning me and my brother, went to their village to give them the money in exchange for the solanas raised It took some effort and help from 28. Jun to prove that the crypto community actually raised all this money, but luckily they managed to pull it off. With the 19 000$ that we have raised + what 28Jun has raised, we have purchased a new home for them in their village ( il get the photos of that too) , as this one was not in great condition and it is too small for such a big family. Hope will always have a home with us. As I hinted at this morning, I got a sense from the property manager that this tear down ranch house may not be available as a rental for much longer… we could try to buy the lot but the process is long and complicated…and there would be no house standing while it all played out. And we’d be competing against a bunch of local developers. We went in another direction. To be honest this is a plan/project we’ve been working on for the last six months. I’ll cut to the chase. We bought a house under construction four doors down. It’s already part of Hope and the herd’s habitat so the adjustment should be fairly smooth. If you look at the first photo shot from the top floor of our new house you can see our small ranch rental between the blue house and light brown one. We’re moving in. Some of our deer friends have already joined us. See short video shot from our new rear deck.

The invisible cost to every Robinhood $HOOD trade you make - their trades are not free! - "Robinhood trades are not free" - "When you pay for order flow, you're probably charging your customers more, and pretending to be free" - "It's a very dishonourable, low grade way to talk" - "Nobody should believe Robinhood's trades are free" Translation: Robinhood doesn’t charge commissions, but it makes money by selling your trades to market makers i.e. “payment for order flow”. Instead, when you click Buy, Robinhood sells your order to a big trading firm (Citadel etc). That firm executes it and pays Robinhood for sending the order. Example: - If the best price in the market is $10.00, but you get filled at $10.02, that 2 cents difference looks tiny… but over thousands of trades and millions of users, that’s real money. - You didn’t pay a commission, but you still paid in the form of a slightly higher price! You feel like it’s free, but you get slightly worse prices on every trade! That cost is invisible - but you're still paying it! In addition: Those firms (Citadel etc.) also get visibility into retail order flow. They see what millions of small traders are doing and can position themselves more effectively to profit from you!!! Common Sense Investing TIP: - If a business says something is free, but earns money from your activity, it’s not free! - never forget.
