Look at the state of this🤦🏼‍♀️ Screeching, aggressive & mostly masked activists, literally closing down a street to stop people attending a debate. They think they have the right to dictate what people can & can not listen to….Yet they think other people are the ‘facists’. The debate was whether “the West is right to be suspicious of Islam”? The local paper describes Tommy Robinson 🇬🇧 who was speaking at the debate as a “right-wing agitator” and an “ultra-nationalist”. The same outlet merely describes these aggressive activists - preventing people attending & clashing with police etc - as simply “protestors” who were “mostly peaceful”. Why are supposed right wing influencers slowly trying to nudge Christians to Islam by using the bait of “well in Islam they believe that Jesus Christ is the messiah.” So what. In Islam, Jesus Christ is also portrayed as the antichrist. Islam teaches Dajjal the anti-Christ: • He will claim to be divine • He will call himself a messiah • He will perform supernatural works • He will promise paradise but lead to hell • He will claim he can raise the dead • He will present himself as having the “kingdom” Islam says: THIS person is the deceiver. What you are about to watch is the **final round** of the most prestigious national high school debate tournament. Team A proceeds to tell Team B that they **will not** be debating the assigned topic (benefits/costs of the IMF) because trans people are being genocided by MAGA Republicans and that is way more important than debating the IMF. Team A starts off by playing an audio clip from a 1980s AIDs protest and says that “28 states want to kill” trans people like her. They tell the judges that this round "does nothing to the IMF itself" and as such they have decided that "this round is going to be a debate about debate" and the judges' "choice instead is whether to affirm our performance." They proudly declare that they will "occupy the debate space until trans debaters can participate safely." Team B then immediately concedes the round because they don’t want to dispute that trans genocide is real and be labelled transphobic. The rest of the round is a struggle session where Team A states that misgendering is “violent” and that if you do it, you should automatically lose. This is the *final round* of the *most prestigious high school debate tournament* of the school year, and they made a mockery of it with their selfish, unintelligible performative rant. The worse part? The judges praised Team A for their bravery and courage and crowned them the national champions. This is sick. It’s anti-merit, anti-debate, and anti-American. No wonder droves of kids are quitting high school debate. The National Speech and Debate Association cannot be reformed. It’s time for viable high school debate alternatives to stand up and welcome young Americans who actually want to debate. I believe my non-profit Incubate Debate will be one of those alternatives.

My debate last night at the Oxford Union went ahead despite shabby policing and scummy protestors trying to shut it down. We debated whether or not the West should be suspicious of Islam. I am a great believer in the power of debate and discussion, especially on important topics like this one. I am against violent mobs trying to shut down debate and stop other people from speaking at or attending debates to hear varied opinions and views. This should be a default position for free Westerners.

A few points about this clip of Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan. 1/ Invoking Christianity as a reason to be tolerant of other religious expression is perhaps not a good idea when the religion in question is not tolerant. 2/ He’s worried these ideas are no longer ‘far-right’ but now mainstream. The real concern is that strategies to shut down legitimate debate about Islam are no longer working. 3/ Trying to use Rishi Sunak to shame the Tories does the opposite. He was voted leader on his merits, not his ethnicity. Same with Kemi Badenoch. As was John Major. This just proves the issue here is ideology not racism. What One Nation in Islam means is that everyone follows Islam. 4/ The chutzpah of invoking Jews and Hindus. Two groups who don’t fare well when it comes to the tolerance of Islam. This issue has been festering for years. It traces back to the early 1990s, when Mahathir Mohamad began mainstreaming political Islam into the system. He used it to challenge PAS, lost the game and now a permanent part of the nation's body politic. Moral policing is the most visible expression of political Islam in practice: using the power of the state and peer pressure to enforce Islamic norms, in this case dress codes, so that Muslims (and, indirectly, non-Muslims) are compelled to live according to "Islamic standards" in public spaces. For Muslims, religion is no longer the private space. The people viciously attacking Bella online are often the same individuals who privately consume large amounts of porn, especially Asian and Indonesian porn. In public, they project an image of pious, devout Muslims, hoping others will look up to them and to conform to what the state wants. In private, their behaviour is the complete opposite. This is classic identity politics enabled and encouraged by the political environment the state has created. They assert their Islamic identity by publicly shaming others, while living with little regard for the moral standards they demand from everyone else. I agree with Harith that this behaviour is unacceptable. Unfortunately, it will not stop and it is likely to get worse. As long as Muslim politicians and religious leaders continue to weaponise identity politics with Islam at its core, these public displays of outrage will intensify. The ultimate irony, of course, is that corruption and watching porn are quietly tolerated, as long as one isn’t caught.
