I immediately began contacting the Foreign Ministers of regional countries... I knew the plan had been pre-designed: if Iran were attacked, we would target American military bases in the region... I called all the Foreign Ministers of the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council countries and told all of them that we would target American military bases... I emphasised to them that this action was not against the regional countries, but against American forces stationed on their soil. Dr. Araghchi says they all protested and said such an action should not be taken... In response, Dr. Araghchi told them that "we did not start this war; it was a war imposed on us"... I also reminded them that we had informed them of this in advance... from that afternoon onward, our ambassadors were summoned in some regional countries... ODM must not use the funeral of Ong’ondo Were to now target others. Ong’ondo Were was a serial killer in politics. That was not a sane leader. He was too hungry for blood.
