Protesters barrelled through Leeds over the weekend as they screamed into a microphone, calling to “globalise the Intifada”. The Metropolitan Police and Greater Manchester Police have already stated that they would make arrests against those chanting this because of the threat to Jewish communities. Indeed, according to our representative polling, 95% of British Jews consider the phrase ‘Globalise the Intifada’ to be a call for violence against Jewish people. But what about areas outside of London and Manchester? Do these words suddenly take on a different meaning as soon as you leave these areas? Does the threat magically vanish? What say you, West Yorkshire Police? Will you take action against those calling to “globalise the Intifada”?
