As someone who was a strong member of the Ionic community, this just gives me the chills. I want to help you with anything, man.

🙏 thank you! Issues and pull requests always very welcome!

Love that Angular’s custom renderer is being utilized more and more!

Your excellent angular-three renderer has always been an inspiration 🙏

thank you!

congrats on shipping this. as someone on react native + expo, what would make me pick angular native over rn? is it mostly for angular teams or is there a perf/dx win too?

Thanks, it's the react native experience with the angular framework, so existing angular web apps can now share code with their mobile app. If you're happy using react native, then it doesn't make sense to switch, but for those with existing angular codebases it makes more sense.

@erkamyaman_ng a new framework to support for our devtools 🤗 Great job @ashh640 💙

@erkamyaman_ng Thank you! If you need any changes on our end just get in touch 🙏

Great job, but how's it different than @NativeScript ?

There are certainly similarities, the main difference is it is built on top of Expo which in my experience gives much better dev experience, and has a much bigger ecosystem which you can use. Nativescript is an impressive technology, but here we get the quality and ecosystem Expo provides while still being able to use Angular.

Omg are we getting @solid_js next? I dont wanna be dependent on React anymore🙏🏻

@solid_js While I personally don't have the capacity to add support for it, I would say the same approach could be used to make a Solid JS equivalent 😊

@solid_js Very understandable! Sick project you made!

Man, this is lit 🔥

Thank you 🙏

Apparently we just got React Native without React before GTA VI

👏👏👏👏👏

That’s awesome! Does it work with Expo Application Services (EAS)? I’m mostly interested in compiling and signing app binaries without needing local Xcode or Android Studio setups

Thank you 🙏 this is one aspect I haven't fully tested yet, however, that being said, based on the testing I have done I'm not aware of any blockers or issues that should prevent this from working, certainly something I want to verify end to end in the near future

This would be huge for me. I can’t wait to try it out!

Awesome, any issues let me know!

Nice. Hope @NxDevTools support comes in the future if this thing blows up in the community. Expo(Angular Native) + AnalogJS(backend) is quite similar to what I'm currently working on Expo(React Native) + Next.js(backend) ✌️

@NxDevTools We have an Nx package that adds support to Nx monorepos which hopefully should allow this kind of setup 😊

@NxDevTools Oh my bad 😅. I can't find it on the official Nx Plugins Registry. Again thank you for the clarification. Now I'm hyped to try this partnered with AnalogJS as my backend. ✌️

@NxDevTools Thanks for reminding me to get it on there! Any feedback let me know 🙏

Quick question: is there a full guide for writing a custom native module and wrapping it as an Angular service? I couldn't find one in the docs. Any plans to add it?

That's a great suggestion! I'll certainly add one!

I held myself not to type plugin instead of module or package. I have an illness called I am used to Capacitor and its wording. But no worries it's not contagious!

😂 that's fortunate! Docs page up, any issues let me know

@goetzrobin spartan port wen 👀😆

🐐

Finally someone using agents to build something actually cool and useful. Congrats 🎊

Outstanding job, wish you good luck

This is unbelievable works. This brings really fullstack from backend, frontend to mobile. Imaging build web projects with angular stack, then have to use different stack for mobile. This could help many devs jump between web to mobile with minimal learning curve. So awesome!

Holy fuck

@NativeScript It supports everything from Angular, Vue, Svelte, Solid, and pure JS/TS 😶

Great! What is the module system for native? Is it Expo, just with Angular frontend? I wonder if Nitro Modules would work here too! @mrousavy

@mrousavy Same as in react native, expo modules and nitro modules work fine too 😊

Awesome! What were the hardest parts to get this to work?

The hardest part was fitting Angular, which edits in place, onto Fabric, which never edits a node once it's committed, without forking React Native. Close behind was I wanted extensive css support which angular devs have come to expect on the web (which also enables tailwind support). Converting CSS to style objects was one thing, but making inheritance work like the web and CSS variables with inheritance was a fun challenge to say the least.

@cedric_dev Nice! What was the solution regarding the in place edit?

@cedric_dev I have a short section in the docs that covers the basics. Interestingly it is framework agnostic, so we've already had people using it to get svelte rendering native too

@SantoshYadavDev Modern Angular is evolving too fast 😍

cant wait for next year when someone builds vue native on top of expo too and we finally complete the full circle of javascript bingo. again

Fuck yes

Good to see cool stuff for Angular, but the era of web frameworks compiled to native is over (including react native and Flutter). The cost of a real native app is 0 now

Good news this ones

Wawou really 🔥

This is a game changer🔥🔥

Finally!!!! I'll take a look thanks

Beautiful!

👀

Interesting

This looks amazing
