Thanks! Powered by Claude Code 💪

Congrats on shipping, Evan! This looks great

Thanks Addy!

👀 👀 👀 👀

Excited to get your feedback

expo pulled up late and stole the show congrats evan, head of ai era starting with a banger

🫡 excited for you to try it, feels great

@_hassankhan Congrats! Probably the first of its kind! and the only thing we’ll need moving forward - no pressure Evan and team 😅

@_hassankhan This has definitely been a tricky one, but really excited to make Expo and full native development available to everyone!

contrats, this looks awesome 🙌 will this fix Error code 65 ?

Generally related to the machine and local config, since builds run in clean VMs it should pretty much eliminate the problem.

congrats!! can use with existing expo apps?

Yes! You'll be able to import any GitHub repo, including private repos! Agent can make contributions, upgrades, fix bugs, etc.

going from a prompt to SwiftUI in the browser is wild 🚀

This app is 100% SwiftUI

@ForbiddenSteve No need for the companion app to get the build to a simulator

@ForbiddenSteve It also installs on device and for Android. What’s the other way though?

@ForbiddenSteve Embed our simulators to your web page and install on every build, like Rork Max. No need for a Mac at all

@ForbiddenSteve We use appetize for cloud sims right now but my DMs are open, would love to learn more

Wow Evan! awesome bro, are you open to any donations via github? wanna support you, looks cool!

@0xJuicy__ Thanks! Using Expo would already mean a lot to me.

Gonna use it for sure, but would love to donate regardless!

Will this also work for already developed apps with Expo?

Yes! You'll be able to import existing apps and have the agent push to your GitHub repo via the Expo GitHub app.

Really cool! I joined the waitlist. Can't wait to try it out.

this is a big one fr!!! @expo is truly the 🐐 of mobile development

Love this i can’t wait to try it!!!!! So many ideas!!!!

@maxast Just saw this on YouTube. Looks awesome!! Gonna give it a whirl today. 🙌🏼🙌🏼

@Scobleizer Does it work with prebuild too?

@Scobleizer Yes! It can write entire native modules and even develop entirely in native languages without React.

@Scobleizer Can’t wait to test it!

@Scobleizer Amazing stuff Evan. So impressed with what you’re doing with Expo 🙌🏼

@Scobleizer Appreciate it!

Can it be used just for native module development as well? Would be awesome to develop and test them in expo agent, then push to the monorepo.

Yeah, it built me a video compression native module the other day.

That's awesome. It was just yesterday when I thought that something like this is the missing piece.

Good thinking!

Been waiting for this.

The wait is nearly over! It’s exciting

Wouldn't mind early access ;)

Let me in, Let me IN man Waiting for beta access

Right on time (or too late) 3 expo apps in the works. Can I get access pls pls pls @Baconbrix

Will be able to import existing repos for the agent to contribute to!

@Scobleizer Congrats Evan 🥳

The future is going to be 🔥🔥

waitlist common -_- why not just gie us access

We'd like to make sure everyone has a good first experience. Already got some great feedback that we're integrating right now.

nice! Would be curious to see the code of the expo blog app generated and how you render blog posts :)

It just launched URLs — I asked for a quick one. My preference is @bacons/mdx which now supports remote markdown >:)

Awesome video!

Thanks!

Sick!!!

Thanks!

Expo really is the best for mobile apps. Been using you for years ❤️

why does it feel like ive heard this line before "Build truly native iOS and Android apps from a prompt"?

This looks great! Excited to try it out.

Can I use my existing subscriptions (codex, Claude, etc) to build with this or do I need to purchase credits through expo?

Anthropic may ban an account if the subscription is used outside of Claude Code. The augmentations in Expo Agent like expo/skills, Expo MCP, and EAS CLI can all be used locally with any agent, it's just a bit more work to stitch them altogether

That’s what I thought, thanks for the response!

congrats on the launch, looking forward to try it!

🔥

The real moat here is not prompt to app TBH. It is Expo already having SwiftUI, Jetpack Compose, and build and deploy infra, so the agent can actually finish the app.

It's pretty great to say "Make a simulator build" and see it firing up a high-powered mac with complex error mitigation, robust code signing, and comprehensive build caching fire up.

wowww sick

Congrats, but bro you need to catch up the rork and anything, go for it !
