@AutoFAB_inc A crazy big idea. Or is it small idea? Love it!

@Scobleizer @AutoFAB_inc von Neumann proposed self-replicating factories 70 years ago. every attempt dies on the closure problem. can the factory make ALL its own parts, chips and sensors included? that's the gap between cool demo and actual self-replication

@Scobleizer @AutoFAB_inc I love John von Neumann! The neat thing about the AutoFAB is that it doesn't need to make everything on it's own on day one. It's a tool to get to a stage like that. Modern human beings rely on industrial scale agriculture. Even von Neumann probes have a concept of "vitamins"

@AutoFAB_inc Goat idea 💪

@Scobleizer @AutoFAB_inc I hate to say it but you need to spend more money on marketing for people to take you more seriously.

@Scobleizer @AutoFAB_inc Soon soon

@Scobleizer @AutoFAB_inc And I love the vision, hope you guys succeed!

@AutoFAB_inc So cooool, Ansel! 🔥

@AutoFAB_inc Thats supercool!!

What you’ve built is very interesting. Kudos! but I feel the phrase “self-replicating factory” is carrying more sci-fi than engineering right now. The real threshold isn’t whether it can print parts of itself, it’s whether it can close its own dependency stack. PCBs, actuators, chips, calibration, QA, yield. Would be cool to turn it into a reproducible Studio blueprint so others can fork the software + sim stack and push more of that loop closed loop.
