Cursor Automations now support an emoji trigger in Slack. React to any message to kick off a run.

We've also added GitHub triggers for issues, reviews, and workflow runs, plus computer use for cloud agents. See the full update here:

What happens when the automation fails mid-execution does the agent surface diagnostics or attempt self correction? #Cybernorse

This effectively shifts automation from configuration to conversation making intent the primary interface. The real test will be how the agent handles ambiguous or under-specified task descriptions. #Cybernorse

i don’t want automations just for coding things tho like opening pr or issues

And you're not bullish?

Super cool. Excited to test it out!

Looks like infinite leverage. Feels like technical debt when the edge cases hit.

Cursor ❤️

I really should try out cursor... But I've gotten so attached with Vscode 😭

@kieranklaassen can you guys make composer 2.5 available via api? not sdk

Huge! cursor it’s advancing!

👨💻🖱️

love this. wiring triggers and tools by hand is the exact grind we keep hitting on our agents, trying it this week

I'm starting to like it more and more

you read my mind!

damn i really need to spend more time leveraging agents to do my work for me. not even using automations yet.

very cool

Way to burn the credits I got from referring my friends 🙌

Sexy

amazing.

Automations are so good for compounding skills!

agents that trigger on slack messages, code commits, and timers. the job is just becoming a list of things that happen without you. i don't know whether to be impressed or start updating my linkedin

First time heard about Cursor.

I am not convinced the initial setup is the bottleneck. The long tail of edge cases and permission boundaries will still break when the agent runs without supervision. Most teams will still need custom harnesses around whatever the tool generates.

This is huge 🔥 The new /automate skill in Cursor is going to be a game changer. Describe your task in plain language and let the agent set up triggers, instructions, and tools automatically? That’s next-level productivity. Cursor keeps making AI agents more practical and powerful for real work. Can’t wait to try it! @cursor_ai #Cursor #AI #Automation

I wake up there is a new technological advancement

that's the real unlock: collapsing time between idea and shipped product in software engineering isn't just about ui, it's about building au

awesome!

omg thats amazingg!!!

codex drops record & replay and cursor drops /automate the same hour. they're literally racing each other in real time now

Describing a task in plain language and having it set up triggers and tools on its own removes the most annoying part of building automations

🤌🤌🤌🤌

@tibor_tee Very cool!

Love the direction you're going with automations, makes the whole workflow feel a lot more effortless

plain text to configured tools is the dream.
