#JASMY: "Wagamachi" Carbon Credit Initiative in Nagano – Featured in the Media A meeting of the Council for Decarbonization Collaboration, which connects businesses with the city of Nagano, was recently held in Nagano. New projects focused on carbon neutrality were also presented. One week ago, meeting brought together 56 companies and local entities involved in the Nagano Regional Decarbonization Promotion Council, which works on local carbon-neutral initiatives. During this second session, a new participatory project involving local citizens was introduced. The project aims to both stimulate the regional economy and reduce carbon emissions. It is based on the use of carbon cards specific to Nagano Prefecture and regional models that encourage local travel and consumption. Since June of this year, the city of Nagano has launched a pilot program with #Jasmy Carbon Credit Nagano "WAGAMACHI", where citizens can earn carbon credits by purchasing products from companies engaged in decarbonization efforts. These credits can be exchanged for benefits or privileges online, creating a virtuous cycle between consumers and environmentally responsible local businesses.

The UK recently completed a trial of a carbon credit system that sets a daily allowance for each person—in effect, a limit on your ability to purchase food, clothing, goods, and travel as you have always done. The limit has been set at 20kg of carbon emissions per day, with food restricted to 2600g. Food manufacturers are cooperating by adding a carbon statement on their packaging to inform consumers how much of their allowance each product consumes. For example, a packet of cheese accounts for 1100g—almost half of your daily carbon allowance. Different foods have varying carbon rates. Root vegetables like potatoes and carrots are relatively low, while red meat incurs the highest charge – so high, in fact, that if you were to spend your entire daily food carbon allowance on red meat, it would buy you 30g of steak—just one mouthful. You may recall I mentioned this in a speech some time ago and was fact-checked. Well, fact-check this! Net zero is supported by the Liberal Party, the Labor Party, and the Nationals. First she goes along with the Carney story that he was asked to be Finance Minister under Harper "Harper's former director of communications responded to this by saying Carney's not telling the whole story and that Harper in no way supports Carney." Next she says "But we also heard Poilievre doubling down on the need to axe the consumer carbon tax, even though no Liberal leadership candidate supports it going forward." Carney is keeping a Carbon Tax and here is what Poilievre says about it "And after much reflection, I have concluded that the carbon tax will be an even bigger issue in the coming election than we thought." This video shows real-time carbon flows inside a mycorrhizal network. Mycorrhizal fungi form a symbiotic relationship with ~ 90% of terrestrial plants and have done so for 400 million years. These specialized fungi provide plants with nutrients and water in exchange for carbon-based exudates the plant produces through photosynthesis. Current estimates say that between 4 and 20 percent of all CO2 pulled in by plants ends up stored in mycorrhizal tissues. Considering plants need to build an entire above-ground structure, a root system, and produce flowers, fruits, and seeds, this is an astounding amount of carbon to allocate to mycorrhizal biomass. A recent review study estimates that global plant communities transfer 13.1 gigatons of CO2 to the underground mycelium of mycorrhizal fungi each year – equivalent to roughly 1/3 of annual CO2 emissions from fossil fuels. The amount of time the carbon is locked up in fungi’s mycelium remains unknown. Nonetheless, the influx of such a massive amount of carbon into the soil is a boon for soil ecology, nutrient cycling, and the health of water cycles. You cannot agree to have your carbon emissions measured in any way because what they want, like I read out of that Tyson Foods ESG report, what they want is your supplier data and a standardized way of calculating it. Because what do you think the next step is? They're going to want you to reduce it and reduce it and reduce it. It's $3,000,000,000 that the USDA took with no oversight. What they wanna do with it is build a system that measures your carbon emissions. They're kinda giving away what the problem is there. The problem is you and your carbon emissions. And all the bigwigs in agriculture have pretty much signed on to this deal and that narrative, that carbon emissions are this huge problem. But they also want to control how far you can travel. And they've actually tried to regulate this in different places in Europe where they put up cameras that monitor their citizens that make sure they're not traveling too far around the city or even driving older cars and things like that. And the citizens have cut the cameras down. The CEO for Rabobank had said if you can't afford carbon offsets, you should not be allowed to fly. The only people that should be allowed to fly are those that can afford carbon offsets. And if you're too poor to fly and you want to travel, you should put on a virtual reality headset, and that's how you can see the world. They also want to control what you eat. And the New York City schools right now, they have taken meat off the menu for at least 2 days of the week. And the New York City mayor has said that he is working on a plan where he will limit residents' ability to consume meat. And then you have also, you know, ADM and Tyson right now are in the middle of building $500,000,000 plants where they are going to grow insects for human consumption, all in the name of climate change. And they want your land. Biden's, uh, 30 by 30 executive order, which a lot of you are familiar with, I think, um, conservation easements and then, of course, eminent domain in this state. Jamie Dimon, the CEO of JPMorgan, has said using eminent domain, the government should take away farmland so that they can, uh, put up windmills. That's his suggestion. All in the name of climate change. Farm Journal's trust in beef program, which is where the $40 million went to. You can put, EID tag or a tracking device in your calf's ear, and they will store all your information, all that cattle all that animal's information. But then you put an app on your phone, and you put all of the information about your operation into that app, how you have to rotate your cattle, what you feed them, your land, soil. All that goes into the app. — So if you rotate or if you feed certain things, they're going to measure your carbon emissions before and after, and they're going to say that you're calculating your benefits. And so what do you think they're going to do with that information once they can control your entire operation and have all the measurements of carbon emissions from your entire operation, they're going to control every aspect of your life.”
