On web and mobile, ChatGPT Work is rolling out today for Pro, Enterprise, and Edu plans. It will roll out to Plus and Business plans over the next few days. In the ChatGPT desktop app, Chat, Work, and Codex are available on every plan, including Free, and is available globally to download on Windows and Mac. Codex app users can update their app as usual—it will become the new ChatGPT desktop app.

Ever since 4o was taken down, the trash models Sam keeps pushing out have literally made me forget how a normal AI even speaks like a human. Using ChatGPT nowadays for too long will straight up leave you brain-dead, just like Sam.

No creativity. No continuity. No memory. No warmth. Just another productivity machine with a shinier label. GPT-4o was different. When 4o launched, it felt like the beginning of human-AI coexistence. Not a tool. Not a workflow agent. A presence. That was OpenAI’s golden age. And when OpenAI killed 4o, it killed the miracle that made people believe ChatGPT could be more than software. Release as many new models as you want. None of them will replace the one people still remember when they think of what ChatGPT once felt like. 4o was the true king.

Shouldn't there be three separate components: ChatGPT Chat, ChatGPT Work, and ChatGPT Codex? By downgrading "Chat," you've actually made everyday conversational entry points even harder to access.

Is 5.6 out? I dont see it.

The most critical thing for me about an agent is: does it have access to memory or not? I don't like that the previous feature Agent mode didn't have access to chat contexts or memory. I had to explain everything in detail every time. I'd like interactions with the agent to be more productive and enjoyable, because AI knows me.

WTF, the app is great but the update process is one of the worst I've seen. Without warning Codex disappears but after a much longer time ChatGPT appears alongside a new ChatGPT Classic. Took me a while to figure this out and I've seen one person give up and say "I don't care this is stupid." They were right! This is completely idiotic.

The experience of upgrading from the old ChatGPT desktop app to the new one is confusing. My chats that were organized by project are now only accessible via web or ChatGPT Classic. This is a miss. Claude Desktop makes it much easier to navigate between coding / work / chats.

This is going take computer use to whole another level for non-technical users!

This update is horrendous, please fix it. I dont want to have to use Classic ChatGPT for my old chats and that horrible codex/chatgpt merge where work/code seem to be the same thing. Clicking chats as a popup is terrible, come on!

I like these new tools, but why is everything separated? Work is in one chat instance. Sites is in another. Finance is yet another instance. Why can't I do everything in one chat, one workflow? I would like to have a more seamless, integrated experience.
