Admins can create private plugin marketplaces to distribute them across the org. A unified "Customize" menu also gives you more control over plugins, skills, and connectors in one place.

Someone needs to understand this basic economic loop. If you stop paying humans by replacing them with AI agents and bots to deliver services, the very people who could afford those services lose their income. When their earnings disappear, their purchasing power falls. When purchasing power falls, demand collapses. So yes, your service may cost less to produce because you removed human creators, but by not paying humans you also remove your own customers. No customers means falling demand. Falling demand means falling value. And eventually, falling prices. Everything is connected in a circle. The money you “save” in production comes back as lost revenue in the market. Workers are not just a cost. They are the consumers who keep the system alive. An economy cannot sustain itself if it stops paying the very people it expects to buy.

Anthropic just quietly dropped the most dangerous enterprise feature of 2026. Not a new model. Not a benchmark. Cowork. Claude now works across Excel AND PowerPoint end-to-end. Runs the analysis in one. Builds the presentation in the other. That's not a chatbot. That's a junior analyst who works 24/7 for $20/mo. Every consulting analyst just felt a chill. Every investment banking associate just refreshed LinkedIn. And the plugin list reads like a hit list: → FactSet, S&P Global, LSEG → equity research → Docusign, Apollo, Outreach → sales ops → Harvey → legal → Google Workspace, Slack → literally everyone Private plugin marketplaces for enterprises. Meaning: every company can now build custom AI workflows that stay inside their org. This is what "AI replacing white-collar work" actually looks like. Not a dramatic overnight collapse. Just a quiet Tuesday announcement that makes 10 SaaS tools redundant before dinner.

Let's step out of the hype for a second and talk straight facts. This won't replace people already in the field. Claude uses plugins (MCP) to interact with apps it's not a standalone app. It's an orchestration layer, not magic. Context loss in translation - When Claude pulls data from Slack, formats it, and pushes it to Notion via MCP, it's constantly translating across disjointed systems. The broader strategic context gets lost in transit. You get outputs that technically fulfill the prompt but miss the actual business goal. Error compounding is mathematically inevitable - Even with parallel scout agents and swarm-style approaches, the probability of a "clean" output is bounded by individual error rates. If a single agent has even a ~20% error rate, and you're chaining multi-step workflows, errors compound. As I've shown in my research: no matter how efficiently you prompt, the system is fundamentally flawed without continual learning. Plugin-based workflows are brittle - If a tool updates its API, changes auth protocols, or alters its data structure, the MCP connector breaks. Your "autonomous agent" is paralyzed until a human fixes it. This is the biggest flaw nobody talks about. Read/write access is a real risk. Giving an AI access to your local files or company databases via MCP is dangerous. If the model hallucinates or misunderstands a complex multi-step command, it can confidently overwrite the wrong file or dump garbage into your CRM. And per the math it WILL make errors no matter what you do to the model. These are just a few concerns. There are many more.

Most enterprise AI tools feel like a smarter Google search. Cowork is something else entirely. Anthropic just dropped a major update: Cowork now supports plugins that let any team not just engineers build Claude into their actual workflows. Finance teams running custom forecasting models. HR drafting offer letters. Legal flagging contract risks. All through Claude, all without touching code. What makes this different? The plugins aren't locked. They're open-source markdown files. Your admin drops in your company's terminology, org structure, and process docs and Claude starts operating like it was hired specifically for your team. Connectors to Google Drive, Gmail, DocuSign, and FactSet go live today, which means Claude can now pull live context rather than working blind. That's a real shift not just a faster assistant, but one that actually knows what quarter you're in and who your clients are. Thomson Reuters dropped 16% in a single day when early Cowork news broke. LegalZoom fell 20%. FactSet dropped 10%. The market is reading this clearly even if the press hasn't caught up yet. We believe the future of work means everybody having their own custom agent. Anthropic's product team isn't being subtle about where this goes. The next 6 months will show whether it holds up under real enterprise pressure. But right now, the architecture is genuinely interesting.
