Introducing DataBull 🎉 I was paying $39/mo for DataFast just to see which posts made me money. That's $468 a year. Forever. And it goes up as your traffic grows. So I built my own. Same idea: revenue by traffic source. $29 lifetime. Unlimited sites. Unlimited events. Lifetime updates. >

@marclou got marcloud by you

@marclou 😂

The math: DataFast: $9–19/mo, priced by events Plausible: revenue attribution needs the $19/mo plan Fathom: from $15/mo That's $108–228 a year, every year. DataBull: $29 once. It runs on your own Cloudflare, and the free plan covers most indie sites. Year one it already costs less than two months of the others.

What $29 gets you: • Every Stripe, Polar & Dodo sale tied to the post that brought the buyer • Sort sources by revenue, click one, everything filters • Each customer's journey: HN → /pricing → paid $49 • Live map + Telegram ping per sale • Your data stays in your Cloudflare account

"Self-hosted" sounds scary. It isn't: npx databull@latest Click "Allow" for Cloudflare, create your login, done. About 2 minutes. Updates: one command.

This is masterpiece, congrats for the launch.

Danish is goat, never competing with him 🫡

Btw it was about Product not person. Good luck with your new idea.

Race to the bottom

Marc Lou, its done bro

Haha, Indian Marc Lou is here 🫡

This is good ⚡️

Thanks!

Uno reverse

Got it! Customer #1 :)

LFGG 🔥

Good competition! This way SaaS will be dead soon!

I really like it I'm ready to buy it, but I sell through Blink ( not directly through Stripe, Polar or Dodo. If you add Blink as a payment source so sales get attributed like the other providers, I'll buy it right away. Blink runs on Stripe (sellers connect a Stripe Express account), so it might not be much work. Is this something you'd consider?

checking this.... Will get back soon.

@AdvaitVaidya2 How many sites and does it support paddle ?

@AdvaitVaidya2 Unlimited sites. Paddle, LemonSqueezy and Gumroad support coming this week.

wow. looks super cool.

Thankss!!

Is there any option for public sharing?

Yeah, it's coming in the next few days. Gumroad & LemonSqueezy. You can lock at this price if you want :)

How did you make that intro video?

Claude + skills

That's a great idea! Saving money while getting the info you need is a win-win.

This is going to be big

Superb work, 🔥

Wow it's so cool. Btw, how did you make this smooth product launch video? Claude or something else?

Claude and prompting skills 😁

Haha awesome 🙌

Lowkie, I think ima buy it

Go for it 🔥

I was about to pay for datafat for higher plan for but thanks for sharing this! Grabbing the deal ASAP!!

Thanks Advait!! You'll love it!

Bro directly going for @marclou nice

@marclou He's charging a lot for analytics.

@marclou now i will make it more cheap🤪

What about your rankbull ?

It's still there.

Oh well

Great product bro, very low price 🤯

That was the main motive!

😂😂😂 Awesome work! I’ve got this one on the build list also.

Is it the boomerang marc through for newsletters which is now coming back?

let's go

Really good! Super interesting.

Are able to get the source code after purchase?

Nope, you will get a license key and you will be able to install it in your cloudflare through a single command

Lfg !!!

this is super coool 🔥 congrats mate!

@attacomsian What? How do you make profit by giving this lifetime? Database hosting itself cost a lot and what is the data retention period?

@attacomsian It is self hosted.

@attacomsian self hosted won't work man! nobody would want to take care of deployments, database storage (archival, uptime), monitoring, backups, upgrades... additionally, there are services that manage hosting of open source applications...

@attacomsian

it is so cool

Thanks!!!!

How does DataBull attribute a sale that closes days after the visitor's first click?

Each visitor keeps the same ID for a year, and every visit is logged with its source. The ID rides along in the checkout metadata, so a sale days later still links back. Default credit goes to the last visit that wasn't direct (HN Monday → typed URL Friday → HN gets it). First-visit and last-visit models are in settings.

Why not posthog then, its free?

It's too bloated.
