🚨🎙️GIANNI INFANTINO ISSUES EMOTIONAL APOLOGY AFTER FIFA ABANDONS PRIVATE INVESTMENT PLAN “Over the last few days, I have listened carefully to the concerns raised by confederations, federations, clubs, players and supporters from around the world. When this proposal was first discussed, our intention was never to divide football or compromise the values of the game. We believed we were exploring a unique opportunity that could help football grow and create long-term benefits for future generations. However, after hearing the feedback and seeing the reaction across the football community, it became clear that we underestimated the concerns surrounding these plans. We underestimated how many people would view this as a step in the wrong direction, and for that, I take responsibility. To everyone who felt disappointed, betrayed or that FIFA had broken their trust, I sincerely apologize. That was never our intention. The World Cup means far more than any business proposal, and when something creates this level of division within football, it is our duty to stop, listen and rethink our position. We have done exactly that. After careful reflection, we concluded that this was not the right path for the game. No financial opportunity is worth risking the unity of the football family. Football belongs to its supporters, its players and its communities, and their voices have been heard. Today, we move forward together. We have listened, we have learned, and we will work to rebuild the trust of everyone who felt let down by this process. For that reason, the proposal will not proceed, and our focus returns to protecting the future of football and the values that make this sport special.” “We Underestimated The Concerns, And For That I Apologize” No financial opportunity is worth dividing the football family. We have listened, reflected and decided not to proceed. Football belongs to its fans, and today we are choosing unity over disagreement. We have learned from this experience, and we will work hard to rebuild the trust of everyone who felt let down by these plans.” (Skysport)

A White 15-year-old had his spine broken in two places after a Black player for the opposing team performed a wildly illegal, unprovoked body splash at a junior varsity football game in Michigan this week. “What does race have to do with it?” Everything. From hockey rinks to track meets, pro wrestling rings to JV football fields, home invasions to public transportation, and surveillance video to body cams; virtually every instance of zero-impulse-control catastrophic violence we see comes from the same source. Pattern recognition is fundamental to intelligence, and we're done playing stupid to appease people who cheer us being maimed and killed. (No consequences have been reported. The two schools are “handling the matter internally.” Local coverage:

A football club is more than commercial competition and sporting rivalry. It is, above all, a platform for things that truly matter - a place where values and principles should be the foundation of everything we do. Today, we chose to stand on the side of values, meritocracy, and the future. We made a decision to prioritise our fans - even at the cost of a sporting result. It was a bold move, and we believe it carries a significance that goes far beyond Poland. In a world where winning is increasingly treated as the only currency that matters, choosing people over points sends a message that the rest of football needs to hear. This decision has the potential not only to change football in Poland, but to prove that there are still places in this world where values come first - before everything else. It has not been an easy week. I am deeply grateful for every word of support you have shared with us. This was one of the hardest decisions of my life. We want to be a club of the future that honours its past. That is who we are - and who we will remain. Wisła Kraków 🔵⚪️🔴

Hello Abuja, Today, as we gather to commemorate International Youth Day—a day that acknowledges the crucial role young people play in shaping our world's future—I am honored to stand in solidarity with the youth of our nation, particularly those in the FCT, and from around the world. I also wish to reaffirm our dedication to empowering them for a sustainable future. We stand at a critical juncture in human history, where the decisions we make today will shape the future of our planet. Climate change, inequality, and social injustice threaten our very existence. Yet, I stand before you with hope, inspired by the passion, creativity, and determination of our young people. Youth empowerment is not only a moral imperative but also an economic and social necessity. Investing in our youth means investing in our future. We must provide them with access to quality education, skills training, and opportunities for participation in decision-making processes. As leaders, we must create an enabling environment that fosters innovation, entrepreneurship, and creativity. We must listen to their voices, value their perspectives, and support their initiatives. We must also address the systemic barriers that prevent many young people from reaching their full potential. To the young people of the FCT, I say this: we hear you, we see you, and we believe in you. We will work tirelessly to ensure you have the resources, support, and opportunities you need to thrive. Let us join forces to build a world that is just, equitable, and sustainable for all—a world where young people can grow, flourish, and lead. Happy International Youth Day! -Iretikingibe

20 year-old Jake Sykes currently plays in the 9th tier of English football for Heanor Town - he’s just been offered a 2 month trial at Manchester City.🤯🧤 Sykes was in Sheffield Wednesday’s academy from age 10 to 15 when he was unfortunately released.❌ Following this, he had a couple offers to join other academies but chose to play in non-league - where he has been playing ever since.👏 Props to both Man City for giving him the opportunity, and to Sykes for earning the chance to trial with one of the biggest clubs on the planet.🌍 He will be training alongside Man City’s U18 and U21 sides over the next eight weeks.✅ From non-league step 5 to a trial at Man City - love to see stories like this, we wish Jake the best of luck for his trial.🫡✨

Dear constituents and Nigerians, There is no meaningful development without intentional investment in our youth. Our young people are energetic, talented, and full of potential, and it is our collective responsibility to create platforms that unite, inspire, and empower them. In line with this vision, I recently organized a football competition for the youth across Oshodi-Isolo Constituency II as part of my continuous commitment to youth engagement, talent discovery, and community development. This tournament was not just about football; it was about bringing together young people from different communities under one common purpose: to foster unity, encourage sportsmanship, promote discipline, and strengthen the spirit of togetherness among our people. I was delighted to witness active participation from youths across Ishaga, Ilasamaja, Ajao Estate, Okota, Isolo, Palace Boys, Ejigbo, Oke-Afa, and Ire-Akari, all coming together to compete, connect, and celebrate the power of sports. Football remains a powerful tool for social inclusion and positive engagement. It teaches teamwork, resilience, leadership, discipline, dedication, and mutual respect. Through this competition, our youth had the opportunity to showcase their talents, build friendships across communities, and channel their energy into something productive and inspiring. To ensure this initiative goes beyond recreation, professional scouts were present throughout the tournament to identify exceptional talents. I am pleased to share that selected outstanding players have been penned down for sponsorship opportunities to Spain, where they will be exposed to greater football development opportunities and international experience. The atmosphere throughout the tournament was electrifying, with impressive displays of skill, passion, determination, and competitive excellence. Watching these young talents come alive on the field further reinforces my belief that the future of our constituency is bright when we deliberately invest in our next generation. My commitment to the people of Oshodi-Isolo Constituency II remains unwavering. Beyond infrastructure and social interventions, I will continue to champion programs that directly impact our youth through sports development, educational support, healthcare initiatives, empowerment schemes, and economic opportunities. Together, we are building not just a constituency, but a stronger, more united, and prosperous community where every young person can dream, grow, and succeed. The future belongs to our youth, and I remain committed to creating pathways for them to thrive.

Signed arguably Leeds best player in Gray Signed arguably West Hams best player in Kudus A reject right back for us, playing reguarly for West Ham in KWP who is still one of our own, helping to save their club and would probably start ahead of Porro for us A Manager we sacked after 12 weeks in Nuno because he wasnt good enough leading West Ham to safety Tried to sign Nottingham Forests best player in MGW but messed up by approaching illegally One of the best stadiums in World football which could almost fit the entire capacities of Forest and Leeds stadium combined into ours alone Years and years and years of calling for Levys head for him to then finally leave Gifting West Ham their first win in 10 weeks of Premier League football Losing 6-0 to Nottingham Forest on aggregate this season Losing multiple players to reocurring serious injuries through misdiagnosis and rushing them back with almost every injury requiring surgical repair Our then Manager coming out at the start of the season saying Tottenham will 💯 lose games, but Arsenal wont £13m net spend in January to save the club from a financially catastrophic relegation. The fans could see the red flags of relegation, but Vivienne, Lange and Vinai couldnt Not getting a single penalty all season An entire squad of failing relegation players somehow still being selected for their national sides and playing brilliant whilst away on duty The Sporting Director we'd have rathe kept in Paratici, leaving instead of the other Sporting Director we all despise in Lange We are living and breathing witnessing the worst season in the entire history of Tottenham Hotspur as a football club. I do not understand how weve had the worst luck and the most jarring situations happen this season and what it is that we as fans have done to deserve this. Its as though weve sold our souls by winning the Europa League and now the clubs being banished to the fiery pits of hell to be incinerated into oblivion If we didnt have the injuries and had everyone fit and available, we probably finish top 8 with complete ease I wish the season ended tomorrow and we just get it over and done with and see where we play the rigged fixture against Lincoln on the opening day of the Championship season, home or away

Today Alt Carbon launches Alter Magazine-- a monthly publication bringing to the world new literary writing on science, technology, & progress from South Asia. A quarter of humanity live in the Indian subcontinent, undergoing one of the fastest economic & technological transitions in history. While the subcontinent faces its own existential crisis from the social alleviation of poverty to managing the deluge of climate change, it’s also pioneering the codes underlying new payments infrastructures and the rockets enabling us to become a multi planetary species. The future is happening here. It calls for a platform for India’s scientific and literary communities to birth, debate, and publish new ideas. Alter Magazine is dedicated to providing ink, paper, & screen pixels to these intellectual entrepreneurs imagining alternative futures. Every month, we will publish one long-form, deeply researched, and beautifully designed piece. Each story will shift how readers see our vast and diverse subcontinent, bringing to you contemporary geniuses, cutting-edge ideas, and pathbreaking discoveries. This is a living journal documenting the dreams and dilemmas shaping our subcontinent’s aspirations for progress, the attempt to blend together tradition & technology to undertake development, capturing the region’s herculean effort to undertake advancement not just for itself, but to help write the next chapter of long-term planetary evolution. We believe that a world of abundance is possible. It requires audacious thoughts & imaginative action— led by scientists, reasoned by philosophers, imagined by artists, implemented by technologists, debated by citizens and realised for everyone. Alter Magazine will document the stories & pursuits of all those working towards this shared vision — answering the question posed by one of India’s founding fathers at the stroke of the midnight hour: “The future beckons to us. Whither do we go and what shall be our endeavour?” Watch out for Issue #1: The Secret History of Indian Science Fiction.

Happy $TSLA Earnings Day to everyone who’s held through the highs, the lows, and everything in between. For Tesla investors, this is our World Cup. It’s the one day every quarter when we get to look under the hood and see what the most innovative company in the world has been building. This is when we hear updates on Full Self-Driving, Robotaxi expansion, Optimus, AI, energy storage, manufacturing, and everything else that’s shaping where the company is headed over the next several years. A single earnings call can change how investors think about Tesla’s future far more than any headline or rumor. Whether the stock moons or gets crushed tomorrow, does not matter… that’s short-term. The real value comes from understanding the progress the company is making and whether it’s moving closer to its long-term goals from the lens of the team that’s actually making it happen. The $ will eventually follow. So here’s to everyone who’s stayed convicted through the crazy volatility. Enjoy the day, listen closely, and remember WHY you invested in the first place. Happy Tesla Earnings Day. Let’s see what Tesla has been cooking. 🍷

LLM Artifacts Connected to Andrej Karpathy's LLM Knowledge base idea, I've been building out a fun way to generate dynamic artifacts from these knowledge bases with the goal of discovering and revealing meaningful and deeper insights. LLM KBs are hard to consume for humans, as I think they are more built for agents. So the question is, what form would be useful for humans to take actions and make important decisions? That's what I am trying to figure out with these artifacts. The artifact example shows a pulse on HN discussions around AI-related stories. The insights can go deeper, of course, but this is already super fun and thought-provoking, like some of my favorite podcasts. The format and depth matter a lot. The aggregation skills of agents are outstanding if you tune the prompts and skill carefully. I built this artifact generator in a few minutes through an agent skill, but I feel like there are so many ways that LLM-generated information can be used and consumed. Like generating deeper insights and analysis, and things that are just not feasible for humans today. The generated artifact (including its data and design) serves as reusable templates or can be updated in real-time via auomations, which is something I am also working on. It is truly an insane way to monitor and track information. Better than a newsletter. Better than newspapers. There is something about this that gets me really excited about the future of AI agents for knowledge generation and discovery. Lots of hidden gems everywhere just waiting to be discovered and acted on if the information is presented correctly. This is not perfect. The format, style/prose can be improved, but this is easy to customize via skill. You can personalize it to your liking. I feel like these dynamic artifacts are going to emerge as a strong new medium to stay on the cutting edge of things, both for agents and humans. My target is research, of course. This was just a basic example. Besides animation, I am also targeting other components like voice, videos, images, slides, etc. This space is full of opportunities to explore. Skill for this coming soon.

🚨🗣️New: Luis Suárez reacts to Uruguay’s arrival in the United States for the World Cup, where the squad faced sniffer dogs and rigorous security checks: “I’ve been in football a long time, and I’ve seen tournaments all over the world. But what we’re witnessing here with the USA hosting this World Cup is deeply concerning. Take the Uruguay team arriving — world-class players like Manuel Ugarte, standing there with arms folded, looking utterly bewildered as sniffer dogs go through their bags like they’re common criminals. That image says it all. These are ambassadors of the game, not suspects at the border. This isn’t hospitality; it’s humiliation dressed up as security. You’ve got a Somali referee, one of Africa’s best, denied entry despite a valid visa — a man who dreamed of officiating at the pinnacle of his career, turned away at the airport. African and South American delegations facing extra screenings, visa chaos for fans and officials from qualified nations. This is the ‘land of the free’ rolling out the red carpet? It feels more like a fortress with razor wire. The beautiful game deserves better than being turned into a political football or a paranoid checkpoint. FIFA chased the dollars — and there are billions to be made, no doubt — but they’ve sold the soul of the tournament to a host that treats global football stars and supporters like potential threats. Meanwhile, American taxpayers and host cities are left holding a bill running into hundreds of millions for security and logistics that FIFA largely pockets. Football has always been about unity, passion, and bringing people together across borders. Right now, under this hosting, it’s being strangled by suspicion and overreach. The world is watching these scenes and cringing. If this continues, it risks leaving a bitter taste that lingers far longer than any on-pitch glory. We needed a celebration of the game — not a showcase of division. Something has to change.”

I’m incredibly excited (and very nervous!) about the launch of AMPLIFY. I have always felt enormous gratitude to have been born in Australia but, like many of you, I felt that we weren’t going in the right direction as a country. I started turning my mind to what we might do about the situation and got advice and encouragement from some amazing people. We decided to set up an organisation that is all about community at its core. So what is AMPLIFY? AMPLIFY is a community where Australians get to have their say and make a difference on the most important issues that we face as a country. We are non-partisan and completely independent of any political party. Anyone can become a member of AMPLIFY at no charge. We are seeking to find “uncommon ground” and identify the right solutions to the big issues facing Australia. We will do this by bringing our community together for events in all parts of the country, we will facilitate online conversations, share evidence, talk with experts and come up with solutions. The way in which we will make an impact is by taking our ideas to politicians and Amplifying the voice of our community to spark change. Our goal is to help Australia become a more prosperous, fairer, more cohesive and happier country. I will be serving as founder and Chair of AMPLIFY. My job at Square Peg is not changing in any way. Georgina Harrisson is our CEO and has been doing a remarkable job since joining last October. I am also really proud that my son Joel is an important part of the AMPLIFY team. I am grateful to the amazing group of people who have joined the board; Suzi Carp, Rona-Glynn-McDonald, Kate Jones, Gill McLachlan, Dom Perrottet, Kate Pounder, Mike Schneider and Zara Seidler. If we are going to be successful we need your support. You can sign up at our website and become a member in a few seconds. Please spread the word. Please share this Tweet or, better still, post your own Tweet and share with your audience.

We all miss brute and we wish he would host his spaces and share his takes more frequently especially during these highly dynamic times. Thats why me and my friend took 50+ Twitter Spaces worth of Brute de force, every lesson, every take, every story, every rant and condensed hundreds of thousands of words into their purest form. Then we distilled it down to a bot that lives in our group chat. You summon it like a demon. And it delivers like a mentor. A bot that doesn't just quote Brute. It thinks like him. It talks like him. It even sounds like him, real voice messages in his actual voice. What it does: In your private conversation with him on telegram it coaches like Brute. Not motivational posters. Real, blunt, personalized guidance based on YOUR situation. Tell it your problem, it gives you what Brute would say to your face. It remembers you. Every conversation builds on the last. It knows your goals, your excuses, your patterns. The more you use it, the sharper it gets. It holds you accountable. Slacking? It'll call you out the way Brute would, no sugarcoating. It tells stories. Original stories in Brute's style, pulled from the DNA of every lesson he's ever taught, remixed and tailored to hit where you need it. And it's genuinely funny. High-IQ humor in every response. This isn't a corporate chatbot. It has personality. Think of it as Brute in your pocket. 24/7. Ready to coach, roast, and redirect you on demand. Comment "BRUTE" to get access for FREE.
