A White 15-year-old had his spine broken in two places after a Black player for the opposing team performed a wildly illegal, unprovoked body splash at a junior varsity football game in Michigan this week. “What does race have to do with it?” Everything. It was a bold move, and we believe it carries a significance that goes far beyond Poland. This decision has the potential not only to change football in Poland, but to prove that there are still places in this world where values come first - before everything else. 20 year-old Jake Sykes currently plays in the 9th tier of English football for Heanor Town - he’s just been offered a 2 month trial at Manchester City.🤯🧤 Sykes was in Sheffield Wednesday’s academy from age 10 to 15 when he was unfortunately released.❌ Following this, he had a couple offers to join other academies but chose to play in non-league - where he has been playing ever since.👏 Props to both Man City for giving him the opportunity, and to Sykes for earning the chance to trial with one of the biggest clubs on the planet.🌍 He will be training alongside Man City’s U18 and U21 sides over the next eight weeks.✅ From non-league step 5 to a trial at Man City - love to see stories like this, we wish Jake the best of luck for his trial.🫡✨

Dear constituents and Nigerians, There is no meaningful development without intentional investment in our youth. Our young people are energetic, talented, and full of potential, and it is our collective responsibility to create platforms that unite, inspire, and empower them. In line with this vision, I recently organized a football competition for the youth across Oshodi-Isolo Constituency II as part of my continuous commitment to youth engagement, talent discovery, and community development. This tournament was not just about football; it was about bringing together young people from different communities under one common purpose: to foster unity, encourage sportsmanship, promote discipline, and strengthen the spirit of togetherness among our people. I was delighted to witness active participation from youths across Ishaga, Ilasamaja, Ajao Estate, Okota, Isolo, Palace Boys, Ejigbo, Oke-Afa, and Ire-Akari, all coming together to compete, connect, and celebrate the power of sports. Football remains a powerful tool for social inclusion and positive engagement. It teaches teamwork, resilience, leadership, discipline, dedication, and mutual respect. Through this competition, our youth had the opportunity to showcase their talents, build friendships across communities, and channel their energy into something productive and inspiring. To ensure this initiative goes beyond recreation, professional scouts were present throughout the tournament to identify exceptional talents. I am pleased to share that selected outstanding players have been penned down for sponsorship opportunities to Spain, where they will be exposed to greater football development opportunities and international experience. The atmosphere throughout the tournament was electrifying, with impressive displays of skill, passion, determination, and competitive excellence. Watching these young talents come alive on the field further reinforces my belief that the future of our constituency is bright when we deliberately invest in our next generation. My commitment to the people of Oshodi-Isolo Constituency II remains unwavering. Beyond infrastructure and social interventions, I will continue to champion programs that directly impact our youth through sports development, educational support, healthcare initiatives, empowerment schemes, and economic opportunities. Together, we are building not just a constituency, but a stronger, more united, and prosperous community where every young person can dream, grow, and succeed. Signed arguably Leeds best player in Gray Signed arguably West Hams best player in Kudus A reject right back for us, playing reguarly for West Ham in KWP who is still one of our own, helping to save their club and would probably start ahead of Porro for us A Manager we sacked after 12 weeks in Nuno because he wasnt good enough leading West Ham to safety Tried to sign Nottingham Forests best player in MGW but messed up by approaching illegally One of the best stadiums in World football which could almost fit the entire capacities of Forest and Leeds stadium combined into ours alone Years and years and years of calling for Levys head for him to then finally leave Gifting West Ham their first win in 10 weeks of Premier League football Losing 6-0 to Nottingham Forest on aggregate this season Losing multiple players to reocurring serious injuries through misdiagnosis and rushing them back with almost every injury requiring surgical repair Our then Manager coming out at the start of the season saying Tottenham will 💯 lose games, but Arsenal wont £13m net spend in January to save the club from a financially catastrophic relegation. The fans could see the red flags of relegation, but Vivienne, Lange and Vinai couldnt Not getting a single penalty all season An entire squad of failing relegation players somehow still being selected for their national sides and playing brilliant whilst away on duty The Sporting Director we'd have rathe kept in Paratici, leaving instead of the other Sporting Director we all despise in Lange We are living and breathing witnessing the worst season in the entire history of Tottenham Hotspur as a football club. I do not understand how weve had the worst luck and the most jarring situations happen this season and what it is that we as fans have done to deserve this. Its as though weve sold our souls by winning the Europa League and now the clubs being banished to the fiery pits of hell to be incinerated into oblivion If we didnt have the injuries and had everyone fit and available, we probably finish top 8 with complete ease I wish the season ended tomorrow and we just get it over and done with and see where we play the rigged fixture against Lincoln on the opening day of the Championship season, home or away

Today Alt Carbon launches Alter Magazine-- a monthly publication bringing to the world new literary writing on science, technology, & progress from South Asia. A quarter of humanity live in the Indian subcontinent, undergoing one of the fastest economic & technological transitions in history. While the subcontinent faces its own existential crisis from the social alleviation of poverty to managing the deluge of climate change, it’s also pioneering the codes underlying new payments infrastructures and the rockets enabling us to become a multi planetary species. The future is happening here. It calls for a platform for India’s scientific and literary communities to birth, debate, and publish new ideas. Alter Magazine is dedicated to providing ink, paper, & screen pixels to these intellectual entrepreneurs imagining alternative futures. Every month, we will publish one long-form, deeply researched, and beautifully designed piece. Each story will shift how readers see our vast and diverse subcontinent, bringing to you contemporary geniuses, cutting-edge ideas, and pathbreaking discoveries. This is a living journal documenting the dreams and dilemmas shaping our subcontinent’s aspirations for progress, the attempt to blend together tradition & technology to undertake development, capturing the region’s herculean effort to undertake advancement not just for itself, but to help write the next chapter of long-term planetary evolution. LLM Artifacts Connected to Andrej Karpathy's LLM Knowledge base idea, I've been building out a fun way to generate dynamic artifacts from these knowledge bases with the goal of discovering and revealing meaningful and deeper insights. LLM KBs are hard to consume for humans, as I think they are more built for agents. So the question is, what form would be useful for humans to take actions and make important decisions? That's what I am trying to figure out with these artifacts. The artifact example shows a pulse on HN discussions around AI-related stories. The insights can go deeper, of course, but this is already super fun and thought-provoking, like some of my favorite podcasts. The format and depth matter a lot. The aggregation skills of agents are outstanding if you tune the prompts and skill carefully. I built this artifact generator in a few minutes through an agent skill, but I feel like there are so many ways that LLM-generated information can be used and consumed. Like generating deeper insights and analysis, and things that are just not feasible for humans today. The generated artifact (including its data and design) serves as reusable templates or can be updated in real-time via auomations, which is something I am also working on. It is truly an insane way to monitor and track information. Better than a newsletter. Better than newspapers. There is something about this that gets me really excited about the future of AI agents for knowledge generation and discovery. Lots of hidden gems everywhere just waiting to be discovered and acted on if the information is presented correctly. This is not perfect. The format, style/prose can be improved, but this is easy to customize via skill. You can personalize it to your liking. I feel like these dynamic artifacts are going to emerge as a strong new medium to stay on the cutting edge of things, both for agents and humans. My target is research, of course. This was just a basic example. Besides animation, I am also targeting other components like voice, videos, images, slides, etc. This space is full of opportunities to explore. I’m incredibly excited (and very nervous!) about the launch of AMPLIFY. I have always felt enormous gratitude to have been born in Australia but, like many of you, I felt that we weren’t going in the right direction as a country. I started turning my mind to what we might do about the situation and got advice and encouragement from some amazing people. We decided to set up an organisation that is all about community at its core. So what is AMPLIFY? AMPLIFY is a community where Australians get to have their say and make a difference on the most important issues that we face as a country. We are non-partisan and completely independent of any political party. Anyone can become a member of AMPLIFY at no charge. We are seeking to find “uncommon ground” and identify the right solutions to the big issues facing Australia. We will do this by bringing our community together for events in all parts of the country, we will facilitate online conversations, share evidence, talk with experts and come up with solutions. The way in which we will make an impact is by taking our ideas to politicians and Amplifying the voice of our community to spark change.
