I work with shadcn/ui every day. I design with it, I build with it, and I see a lot of projects built with it. And honestly? Many of them look the same. Or worse - they look broken. Colors that clash. Fonts that don't pair. Dark modes that feel like an afterthought. The components themselves are great. The theming that people or AI make? Not so much. So I built a tool to fix that. I just launched my shadcn theme generator that will allow you to ship beautiful shadcn/ui themes in just 3-4 clicks. What it does: - Creates your entire color palette from 1 color (your hex or any tailwind color) - Works for light and dark theme - Only includes fonts that actually look good in UI - Font pairings I curated myself - Works for any project - landing page, dashboard, store - Has a color contast checker for the entire palette Too lazy? Just use random theme feature Done? Copy and paste the CSS to your global.css file or import to our Figma kit.

Onboarding was extra fun to design and build for this one 🕺 It's a moment of delight but it's also functional. It gives Pica a couple valuable seconds to index all of your fonts* so when you click through everything is sorted, loaded, and instantly available. This is an example of how 'design and engineering are really the same.' *unless you're one of those sickos with like 10k+ fonts. Then unfortunately you'll sit with a spinner for a few more seconds 😅

Agụ Display, a decorative, rounded, sans-serif display typeface featuring a morphing substitution axis that makes the letters dance, Agụ Display brings the ancient mystique of Nsibidi symbols to life with inspiration from a rich West African heritage, extending from Cross River, Nigeria to Cameroon. I can't believe this worked! I saw the new poster for Neuromancer and thought: "What a cool font! Can I recreate it with AI?" I went to ChatGPT using GPT-6 Astra, and I gave the poster and this prompt: "Create a full font similar to the one in the attached poster, and animate a showcase presentation for the font using the Higgsfield plugin" It even did two versions of the font: Regular and Signal Fully usable, perfectly working fonts. It took 13m 19s to make all of this.

Immediate Mode GUI works just fine with full CPU rendering - no GPU needed. Not even any clever region invalidation. Just caching for glyphs and such. CPU usage looks high, but the interaction is as smooth as it can be, and the computer does not feel heavy at all. I can have many such apps open and they all work just as smoothly as if there was only one open. Here in this demo you see several programs: A process monitor that reports CPU usage of running programs A "find in files" GUI that can find find text (and regex) in a project directory very quickly A font viewer that shows a sample string in all system fonts so you can find a suitable font A profile data visualizer that can read .pprof files generated by the Go runtime A disk usage analyzer that recursively calculates directory sizes to help you find out where your disk space has gone All of them are immediate mode GUI programs rendered on the CPU. All of them running at the same time. All of them run very smoothly. All their binary sizes are around 10MB. The GUI framework itself ends up being about 1MB. Proofs in the reply
