Friends, I’d like to seriously discuss a suggestion regarding the Galaxy camera. Please read this patiently. As we all know, HDR and the Scene Optimizer cannot be used in Pro mode. No matter how you adjust the parameters in Pro mode, photos taken under strong light conditions cannot activate HDR or the Scene Optimizer, which is a significant issue. So here is the solution we need: Samsung should add more manual customization options in the default Photo mode (where HDR and the Scene Optimizer are supported). Options such as saturation, contrast, sharpness, and HDR intensity should be available directly in the standard shooting interface. This would allow users to freely create their own shooting style and capture stunning photos without losing the benefits of HDR effects and AI-based optimizations. Currently, the industry leader in mobile photography—vivo—already does this. In vivo’s default Photo mode, users can adjust contrast, saturation, sharpness, and more. Many vivo users love this high level of customization because it lets them fine-tune the look of every shot according to their personal preference. Samsung, at the moment, cannot match this. In the default Photo mode, the only adjustable parameter is exposure, which is far too limited. Therefore, I strongly suggest that Samsung follow vivo’s approach and introduce more customizable options in the default Photo mode. working theory for a new vibe code workflow: 1. create a proof of concept in v0 2. move to github and clone in a local repo 3. use as ref for agent planning 4. create a backend directory to test API plumbing 5. create a frontend directory to prototype iteratively this way you can repeatedly rip apart the frontend for ideation without worrying about breaking changes to the backend. i really like asking for an open ended "job to be done" (i.e. place a bet with a single tap) with 5-10 variations to feel. it's the modern day wireframing. it's still UI slop but i can get ideas in my head out faster and reveal design shortcomings before polishing or worrying about making components functional. and because the v0 prototype gets you to functional ai features and backend integration fastest, you have both a technical and conceptual reference to use in your agentic planning so your v1 is more predictable with minimal effort.

Hotel check in wait times are out of control in Las Vegas, especially at Caesars owned resorts like Horseshoe, Paris, Planet Hollywood and others. Its no secret that these videos put me at odds with the two major corporations who own the majority of the resort hotels on the boulevard but the only way we can improve the Vegas vacation and tourism experience is by talking about current events. This is the first impression so many of our visitors have when stepping off the plane and no one wants to spend their first night in Vegas waiting. While this isn’t always the experience you’ll walk into, it’s happening with more and more frequency. This is not the fault of hotel employees who are working with short staffs, but it is the responsibility of the businesses we spend our money with to create a better experience. Choose to book with properties who prioritize your vacation experience and those who utilize staff and technology to respect your time. Google approached me and asked if I would be down to collab with their research team to create a film for Google I/O. Not only would I have access to Flow, their latest AI filmmaking tool, but I would also be responsible for giving feedback on the product itself. The filmmaker in me was excited for the challenge, but the technologist in me was living out my dream in helping mold a next-generation product for a new era of filmmaking. Experimenting with the tool has been a fun ride. Flow is built on Google Deepmind’s most advanced models - Veo, Imagen, and Gemini, and has allowed me to world-build and create characters I have had in my head for years. I can create consistent characters, scenes, and stories with the ability to reference key ingredients. With Flow, it finally feels like filmmakers are in control. We can iterate freely and actually steer the ship in our creations. I decided to create my short film “Freelancers” using Flow: An action-packed ride following two estranged adopted brothers—one methodical, the other loud and brash—who reminisce on their careers as international hitmen during dinner, until they realize they’ve both been contracted to carry out the same job. 'ROLLS' 🎞🎞🎞 Let’s see what develops. My newest project is inspired by the interesting overlaps of blockchain and photographic film technologies. Both of these systems can be seen as decentralized, immutable time chains- whose value is determined by distributed consensus mechanisms. ROLLS seeks to highlight and amplify these commonalities, while also exploring the nature of trust between artist and collector. ROLLS begins with 10 tokens to be auctioned off in sequence on SuperRare, starting on August 3rd, 2023. Each token is a placeholder that corresponds to one frame on one unshot roll of film. Once all tokens are sold, I'll go out with my Mamiya 7ii Medium Format Film camera and shoot this one roll of film. Once the ROLL is completed, token metadatawill “develop” and will be updated with the final art- high resolution film scans. The mechanics of this project effectively turn my camera shutter button into a "mint" button. Knowing who has collected each frame will add a gravity to the decision to expose that particular frame. The price, provenance, taste and character of each collector will affect my creative process and my decisions about what- and where- to create.
