INTRODUCING: GLOSSOPETRAE!!! ๐Ÿช„๐Ÿ‰๐Ÿ‘…๐Ÿฆˆ๐Ÿฆท๐Ÿช„ Glossopetrae is a procedural xenolinguistic engine for AI that can generate entirely new languages in seconds! The word comes from Greekโ€”glลssa (โ€œtongueโ€) + petra (โ€œstoneโ€)โ€”or โ€œtongue stones.โ€ For centuries, people believed these "stones" were petrified tongues of dragons and used them as talismans or antidotes to...

If thought were independent of language, we wouldnโ€™t have any use for language, because the whole point of language is to convey ideas. So itโ€™s not independent, but itโ€™s not the same thing as language. We know itโ€™s not the same thing for many reasons. One of them is: how would children learn language to begin with if they were incapable of thinking until they had language? The way that language acquisition has to work is that children have some understanding of the world, of the objects around them, of the intentions of the people that they interact with, and they map them onto the sequences of sounds and gestures that they perceive. Also, we know that there are many forms of thought that are not linguistic, such as visual imagery, spatial cognition, and mental maps, all of which are specialties of Professor Tversky, who Iโ€™m sure will enlighten us about those. Even when it comes to the content of language, what we take away after the words have faded is the gist of language, not the words themselves. Within a few seconds after I stop speaking, or a few minutes after youโ€™ve read something, you probably could not reproduce a single sentence verbatim, but hopefully you would come away with the content, the meaning, the gist. And one of the most robust findings in our field, cognitive psychology, is that long-term memory for gist is far more robust than memory for text itself. We know from studies of the brain that there are networks of language in the brain that are not the same as the parts of the brain that light up when people are thinking visually, thinking spatially, or thinking in terms of motion. Again, to go back to one of Professor Tverskyโ€™s specializations, we can imagine tying a shoe; we can imagine diving off a board. We have auditory imageryโ€”a song can run through our headโ€”and there are probably other forms of thought that we donโ€™t even have names for. We also know that we sometimes struggle to put our thoughts into words. We write down a sentence, and we realize, no, thatโ€™s not what I meant, and rewrite it until the sentence comes out right. Did you know there might be a second language on the Book of Mormon gold plates? Most Latter-day Saints have heard that the plates were written in Reformed Egyptian, but not as many people realize that the Book of Mormon started as essentially a different language first. And the relationship between these two languages, I believe, supports the authenticity of the Book of Mormon. What the Nephite language started as, is described in the first chapter of the book of Mormon as "the learning of the Jews and the language of the Egyptians." Scholars have theorized that this first language could contain a mix of Hebrew and Egyptian features. So the Book of Mormon writing may have started out looking something like this, a Judahite variety of Egyptian known as Palestinian Hieratic that is attested in Lehi and Nephiโ€™s day. But languages donโ€™t stay static. After hundreds of years, it seems this earlier Egyptian language evolved into a modified, or Reformed Egyptian, as Moroni calls it at the end of the book. So maybe something like this. Since the writings of Nephi and Mormon both appear to be included on plates that became the Book of Mormon, one would expect their languages to look different. And Martin Harrisโ€™s visit to Professor Charles Anthon may show evidence of this shift. New research reveals Anthon may have seen two different transcripts: one that resembled Egyptianโ€”like at the beginning of the Book of Mormonโ€” and another that was harder to identify, just like weโ€™d expect from an evolving, reformed language. Language changing over time is totally naturalโ€”just look at how different English was a few hundred years ago! So this shift in the Book of Mormonโ€™s language is exactly what weโ€™d expect from an authentic, ancient record. If you want to learn more, read KnoWhy 774 at Scripture Central.

Surprise! This video is created with the help of AI language translator. I waited in line for two weeks to have my one-minute English video translated into Spanish, Japanese, and Mandarin. (One minute is the limit for a free trial ๐Ÿ˜…) Here are my thoughts: Pro: AI language translators have the potential to revolutionize communication across different languages, making it easier for us to connect with people from diverse backgrounds. Con: Itโ€™s important to acknowledge that AI services can sometimes be misleading. Human interaction allows for a deeper understanding of cultures, religions, traditions, and ways of life, which AI may struggle to comprehend. This can result in inaccurate or inappropriate translations. Con: Another drawback of AI language translation is its limited contextual understanding. AI software may struggle to grasp the meaning of words or phrases in specific contexts, leading to inaccuracies in translation. Con: The AI-translated videos are blurred. Conclusion: While AI is undoubtedly helpful, it cannot fully replace human translators or communicators. Humans possess the ability to tell stories, crack jokes, understand signs and symbols, and interpret wise sayings โ€“ things that AI cannot yet replicate. Hindi pa niya maiintindihan yung โ€œlodsโ€ o kaya โ€œmekus mekusโ€ FRFR uwu Even if artificial intelligence has the potential to replace humans in the future, that time has not yet arrived. #ai #ailanguagetranslation #LearnItOnTikTok #artificialintelligence

If somebody working in other states donโ€™t want to speak that states official local language then why go there to make living or do business? Get out and go back to your home state. (Listening to below attach clip will further make more sense) 1. Though normally donโ€™t agree with politicians like Tejasvi Surya or for that matter Raj Thackeray style of divisive politics based on language. But here what wrong had #TejasSurya said? He had not incited people for violence or to hate others. He just said migrants people who had come to Karnataka for a living should speak in local language. What wrong in that ? 2. This is not just a question of people speaking Kannada or Tulu or Marathi,Tamil,Malayalam,Telugu or Bengali and other languages. If somebody is going in other states in our country for job or doing business then they should not only respect local peopleโ€™s culture and languages butthey must also learn and speak that local language. Else people should go to any states in India as tourist and return back to their home state. 3. Why local people in Karnataka,Maharashtra,TamilNadu, West Bengal or any states are upset and angry not because of outsiders migrations but migrant people refusing to learn and speak local language and migrants behave very arrogantly many times, sometimes violently against local people. Even PM #NarendraModi had suggested people to learn 2-3 other states languages apart from our own mother tongue language. 4. Any govt organisation sending people to other states must ensure that their employees learn local language before giving them job profile training or after transfer to other states . Any private sector Businesses wanting to setup industries or offices in any states, must ensure they learn local language of that particular state, employ local people and when they are hiring people from other states then migrant employees are made to learn and speak local languages. If not then better leave that state. 5. 28 States in Bharat ie. India were formed on linguistic ie. Language basis. How can we afford to become one nation with only one language, with one culture, one system which is what people call it #Woke #Wokisme culture? Our SanatanDharma is very vast diverse ocean of many languages, rituals, food habits, different ways of life. We must maintain that diversity as we are not ChineseCommunistsParty ruled one party one Communists-Maoists country. 6. Hearing that few Business people saying they will shift their businesses from #Bengaluru to Pune or some other place as they and their employees are pissed off by local population insistence of speaking in local language and that they donโ€™t want to learn and speak in local language. Why are you there first of all? You have not gone there as tourists for few days but you people found some business/employment opportunities to make a living then better learn and speak local language or go back to your home states. 7. People learn English before going to USA,UK,Australia and other English speaking countries. People learn French,Spanish,Mandarine,Japanese,Arabic languages before or after going to those countries . Else how can they survive and continue to work in these countries? Then why people in our country unwilling and refuse to learn and speak local languages of states where they work and make a living ? 8. Of course we the people of Bharat ie. India are united but without respecting, learning other states languages and instead rather becoming arrogant-violent, how can we preserve, promote and protect our so many wonderful-beautiful languages and such an ancient diverse culture ? ๐Ÿ‘‡

I'm up late with the rest of you building AI agents with the new AI browser from Genspark. We can see where this is all going: a new kind of operating system -- one that is very different than the Microsoft centric way that I've been working for 20 years. There are several things that these new agentic browsers bring to you: 1. They let you change how you browse. With an old browser like Google Chrome, you go to your email, Facebook, or X. 2. With these new browsers, you tell it where to go and what to do for you. 3. It can even build software for you. At the end of this video, I have it building me a little YouTube uploading utility, which is very helpful. 4. They have a ton of "applications" built in. Think of it as a new kind of office suite. Docs. Spreadsheets. Slide decks. And much more. All built with AI, not bolted on the side like with Microsoft's Office. 5. They have AI models built "underneath" so you can work privately and cheaply. Thereโ€™s a lot of new choices you have to make with browsers like this. Iโ€™ve been playing with a bunch of them. Some have better user interfaces than others. Some have different versions, slide components, or applications. The reason I like Genspark is because they ship so fast. Iโ€™ve been watching this company since its very beginnings, and every week they ship new things. Just yesterday, they shipped a new photo editing feature for my iPhone. I upload a photo and then I can just talk to it and edit it with my voice. It's really cool. I try to reward companies that ship at such a fast rate and that are shipping innovation that improves our lives. It's not that I'm going to stop using Google Chrome. My whole life has been there for, I don't know, almost 20 years now. This is a different way of working and it gives me a space to run my AI tasks that's different than Google Chrome. I run them side by side. One doing old stuff, one doing new stuff. I can keep using Google Chrome for my old stuff, like my email and my calendar. And I use GenSpark or one of the new AI browsers to do new AI-centric things. All sorts of new things that these new agentic browsers open up! Have you tried it, or one of the other new ones yet? How has it changed your work? It takes a little time to get used to AI-centric ways of doing things. Pretend your browser is a team of interns. Give them a task, in this case I said "help me upload my videos to YouTube." You might be shocked at what Genspark does to improve your life. I am everytime I use it. Give it a try and let me know what you think! Oh, and I used another little tool to "write" this post. Typeless -- I push a button and talk and it writes. With fewer typos than I usually type in, to boot. It works great with Genspark's new browser too. Download it here:

๐Ÿšจ The blonde hippie chick with dreads is now claiming to be a channeler for the Galactic Federation "These are codes from a Lyran Queen who is a part of the Galatic Federation Council. Sheโ€™s been communicating with me for over 10 years now. I have always been so afraid to share this side of myself it took a lot for me to record this, but have felt so affirmed by the amount of people who also believe and confirm everything Iโ€™ve been told. The truth is coming out faster and faster every day about our world and our history we have been separated from our galactic family for far too long and we are finally reaching a frequency to be able to see/feel/uncover the truth that has been kept hidden from us & remember who we are. I had the most incredible moment with light language a few days ago, where my dear friend and I who have been working with translating stones and working with the magic of light language came to a moment where we realized we can actually activate others light language by speaking light language over them and speaking to their guides to help unlock this for them and wlwhat we experienced was so incredibly beautiful. We watched our other dear friends light language awaken inside of her! It was straight out of a dream and we were both being shown how when one person activates, it lights up thousands around them and Iโ€™m realizing more and more that people are opening up to this realm that I have felt so tapped into for most of my life that made me feel crazy but in reality all Iโ€™m seeing is more people tapping into the same realm and I have personally experienced so many miracles from using light language ranging from healing myself to witnessing other people heal people to healing my family members and shifting matter. Iโ€™m feeling more than ever so grateful and excited to share the deeper side of myself that I kept off social media I mean, obviously Iโ€™ve always been weird, but Iโ€™m even more weird than you guys even know ha ha ha ha ha ha so itโ€™s about to get weirder, but the people who get it get it and the people who donโ€™t will eventually get it but for now Iโ€™m here to help awaken the masses. David Friedberg: โ€œGaming is the future of entertainment, and the future of gaming is AI.โ€ @jason: โ€œFriedberg, what are your thoughts on the gaming industry versus social media versus traditional media?โ€ david friedberg: โ€œOne way to answer that question is to think about how people spend their time.โ€ โ€œDo you spend more minutes on social media, or on traditional media, or playing games? And how is that trending?โ€ โ€œBut importantly, which of those will accrue more benefit, and as a result, drive more hours spent from AI?โ€ โ€œOne way to think about this thesis is that AI is going to ultimately accrue to video game entertainment far more than social media entertainment or traditional content.โ€ โ€œIf you believe in AI, and you believe in the improvements in productivity, generally speaking, people in the industrialized world will generally have more free time on their hands and be able to support themselves with the deflationary effects of AI over time.โ€ โ€œSo if there's more time on people's hands, the general market for entertainment is growing, and if the general market for entertainment is growing, gaming is the future of entertainment, and the future of gaming is AI.โ€ โ€œBecause I think you can create dynamic, more engaging experiences that will benefit from a back and forth sort of relationship than you can with traditional content or with social media.โ€ โ€œIf you're a noob in Fortnite, like you're an early player in Fortnite, you're mostly playing against AI, because what they do is they tune the AI to be easier to beat so that you can slowly develop your skills.โ€ โ€œWhat was happening early was they were seeing a high degree of churn in Fortnite because kids would go on and play for the first time and they'd get paired up with kids that were better than them, and so they would never win, and they would get frustrated and they would quit the game and stop.โ€ โ€œSo the churn rate was high. So AI unlocked higher engagement and higher retention, and I think we're seeing that in a lot of different gaming platforms now.โ€ โ€œSo AI can be used, for example, to maximally increase time, engagement, satisfaction, happiness.โ€

DONโ€™T TELL US HOW TO SPEAK! Just as any two living creatures have a common ancestor in the tree of life, so any two languages have a common tongue from which they ultimately derived. Scientists currently believe that the worldโ€™s 6,000 modern languages, from English to Mandarin, can all be traced back to a โ€˜mother tongueโ€™ - an ancestral language spoken in Africa 50,000 to 70,000 years ago. Differently put: all languages are descended from primordial African! This makes it all the more galling that Africans who visit, work or live outside of the continent are often taunted and laughed at because sometimes they donโ€™t pronounce English words โ€˜properlyโ€™ - even though these words are โ€˜deviationsโ€™ (however far removed) from African-language words. The continentโ€™s turbulent history of colonisation is the reason for the use of European languages in African schools, commerce and governments today. However, something that is overlooked is that most Africans are accustomed to speaking multiple languages, perhaps three or more, throughout the course of a single day. Thatโ€™s one reason Africans pronounce certain words with an accent - they can speak other languages fluently enough for those languages to interfere with their English. In this clip, Anna Mwalagho (@mamaafricaanna) - an African storyteller living in the United States - gives a passionate defence of the uniqueness of African accents, arguing that this diversity is something to celebrate and be proud of. Hit like if you agree. Video Credit: @mamaafricaanna (IG)

I taught my Primary 2 students magnetic fields, and how they help us determine magnetic north and bearings using a compass. At the later half of the class, the students did a small experiment that used a magnet and compass to test what we learned. This is what Nigeria can take away from this: 1. LANGUAGE: Using Chinese to explain magnetic fields was so easy for them to understand, and took less than 4 mins. They never have to worry about understanding the grammar or remembering new vocabulary if another language was used. Language skill is not for everyone, just like technical and creative skills. While you or your son can learn a new language fast, others might be more technically inclined. Nigeria should use native languages to teach primary school children right from the first day in school. With many native languages, autonomous regions with different official languages will be ideal, with an option for international classes which are more English focused. 2. CURRICULUM: Unless we are really oblivious, there is no way a Nigerian primary 6 student can compete with my primary 2 students. These are kids that first came to our school so tiny and sometimes crying, many of them donโ€™t even know how to write their names. A Nigerian taught them most of what they know today in less than 2 years, and because we have a curriculum that is modern, targets what the students really need to know, and its always modified to reflect their realities, they have acquired so much knowledge about how the world around them works like electricity, engines, space, aerodynamics, mechanics and environmental protection in a short time. What they are learning is directly linked to where their economy is headed, so by the time they are in university, they can easily understand advanced practical and theoretical knowledge and be useful to their economic development after graduation. Our curriculums in Nigeria are old and mostly useless to the growth of our economy, so letโ€™s do the needful. Donโ€™t wait for miracles to change them for you. We must demand this change. 3. GROUP WORK: Students are encouraged to work in groups, divide tasks and roles and they mentored to understand their strengths and challenges and resolve conflicts. They learn to work with others who are different from them, giving them a diverse perspective and mindset about working together. Nigeria cannot succeed without all of us uniting and learning to work with each other, irrespective of tribe, religion, region and family background. When we win as individuals, we will still be surrounded by helpless people, but when we win as a society, everyone develops. 4. TEACHERS: Here in China, we are always happy and encouraged to learn new things and ways to teach our students. We are free from worrying about food, shelter and pocket money. We are paid more than enough, so we have enough time and mental space to throughly research information and knowledge, and also design useful and interesting lessons for our students. Nigerian teachers should be paid a minimum of 800k to 1 million Naira per month. Primary school teachers lay down the crucial foundations for our economic growth, development and future. It is one of the most important professions in the country and the compensation and benefits MUST be more than senators and representatives. Liking, commenting and retweeting are nice because they help spread the message, however whatโ€™s more important is us uniting as Nigerians with our common interest to ensure that our needs are addressed.

David Friedberg: The AI Jobs Panic Is a Crock of Sh*t Why? The revenue potential outweighs the cost savings by 100x. โ€œThere is no job loss with AI. I've said it a thousand times, and I will say it again, and again, and again. What I see on the ground, and what I've seen at dozens of companies, including my company that I run, there are two sides to a business. There is revenue and thereโ€™s costs. On the cost side of the equation, AI can be used to reduce humans doing things that cost money, to some extent. The effect there, I would argue, is nominal. The real opportunity with AI is on the revenue side, where suddenly one engineer can do 100x or 1000x what they used to be able to do, meaning you can make more products at your company, whether those are agricultural seed products, or boats and ships, or software for companies, or clothing, or what have you. Because of AI, everyone has the ability to expand their revenue base to create more products, and that is the foundation of good economic prosperity. It is called productivity. We can grow productivity in this country with AI. So where I see AI being used is on the revenue side 100x more than the cost side. And in that equation, people are hiring like crazy. We cannot hire enough people. I just had a review meeting with my product and engineering team two days ago, and they're like, โ€˜We want to add an extra 15 headcount to our engineering squads because we have all this opportunity to do stuff that we couldn't otherwise do.โ€™ So we are going to hire more people. And to Sacks' point, we are seeing that show up in the jobs numbers. The idea that AI is going to destroy jobs is a Luddite idea that is being disproven every single day, and I see it on the ground. It is only a matter of time before people wake up to this and they realize that this narrative that they've all been sold is a crock of sh*t.โ€

English is literally the hottest programming language. It's absolutely crazy that you can build a complete product in plain English. I'm using Rocket in this video. This is a new app. You type what you want, and Rocket builds it for you. This is great if you want to build: โ€ข A landing page โ€ข A complete web application โ€ข A mobile app โ€ข A dashboard to showcase something โ€ข An internal tool to automate anything This is another example of how developers should become comfortable being copilots for AI agents (instead of using AI as a copilot). Some of the things I like about Rocket: 1. One-click deploy to Netlify (I use Netlify for all my projects) 2. GitHub integration 3. Supabase integration for your backend 4. Built-in support for Stripe 5. Built-in support for Resend 6. Google Analytics integration 7. Smart AI search with Perplexity 8. You can also integrate with GPT models, Gemini, and Claude 9. You can make visual edits by describing what you want 10. You can upload images and have Rocket implement them Best of all are the templates: They have a large library of templates that will help you get started. These templates will help you save money (because of fewer tokens), and you can modify them as you see fit. I read on the site that you can also bring a Figma file and turn it into an app, but I didn't test that feature. By the way, you can start using it for free. Here is the link: Thanks to the Rocket team for their support and for collaborating with me on this post.

Here are my solutions for the border. Keep in mind that I realize there is no exact science here and no fool-proof solution. - Immigration must be opened up. More people should be able to come here legally, seek work here, and raise children here. - No we donโ€™t need a wall from sea to shining sea. We do need more fencing/wall built though in areas where it makes sense. - The walls need to be much more difficult to climb over and tunnel under, and they must be equipped with modern technology and reinforced with border agents every 1/2 mile or so where feasible. - Fencing should extend deep into the ground where possible. Every inch of wall should be monitored with cameras mounted in a way that makes them impossible to be damaged. No fence is fool-proof but they can definitely be better than what Trump built and what weโ€™ve been building for years. - In areas where there is no fencing โ€” most notably in areas where the land is owned by Americans and around obstacles like the Rio Grande, we should exponentially hire additional border agents and utilize more cameras and more video. We should work with Mexico to to create a neutral zone currently in Mexico to allow US agents to patrol as well, or make sure that Mexico is patrolling those areas up to our standards. - Every single person looking to come into America should be required to show some sort of legitimate reason to seek asylum before even being granted access. If they donโ€™t have one that can be shown or proven immediately, there needs to be a process for them to do so within their own country and within Mexico, but with a caveat: The US should man special safe asylum centers in various Central and South American countries, as well as in Mexico. American citizens should run these centers, and asylum judges should be stationed there to expedite the process. The asylum seekers should be fed and cared for during the time they are there. Massive amounts of asylum judges and border agents need to be hired. I canโ€™t reiterate this enough. We need a lot of funding and training for this. - Every person seeking asylum should be recorded through a biometric system so that repeated attempts can quickly and easily be identified. Thoughts?

Today, I taught my kids principle of the combustion engine focused on the crank shaft. We started by having them in groups brainstorm how they believe an engine works, then I simplified it for them, and at the end, have them create small models using toys. First, these are my kids, they are in primary 2 (8 years old). I started with them 2 years ago when they were 6 years old and most of them couldnโ€™t even write their names. We can also do this in Nigeria: 1. Kids are all born the same, but the right nutrition at early age helps cognitive development. Letโ€™s build stable local industries that focus on production of children meals that are rich in proteins and vitamins that are good for the childrenโ€™s brain development. Too much pap and two which are carbohydrates rich arenโ€™t sufficient, and can affect academic performance of children, whom eventually grow up to be the politicians that think giving poor people giveaways in comment sections is helping the economy. 2. Primary education is way too important to be treated as political privilege or achievement. All the countries that invested in their children such as Japan, China, US, Singapore, Finland have far superior economies and quality of life compared to the countries that didnโ€™t. Teachers are not just civil servants, they are looked at as heroes, soldiers, critical individuals that make or break a society. They earn well, they are taken cared of and they are some of the most intelligent and creative people in a country. A keke driver knows how important his Keke is so he can make money, so he takes care of it. Donโ€™t take care of primary school teachers, you should prepare for poverty and insecurity. Playing the blame game on political parties or candidates and insulting each other on the internet only takes our minds away from what is important. Letโ€™s put aside political, religious, ethnic and sentimental differences and prepare a future for our children and grandchildren so they wouldnโ€™t be slaves to my students in the future. The Nigerian education system and curriculum right now is as good as nothing. 3. Skills are part of education/degree: It is unfortunate that a former student who had so many carryovers in mathematics (which is the backbone of computer science) and barely graduated and purchased highest education certificates is confusing and discouraging people who are putting their sweat and time to get a difficult, expensive and ancient degrees in Nigeria. Considering how he failed many courses so many times, itโ€™s not surprising that he is taking a shot at university education. Well, skills are part of degrees in normal and functioning universities and education systems with updated curriculums that fits its economy. In fact, those skills start from primary school, and I believe the professor should advocate for updated curriculums that include more modern skills, practicals, field trips, work attachments that will jumpstart Nigeriaโ€™s failing economy not destroy the little that is left in degrees and the hope millions of poor citizens have for them. 4. Native language is the way to go: Yes Nigeria has many languages, so we can use multiple official local languages in different regions to educate and run the government. English can be an optional subject in school which parents can choose. Sacrifice has to be made in order to develop, so some smaller ethnic groups that have few speakers should adopt one of the major languages in Nigeria as a secondary language to be used at home, and that would the language to use at school. Controversial? Yes, but the advantages far outweigh the disadvantages. The past is the past, we can only learn from it.
