A woman and her husband went to the store to get an Apple gift card for $100. After they got it, they had tried to use it for their iPhone. The opened the package and got the card out, the last few digits on the back of the card are missing and she couldn’t use it. She goes back to the store and speaks to customer service about a refund. Customer service claims they can’t do anything about it because there are no refunds on gift cards and they need to call the company the card is for. She then pulls a few of the same cards off of the display and opens them in front of customer service and proves to them that they all have the same issue. This does look like the card was manufactured defectively and the customer service rep acknowledged it, but why are they leaving it on the shelf for other people to buy it and be ripped off?

Vacant rooms and autism therapy centers with no children present were among the findings as the reporters examined concerns raised by tipsters about Medicaid-funded programs. No children were observed at any of the autism centers visited. Only a few workers and a small number of elderly women were seen at the adult day care facilities. Many of the locations seemed empty. At one location, a luxury sedan circled the Alpha News reporters in the parking lot. Shortly afterward, police were called to report the journalists.

A recent video by conservative YouTuber Nick Shirley alleged nearly a dozen day care centers in Minnesota that are receiving public funds are not actually providing any service. After the video went viral, DHS Secretary Kristi Noem announced a "massive investigation on childcare and other rampant fraud" in the state. CBS News conducted its own analysis of nearly a dozen day care centers mentioned by Shirley: all but two have active licenses, according to state records, and all active locations were visited by state regulators within the last six months. CBS News' review also found dozens of citations related to safety, cleanliness, equipment, and staff training, among other violations, but there was no recorded evidence of fraud.

It’s a service paid for with your tax dollars. Social adult daycares provide meals, care, social activities and other assistance to seniors and people with disabilities. CBS News has spent weeks investigating these centers across New York – and now we’ve learned, the feds are also asking questions about possible fraudulent activity. We went to Flushing, Queens, where our reporting found the nation's densest cluster of these facilities: 64 social adult day care centers within a one-mile radius. Flushing is also home to one of New York City's largest senior populations. Our analysis found an unusual pattern. From 2018 to 2024, the neighborhood's Medicaid-eligible senior population grew about 20% — in line with the national trend. It’s Day 2 at Jispa, and we’re now heading towards Leh Ladakh, attempting something remarkable taking the Electric G-Wagon all the way to Leh. If we make it, this could be the first-ever G-Wagon to reach Ladakh on electric power alone. Overnight, we managed to charge the battery using a regular slow charger painfully slow at 1% per hour, thanks to low voltage and no fast chargers available on this route. Now, we’ve got to cover 350 km on a single charge. Alongside the G-Wagon, the EQS is also part of this electric adventure. With Mr. Kabir Waraich behind the wheel, a true champion, we’re here to push the limits and see what these electric machines are truly capable of!
