⚽️ Cutback Small Sided Game 🗣️ This is a practice from drill library. This small-sided game is played with 4v4 teams and 4 neutral players positioned at the 4 corners of the grid, known as the 'cutback' zones. The objective is to score 1 goal to win the game. After each goal, the losing team will switch with the neutral players, ensuring that both teams get equal opportunities in different roles. The neutral players are restricted to 1 touch, and the team in possession is encouraged to use them to create goal-scoring chances through quick cutbacks, crosses, or switching the play. The attacking team should aim to exploit the neutral zones to stretch the defense, pull defenders out of position, and open up space for a final delivery into the box. The defenders will need to be aware of their positioning and try to prevent passes into the neutral zones by maintaining close coverage on their opponents.

This is what I’m talking about. This isn’t to highlight Bentancur. It’s how 90% of teams and players behave for I’d say 70% of the game. But what are we trying to achieve here? The best thing that can happen from any phase of play, is to score a goal. So that’s the overall objective. To do that, the ball at some stage has to go behind every single opposition player and space has to be exploited whether it’s big or small. But Bentancur here is waiting. Waiting for players to move. Waiting for opposition to move. But why would Newcastle move? They don’t need to break from their shape. But imagine what would happen if Bentancur travelled with the ball into those open spaces. Newcastle and spurs players aren’t just going to watch, it’s going to instigate a chain reaction of movement from both sides. And that will in turn break up shapes which creates gaps. Then it’s if you are confident and able to exploit. But just waiting doesn’t achieve it. Imagine the disruption you will cause if both the ball player, and off ball players look to provoke the opposition as opposed to rigidly stand in shape. It’s just logical. If you stay still. Why does the opposition need to move? So what pictures are changing? What gaps are you opening? What gaps are you exploiting? So how do you expect to score when to score a goal, gaps have to be exploited? It’s why when people say “it’s harder in modern football, there’s less space”. No there isn’t. There’s always space. You’re just seeing players less willing to provoke it and attack it.

What’s your attitude when you get a windy day on the course? One of the best things about playing links golf is you get used to the wind. You go from fearing it to craving it. (When the course is made for wind.) We had a super windy day at Kennemer in Holland. Had 180 yards straight into the breeze on 9, went with a dead hand 7 wood and struck gold. A great shot is always satisfying. But the more variables you take on, the more satisfying it is. Learning to treat wind as an opportunity to really play golf completely changes your enjoyment level.

The lesson here for the next generation in journalism; Reporting the NPFL & domestic football/sports can take you globally, don't allow people to condition your mindset wrongly. If your dream is to travel around the world and cover international tournaments, trust me you will make it. If you have a directive that is strictly to monetize your content/job without traveling for tournaments, trust me you will achieve it. Anything you dream of about your journey in journalism, domestic content will take you there. Yes, sports journalism especially reporting domestic football/sports is a struggle, most times the pace is slow, very slow, but with consistency and hard work, you will get to the top of your dreams. Think about collaboration, make friends and expand your reach. Don’t set a mindset of competition, content and reportage is wide and the space is wide enough to accommodate all of us. Be yourself best and not to your colleagues. Journalism rolls like Football, those 5,000 meters ahead of you today, trust me you will catch up one day. This is the reason why collaboration with your colleagues is the pathway of sustainability. Also, as a believer of Christ, I do preach to people and colleagues to be prayerful, ask God to crown their work, and ask Him for grace and mercy. Divine blessing is from God and not from humans. Training glutes still doesn’t get the love it should from men. Aesthetically, sure, your focus will be more on the V taper frame, or strong arms. Open Letter to MP Iqbal Mohamed, I recently watched your video where you stated: “Let the West… let the enemies not divide us.” Since you are a sitting Member of the British Parliament, this raises some serious questions that demand clarification: 1. If the West is your “enemy,” then what exactly are you doing representing a British constituency in the UK Parliament – which sits in the heart of the West, in London? You cannot call the very nation you serve an enemy while holding public office within it. 2. Do you genuinely feel safe living among these “enemies” in the UK? If you truly believe this country and its people are hostile, then standing for political office here contradicts your own statement. 3. Are you stepping back from the oath you took – in the name of Allah – to bear true faith and allegiance to His Majesty King Charles and to uphold the laws and values of the United Kingdom? Your words appear fundamentally at odds with the responsibilities and loyalty required of a British MP. 4. How do you justify using taxpayer-funded British institutions, resources, and a parliamentary salary while simultaneously portraying the West as an enemy? It raises questions about integrity and the proper use of public office. 5. When you say “the West,” are you including your own voters in Dewsbury & Batley – the people who trusted you with their mandate? Do you also view them as part of this so-called enemy? 6. Open Letter to MP Iqbal Mohamed, I recently watched your video where you stated: “Let the West… let the enemies not divide us.” Since you are a sitting Member of the British Parliament, this raises some serious questions that demand clarification: 1. If the West is your “enemy,” then what exactly are you doing representing a British constituency in the UK Parliament – which sits in the heart of the West, in London? You cannot call the very nation you serve an enemy while holding public office within it. 2. Do you genuinely feel safe living among these “enemies” in the UK? If you truly believe this country and its people are hostile, then standing for political office here contradicts your own statement. 3. Are you stepping back from the oath you took – in the name of Allah – to bear true faith and allegiance to His Majesty King Charles and to uphold the laws and values of the United Kingdom? Your words appear fundamentally at odds with the responsibilities and loyalty required of a British MP. 4. AFCON 2025 🇲🇦 You cant blame a country for fans failing to turn out for every match in an AFCON tournament. The problem in Africa is that we are poor in mentality and wealth. Our friends in Europe plan to watch such games a year in advance and they travel to watch them Where it is hosted. For them, things like going on vacation and enjoying recreational activities like football ⚽️ is part of life. Fans from Africa failing to travel for AFCON is not a Moroccan 🇲🇦 problem. It’s an issue with lack of patronage for African football from we Africans. The onus lies with football fans in Africa like yourself and myself to play your own part by buying tickets and going to support your team at live games at AFCON. This is how it is done in other continents, it’s not rocket science. CAF also has to come up with promotional strategies to increase awareness and fan participation across Africa. Even if AFCON was held in Nigeria 🇳🇬 you don't expect all fans to go and watch Benin play Angola fans from those countries must also come and support their teams its their duty .
