This is the closest open-source project to Grok Bot that I’ve seen so far. I’ve contributed two PRs to it before. The lack of iOS mobile support once forced me to uninstall it, but now it’s time to fire it up again!

I love how everyone is building their own version of agent, good more tools for me haha

It's come a long way guys!

The smart part is what it doesn't add: bots run on the claude and codex CLIs already on your Mac, with your existing logins. One local server on 127.0.0.1, transcripts and keys stay in ~/.openmausbot. No new account, no proxy.

That’s pretty cool

The self-hostable part is crazy, love it!

@milindlabs When the mobile app

I’ve been building with OMB and have a really great set of custom teams. I’ve tweaked it to run only my own local models and also my own agent computer (not the cloud sub 😏). Thanks for building this. It is a great repo with lots of exciting opportunity

great work guys

Also does it use asynchronous handoffs or messaging between bots?

yes

Awesome, going to try this out!

Where is THE APP FOR IOS

seems far superior to grok bot at least in terms of config flexibility. Testing it now.. :)

the interesting part is whether your bots keep their history when you swap the model underneath them.

They do that’s the point

This looks interesting

How exactly does the “works with any harness” part work? Is it like injecting it with prompts or does the harness need an cli? I don’t really understand could you please explain it to me?

Mastch

I tried this out.. OOF great idea tho

self-hostable with your own keys is the right architecture, but honestly computer use is where these agent teams quietly fall apart. been building an agent runtime myself and desktop control is always the flakiest layer - native apps throw modal dialogs and file pickers that stall the whole loop, and a screenshot-only policy burns tokens re-deriving coordinates every step. curious how you sandbox the desktop access piece, that's the part most open repos hand-wave past

a whole team of self-hostable ai agents. my approve-button finger just filed for overtime. anyway

What’s the point of this when there’s Hermes and OpenClaw?

what happens to what they learn between runs? self-hosted teams are the case where shared memory matters most and it's usually the piece that gets left for later

How is it different from OpenBot?

I have not tried OpenBot; we launched 2 hours after grok bot have no idea about OpenBot to comment.

Kid you not, I forked this project, asked Astra to pull the assets from the Linux version of Grok Bot and then iterate until the behaviors, animations, features, and menus all matched Grok Bot identically. It did it. OpenMausBot under the hood allowed me to choose any model provider and any model. Fun stuff. But the way to go is simple. Grok Bot for chief of staff + herdr (connect all remote instances) ask Grok Bot to learn the herdr commands and now I have hundreds of agents that all respond to Grok Bot. Grok Bot is going to be hard to beat.

The moment an AI gets routines, it stops being a demo and starts quietly running the household 😄

permission broker per bot is the part that actually matters. curious if allow/deny stays human when the team is 8 agents deep or it quietly flips to auto

Is it some short of hype suddenly Old Released project being re-announced, without updating the infrastructure? I tried that month ago, wont call it alternative of MUSE. no way not even close, also not good as grokbot

They’re calling this piggyback the most Indian thing ever

is it safe to use with existing claude ? claude documentation usually says 3rd party uses may lead to account ban. Am a bit skeptical. can anyone confirm this ?

Yes, it is safe. It's not a third-party thing; you are basically using Claude CLI inside OpenMausBot

the focus on team collaboration with a real desktop could change workflows significantly

@BuildwithOmkarr can we add our existing subscriptions from chatgpt/claude/grok into this? Or the APIs?

works with your subscriptions

Where is the link for Android mobile?

In our discord community

Does this have a mobile app and can we use our Claude , grok , codex subs ?

yes, live on app store.

Omarchy supported?
