open-slide is the missing runtime between 𝚖𝚊𝚔𝚎 𝚖𝚎 𝚜𝚕𝚒𝚍𝚎𝚜 𝚊𝚋𝚘𝚞𝚝 𝚇 and a presentable deck. Every slide is a react component on a 1920×1080 canvas. Ships with built-in agent skills: › /create-slide - drafts a full deck from a one-line prompt › /apply-comments - applies all your in-browser feedback in one shot Works with Claude Code, Cursor, Codex - any coding agent.

In-browser inspector Click any element → leave a comment like 𝚖𝚊𝚔𝚎 𝚝𝚑𝚒𝚜 𝚛𝚎𝚍 or 𝚜𝚑𝚛𝚒𝚗𝚔 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚑𝚎𝚊𝚍𝚕𝚒𝚗𝚎 → run /apply-comments → the agent applies every edit. No more copy-pasting feedback into chat.

More things it handles so your agent doesn’t have to: › Presenter mode with speaker notes + timer › Export to static HTML & PDF › Built-in assets manager with svgl logo search › One-click deploy to Vercel / Cloudflare / Netlify

Same play as hyperframes or remotion and I like it! Keep up the good work man! Should I add this as a feature to

Sure! appreciate it 🙏🏻

You can check out more demo slides here 👇

nice, will give it a shot, tried 2 days ago

🤍

Great Work! @1weiho Here is a visual map + narrated walkthrough of open-slide

From prompt to polished slides in one go, this is the kind of tool that just quietly saves hours every week

Been waiting for something that treats slides like code. The /create-slide aesthetic picker is next-level thoughtful.

glad you like it, looking forward to hearing your feedback!

Great idea. I've tried to use the yaml to slides tools created pre ai, with limited success. The best I've managed recently is just having basic HTML pages with inline left and right navigation. Styling is still challenging, I feel like we need basic design guardrails. Anyway, I'll definitely try this out, thanks

looking forward to hearing your feedback!

Love it!!! I built a similar approach of agent first for spreadsheets... Couldn't make such a clean solution as yours though, sheets need a runtime I guess. Congrats!

Thank you! 🤍 looking forward to you finding a solution for the spreadsheet!

Looks cool! But unless it goes to a proper pptx - it’s not very useful

Working on it!

@Teknium should this be in Hermes ? Anything like this already ?

Thank you so much for sharing this with us all!

🤍

Smart approach - slides as React code means version control, git diff on every change, and your agent can actually reason about the structure. Gamma and Canva give you pretty output you can’t really own. This gives you a codebase

Thanks! 🤍

actually useful. Been burned too many times by "AI-generated" decks that are just bullet soup with gradients. Gonna spin this up on a client proposal and see if the output is actually presentable.

Looking forward to hearing your feedback!

Hohiho. 🤣🤣🤣 i will use this to make putch deck for

Click an element, leave a comment, agent applies the edit. No copy-pasting feedback into chat. That detail alone changes how you think about human-agent collaboration on visual output.

这个作品太棒了👏

太感谢了🙏🏻

Right after I wrestle with office cli and gws CLI for weeks

@codevibesmatter 😂😂😂

Really cool, love how easy to use it is! Will you be adding support for export to PPTX?

Working on it!!

Looking forward to it!

Cool! I used @Slidevjs which makes you write Markdown, but I guess using React makes it more flexible and powerful

awesome work @1weiho - sent you a DM!

Replied! 🫡

It straight up doesnt work on windows, tried to get it to work, got 3 different errors and just deleted

Hi 👋 sorry I don’t have a windows device to test on. could you briefly describe the error you’re seeing?

Its not taking into account the way slashes and backslashes work in Windows so it just doesnt compile: [plugin:vite:import-analysis] Failed to resolve import "/@fsC:/Users/User/slides/slides/getting-started/index.tsx" from "virtual:open-slide/slides". Does the file exist?

Super neat

🤍

Can it follow existing themes or create one and keep using that?

Yes!

🔥

🤍

bro this is going to be the craziest shit

🤍

@banhosdev

Amazing, bro! The slide generation is super mind-blowing. However, the background music is haunting me.

Sorry for the music 😂

hehe its very good music .🙂

agent 给 agent 造工具,链条总得从某处开始。

slides are so 2025, they are boring

这个好像也可以结合到OpenDesign里面去。😄 @tuturetom

cool stuff - how can i config to consistently produce my on brand template? thanks

open-slide has a theme concept! You can use the built-in /𝚌𝚛𝚎𝚊𝚝𝚎-𝚝𝚑𝚎𝚖𝚎 skill to set up a style. Future slide decks will follow that style by default.

thanks do i just refer to the file i put in the folder as ref? so far, what are the best performing examples to feed it to have the more precise output, or generate a more accurate theme/skill? cool stuff you're building man!

Thanks! 🙏🏻 Yeah, when you use /𝚌𝚛𝚎𝚊𝚝𝚎-𝚜𝚕𝚒𝚍𝚎 and mention that theme md file, you’ll usually get a super consistent look in the output. From my tests so far, the consistency’s been pretty high!

but what if i already have a template, and if i use create theme, do i refer my existing template (eg pptx file), or do i need to first generate a slide with /create-slide, and then use that as the 'template' per se? not sure if my Q is clear haha basically i want to turn my current templates into a some kind of design.md but for slide, and then just generate the same set over and over haaa thanks!

great question! both approaches work! you can either: - feed your existing template (e.g. a .pptx file) directly into /create-theme, or - first generate a slide with /create-slide, then reference that as the source for /create-theme either way, it’ll extract the design patterns and produce a theme you can reuse to generate consistent decks over and over. one thing to note though, if you go the .pptx route, it depends on whether the agent you’re using can read/parse .pptx files. If it can, you’re good to go! 🤍

thank so much man for the detailed response so far any tricks/tips/prompts on turning existing template into more accurate theme md? also, new to this game (using opencode now), any good pptx file reading/parsing agent/skill u would recommend? thanks

I haven’t tried this much yet, but right now I feel Anthropic’s PPTX is super promising!

Great idea! Will definitely try out

Thanks! 🫡🤍

Love it, really good to use. 🐐

Thanks 🤍
