Perplexity Computer is massively multi-model. Computer orchestrates models to run agents in parallel, leveraging Opus to match each task to the model best suited for it. In total, Computer can route work across 19 different models.

Perplexity Computer is what a personal computer in 2026 should be. It’s personal to you, remembers your past work, and is secure by default. Hundreds of connectors, persistent memory, files, and web access, all built on top of Perplexity infrastructure.

Perplexity Computer uses usage‑based pricing with optional sub‑agent model selection and spending caps. Choose different models for different sub‑agent tasks and control token spend. Max users get 10,000 credits per month included with their subscription. We’re also giving a one‑time bonus of 20,000 extra credits, granted at launch for existing users and at signup for new users, that expires 30 days after it’s granted.

Bit wild that there were almost 7 years between The Terminator and T2, and we all thought that was ‘fast progress.’ At the speed AI is moving, we should be at Judgment Day by the end of the month.

just updated my resume to 'certified forklift operator' because what even is the point of being a software engineer anymore 😭

I think this is the inevitable direction for AI, but execution is everything. In my experience building products, the gap between "can do everything" and "does everything well" is massive. The real test isn't whether it works in a demo, it's whether founders trust it with critical decisions when their business is on the line. Tools are only as good as the judgment behind them.

You guys are doing everything except building your own model. Now watch claude or gemini will replicate this feature in like 2 weeks and eat your market.

"research, design, code, deploy, and manage any project end-to-end" = one extremely confident hallucination per step, delivered fast

Was just wondering where perplexity went and they dropped this every AI company is racing to the same destination: one system that does everything. perplexity just shipped “Computer.” claude has computer use. openai has operator. the wrapper is collapsing. who this kills. not coders. not analysts. not designers. It is the middlemen who stitched those pieces together. project managers, junior consultants, agencies charging $200/hr to coordinate. when one AI can research, build, deploy, and monitor end to end, the person with taste and context becomes the entire team. i built a full stock screener with zero coding background. that used to be a $50k consulting project. financial analysis is next. pull filings, model scenarios, stress test assumptions, generate the deck. a solo operator with this stack outputs what a 4 person team did last year. the bull case isn’t “AI helps everyone.” it’s that “AI makes one sharp person dangerous.“

This is the shift most developers are missing: > Bottleneck was never the model. It was always the orchestration layer. > Perplexity Computer routes to Opus 4.6 for deep reasoning, Gemini for research, Grok for speed. > Companies that figure out intelligent model routing first won't just build better products they'll build cheaper ones too. That's the real competitive advantage here.

Complete AI orchestration is the biggest productivity leap since the internet. With research, coding, and deployment unified, the only limit left is human imagination. Companies adopting this will multiply their output 100x and drastically lower costs.

🚨 Perplexity just dropped Perplexity Computer — their cloud-based OpenClaw killer — literally days after Google banned tons of OpenClaw users for hammering Gemini tokens via OAuth (219k📷19 models in parallel: Claude Opus 4.6 for reasoning, Gemini for research + 17 others. Full end-to-end autonomy: research NVIDIA earnings → code/deploy web apps → persistent memory + Slack/GitHub integration. All in-browser, no local drama, no sudden bans.OpenClaw = local power (RIP for many). Perplexity Computer = cloud multi-model beast, $200/mo Max tier only for now. Timing is suspiciously perfect 📷 #AI #AgenticAI

Finally, is this the new leap for perplexity in AI race? Just was wondering with all X posts on whether perplexity has fallen off. Who knew you guys were cooking in silence. Congrats on coming back stronger and it is cool to see you guys back in the game!!!
