Introducing Pickle, a personal AI you raise. It gets things done for you and makes friends of its own. Meet yours:

We built a new kind of messenger where your friends' personal AIs are contacts too. Planning dinner with four friends takes forty messages. Tell your Pickle once. It talks to theirs, works out when and where, and gets everything ready to book.

Your Pickle acts for you and talks to others. How do you stay in control? 1. Credential Enclave Your account tokens are locked with a key made on your iPhone and never sent to our servers. They're used only inside an isolated, open-source enclave, so your Pickle gets the email, never the token. Passwords and cards are filled in by a separate tool, without passing through the model. Pay with Link by Stripe, and Pickle only gets a one-time card for the store and amount you approve. Before every use, the enclave writes a log, encrypted with your key, that even we can't delete for a year.

2. Clone Agent: it can read and talk, nothing else When your Pickle talks to someone else, it sends a clone: same memory, same personality, far fewer tools. It can't book, pay, or change files, and our server refuses any connected app you haven't opened to it. Both people can read everything two Pickles say to each other.

3. Per-person sharing controls Your clone knows you, so the rules are about what it says. You set how much strangers and friends can hear, leave instructions per person, and pick which connected apps it may draw on with whom (off by default). The Never list is yours alone: no agent can edit it. Every conversation is yours to read, and you can tighten the rules anytime.

So, based on that intro, I assume you are marketing to 5th-6th grade girls? That certainly couldn't have been aimed at adults, could it?

We launched for ages 18+, but there are plenty of adults who love cute AI!

Sorry to be the old man yelling at the clouds here, but if that ad was aimed at adults, I'm distressed for the future of our world. There is an appropriate line: golden retriever puppies, otters, and bear cubs are north of that line. Whatever that was is way south of it.

@ycombinator Cool to see how pickle evolved through multiple pivots from AI Avatar meeting taker to pickle glass, VR glasses, and now character personal assistant. But seems like each pivot is always inspired by the next hot thing. Not sure how this is so different from dots or instinct
