download more storage today: can't imagine our team working without it anymore.

works great for: - ai-native companies looking to build workflows with both humans and agents in a shared file system - indie devs running multiple computers and transferring files between - media teams and creators losing time during file handoffs - anyone running out of storage

and if you’re curious, here’s the vlog i edited on Space in this demo:

You had me sold on editing videos directly from your own "space". That's impressive - going to have to try it out. Congrats on the release.

Have you guys announced pricing for this yet? I didn't see anything on the webpage but may have missed it.

This could make file sharing and collaboration so much simpler, especially for media-heavy teams.

I really want to try this because having all my files instantly available without taking up local disk space sounds amazing! But $50/month feels steep for a personal user, especially when I don’t need anywhere near 1TB. Why not offer a smaller personal tier? I’d happily pay $10–20/month for less storage. It made me install and uninstall. I’m not sure who would pay $50 per month?

appreciate the feedback, just sent you a dm to learn more about your use case. we’ve noticed that video teams typically use 1tb+ pretty quickly but understand that there are people with smaller files as well!

"What Dropbox was supposed to be" — better UX, same centralized architecture underneath. One company. One set of servers. One government jurisdiction. The real next step isn't a better Dropbox. It's storage where no single operator controls access. #StorX #DePIN #BuiltonXDC

A good thing about this app would be to give access to claude or codex maybe @NousResearch hermes that would be great!

Jason Zhao's profile picture

@NousResearch already works, i use claude code within Space. edited some motion graphics videos in there all with my agent.

changes the way you interact with cloud storage!

@Scobleizer The interesting part is making cloud storage feel invisible. If apps and agents can treat cloud files like local files, the cloud becomes infrastructure rather than another tool to manage.

Yoeven's profile picture

Love the idea but how do you solve cost when scaling? typically these other cloud provider own their hardware and storage margins are typically thin. I agree the UX of other cloud provider suck balls but their pricing hits the spot in many ways

Jason Zhao's profile picture
Jason Zhao1 month ago

slick engineering keeps object storage costs down rn + data center play eventually. def need to own the whole stack at scale but ofc, do things that dont scale to start.

is the premise that I can create as many virtual drives as possible vs dropbox which is folder level access and also maybe you're better at drive read/write latency

Jason Zhao's profile picture
Jason Zhao1 month ago

yes and dropbox requires you to completely download a file to your computer before you can edit it

We all have digital lives scattered across random folders, external drives, cloud accounts, and endless years of photos and videos. ♥️ Download for Free: (Sign up before Sep 30 to receive 1,000 bonus MUZIM Credits.) The real issue isn’t storage anymore. It’s understanding what you already have—and actually putting it to use. That’s the entire idea behind MUZIM by OpenSoul. MUZIM operates as a local-first AI file agent and personal digital museum. It comprehends your local files natively on-device, and any connected AI workflows operate strictly within the context and scope you authorize. Vibe Search allows you to hunt down files simply by how you remember them—and crucially, this core search works completely offline. Collections bundle related files together naturally, while Smart Stacking automatically groups burst-shots, duplicates, and similar photos for quick review. Once your library is dialed in, it unlocks more capabilities: pull selected files from supported cloud services, convert specific memories into shareable vlog stories, and route authorized context outward using MCP. You can also plug in your own Claude/GPT API key via optional BYOK 🔑 to run advanced workflows while keeping your raw files strictly local. These specific workflows require internet; AI/Agent tasks might consume Credits. Note that cloud import isn’t a live sync or backup tool. And then there’s the hardware piece: the MUZIM L1 Data Hub—packed with Wi-Fi access, up to 24TB of SSD storage, and a massive 10Gb/s high-speed dock. A literal, physical home for your personal digital museum. ⚡ Your original local files stay where they are. You decide how they’re used. It takes you from scattered chaos to a library you can practically search, organize, and create with. Your files. Your rules. Your personal digital museum.
