So here’s the deal, THE TREASURY DEPARTMENT DATA IS COMPROMISED. Actors without security clearance have been given access to scrape your data. Elon Musk now controls your data and it represents the same level of control exerted by the Chinese government’s social credit system. Musk is now able to profile every name on the treasury data systems. There is no way to sugar coat the fact that your data is no longer secure. It can now be used to target you and not for your benefit, be sure of that. Democrats and advocacy groups can take all the legal action they like, THE DATA IS COMPROMISED and you can’t put the genie back in the bottle. This data can now be used to literally social engineer services to target any perceived enemy of ‘the state’. Call me a conspiracy theorist if you like, but then sit back have a think if any of what I am suggesting is not possible. I analyse big data for a living and I have no solution to this problem and neither does any Democrat telling you it can be fixed.

I got a smart meter recently and saw you can download a HDF file with the data so I had the idea of writing a script that could parse that and show the data in a useful manner. However I discovered that someone has already done this and done a really good job on it. The video explains how it works. In simple terms it uses the ESB smart meter data and shows a breakdown of how much data you are using and when and also recommends plans and estimates what each one would cost based on the data. The tool is available at easier to read on Laptop or Tablet or then your phone to Landscape.

$BTC Statistical Study using Claude - A Beginner's Workflow Here's an example of a z-score study on $BTC - still tinkering so don't take this as overtly useful information but the creation of a dashboard for the visualization of statistical data is phenomenal. my current workflow: > import $BTC time data - .csv file (can get this information from multiple venues - Binance is where I got mine) > creating bins - if you have a larger data set - you can use recent data to prevent overt bias in the long direction or filter consolidation and trending regime data into separate bins for statistical analysis - however, you will have to define thresholds and determine what that entails. > defining metrics in Claude that you want to use for statistical analysis e.g. for z-score what is it based on and what type of calculation? make sure you understand the calculations being performed for any metrics that you are doing a study for and modify them accordingly. > prompting Claude to do a statistical analysis with specific instructions and then tell it to create visualization for this. I've been messing around with this and I'm seriously impressed by the output.

Today, we’re pushing a major update to Edison Analysis, our data analysis agent, which is tuned for scientific research and SOTA across data analysis benchmarks. In contrast to Kosmos, which runs for 6-12 hours and produces tens of thousands of lines of code, Edison Analysis runs for seconds to minutes and is best for specific, well-defined computational tasks. It is available both on our platform under the Analysis tab, and via API, and costs only one credit per run, so it is available to users on both free and paid tiers. Edison Analysis is a modified version of the data analysis agent Kosmos uses in its trajectories. Try it out! One of the most important improvements over our previous data analysis agents has been the addition of a specialized data retrieval tool. Edison Analysis can either use this tool to access data, or can pull data down directly via API. To evaluate this tool, we ranked the most commonly used public data repositories across recent papers from BioRxiv, and created a new benchmark that measures the ability of a language agent system to retrieve raw data from those sources. Edison Analysis gets 71% on this benchmark, and we’ll be working to increase this over time. You can read more about our benchmarks in the our blog post, link below. Some features worth highlighting: 1. Edison Analysis produces a report on the analysis it runs, along with a Jupyter notebook that you can download to reproduce the analysis yourself. Every figure it produces is linked back to the specific lines of code used to produce the figure, to make it easy to reproduce. 2. It works well with both Python and R. 3. One of the best uses for Edison Analysis is to use it to retrieve datasets that you can then analyze with Kosmos. We have a bunch of major improvements to Edison Analysis coming in the next few months that we’re excited to share. MCP is mind-blowing. Here is a genius setup that will earn you a promotion with your manager. I have multiple data sources: data in S3, MySQL, and local files. Using Spice (an open-source project), I can co-locate all of that data behind a single SQL endpoint and augment it using MCP. Before, accessing data was slow, and I had to make multiple requests to get anything. After using Spice, I can query the data much faster (since it's mirrored locally), and I don't have to worry about where the data is coming from. Spice acts as an MCP server, so I can connect to it from my IDE or the Claude Desktop app and have access to all the data. But even more cool than that: Spice also acts as an MCP client, so it can connect to other MCP servers. This is where things get really interesting! Watch the video. I'm querying multiple data sources from my IDE and using the Google Maps MCP server for driving directions.

I like to call this "web-scrapping on demand", and I'm pretty sure it's going to unlock unlimited power for AI applications. I recorded a quick video to show you how you can do this using Apify. I've talked about them before, and they are collaborating with me on this post. They have one of the best open-source web scraping and browser automation libraries out there: But it gets much better than this! More progress! I now have two Dockerized Gradio | Rerun apps. The first one takes as input a "raw" rrd file that consists of the synchronized egocentric and exocentric MP4 files. This runs the pipeline and produces an "annotated" rrd file. This has the camera parameters, 3D joints, and projected 2D joints (with 6DOF mano soon). The second app takes this "annotated" rrd file and allows for manual labeling. This is a crucial step in addressing any major failures in the pipeline. Right now, it is only the ego view that can be modified. But I'll eventually extend to all. This results in a final "gt" rrd file. From here, the plan is to improve quality and start building a data loop. Excited to start really scaling this. I'm basically going all in on keeping my data stored as Rerun rrd files. As always, I want to emphasize how crucial it is to LOOK AT YOUR data! The rrd format makes it incredibly easy to do so. Getting the data out to use is a bit of a hassle right now, but for me, it's well worth the tradeoff.

Everyone is building RAG applications, but nobody is talking about the data these systems use. You are delusional if you think clients will have their data sitting in a folder waiting for you to process it. Data is everywhere: in Google Drive, Dropbox, S3, Gmail, Slack, you name it. And, of course, no sane developer wants to build connections to every one of these systems. This would be suicide. I'm working with Ragie, and they released Ragie Connect to solve this problem. First, their RAG system is top-notch (they have published how they do on several RAG benchmarks), and with Connect, they made it very simple to integrate client data without having to write any code. (Well, in reality, you still have to write a few lines, but it's minimal.) Instead of developing one-off integrations for Drive, Dropbox, etc, you can use Connect to integrate with all of them and let Ragie handle authentication, authorization, and automatic data synchronization. This is a huge time saver!

I wrote some new code to drive X-Plane directly rather than using the internal FDR playback, this lets me add in the Helicopter. Given the lack of precise data on the helicopter's route I made a rough estimate on speed and altitude. And you can see it's hidden against city lights for a long time. Be aware that the cockpit model is likely to be different and there's no data being sent to the gauges.

This is Anagha Rajesh. And she is crazy. She wants to store data in bacterial DNA. Her startup is called BioCompute. And last year, they actually did it. They stored data in DNA and retrieved it in their tiny lab in Bengaluru. This is a huge moment. But why is she even doing it? Because DNA is the ultimate storage tool available to us. Just 1 gm of DNA can store about 215 petabytes of data - that's like storing over 2 million movies in 4K. On top of that - this data can last for literally 1000s of years. Right now, they still need to figure out a way to make the reading and writing process faster and cheaper. But if BioCompute solves this problem - we could theoretically store all the data created in the world every year in the palm of our hands. And that would be insane. P.S.
