You should consider using in Tauri instead of Electron. 150MB for an launcher app, it is suposed to be kb or max 5MB. How come Claude didn't suggest you to use Tauri? Why @claudeai is so in indulgent about it 😄

@claudeai There's a reason why Claude desktop and Codex are built in Electron 😄 you should look that up :)

And then later whe Claude code will realize that it is slow, then they will switch to Rust, and then at that moment , would you blindly follow them instead of DYOR? 💁‍♂️ I'm saying this not to attack you, but to understand your reason, not the reason of Claude or Codex. And a lot of people are complaining about the codex being slow.

@claudeai Yep i understand, I had considered Tauri as an option. Tauri just can't compete with the Electrons ecosystem, Electron is more stable. You'd face more issues with Tauri if you were to make an app with so many moving pieces. The trade off for using electron is huge.

When windows version?

If i had a dollar for the times i have promised windows version...

I assume this is mac native and not electron based.

Electron with swift binaries so you don't compromise on performance.

Intrigued by this as a longtime Launcher->Alfred->Raycast guy. Love the Excalidraw integration. Curious what the product and company roadmap is.

Thanks Jonathan! It's just me right now, building what users ask for and experimenting here and there. The plan is to build the best of Alfred and Raycast, plus something I feel is missing in our daily workflow that will make our lives better. If you have any ideas, feel free to open a GitHub issue and I'll take a look. Right now I'm focused on existing issues, so it might take some time.

Does it has AI chat ? support MCP and skills？

It has a quick chat from the launcher, i am working on "open it in the chat window" for end to end experience. I had experimented with the agent loop, it was working well. we have voice dictation, tts and LLM, there's alot to experiment with but i am just trying to get the basic pieces right first.

You also have Parakeet v3, Qwen3 or you can put elevenlabs or OpenAI key to use their models. If you are using local models, you can enable smooth output to remove the filler words, make the sentence clean / fix grammar before it outputs the sentence. Will add the liquid glass option as well, was already experimenting with it.
