That's the only reason to switch to this project... if it's not open source, I don't see the point in switching from Raycast to SuperCmd...

v1 will stay open-source. I might open-source this one too. i am still figuring out ways to sustain the project.

If you open-source v2, I’ll gladly pay for it. The main thing keeping me on Raycast is not wanting proprietary software managing my clipboard history.

I might open-source it later. I am still figuring out how to sustain the project. Version 1 had a few donations, but all of them combined couldn't cover the monthly maintenance cost, so I had to figure out a different route this time. If you are working at any organization, I am providing repository access with unlimited licenses at one flat fee.

That's cute. SuperCmd rolled out dictation, read-aloud, local providers, global AI prompts, browser search with profiles, canvas, memory, Alt+Tab window switching, AI agents, and terminal commands first. The rest of the features come from Raycast. shoutout to Raycast here. I will give widgets to Supermac, that's it. Going by your logic, Supermac has more in common with SuperCmd v1, but I don't want to call it a copy. The world is too small.

Rewriting an Electron launcher in Swift is the unglamorous choice and the right one. A launcher is the one app that has to be instant every single time, and 50mb resident is what makes it feel native instead of merely fast. The detail I would put higher in the list is directory aware agents. A launcher already knows where you are, which is context most agent tools have to be told, so that is a real structural advantage rather than a feature bullet. Nice work shipping v2.

On Agents AI, I had to add instructions: You have detailed skills in /Users/Sierra/Library/Application Support/SuperCmd/Skills/ and custom scripts in /Users/Sierra/SuperCmd/Scripts/ to make it work.

Hi Chahat, you can choose from Whisper, Parakeet, Mistral (BYOK), and ElevenLabs (BYOK). Or, if you have Apple Intelligence enabled, you can use on-device voice dictation (works on Tahoe).

@Chahatusharma Yes, you can use the Apple speech analyzer that comes with the Apple intelligence. it will be greyed out if apple intelligence is not enabled. This is actually fastest and most accurate dictation model i have used locally.

this is a great app. I downloaded it and tested it and bought it in 10 mins. one of the best mac app. Highly recommended.
