A fun experiment for academics: Paste your favorite paper into Gemini 2.5 (assuming open rights) and ask it to turn it into a working game with "Canvas" turned on. This was in one go, I just trimmed out the waiting times from the video. I love the references to specific tables.

I'm oddly proud and stoked about this one - live video preview w/ audio of the Robotron AI training on the web. You can watch it live here: I started simple yesterday, a canvas I updated with a snapshot of the game that I pumped over a socket from an emulator session. That evolved into a video tag with a properly encoded video stream, and today I spent a full damned day almost adding audio and keeping it in sync with the game (which runs at an uncorked and unpredictable framerate). Assuming my machine can handle the load, it's available for viewing pleasure now at the link above :-) You have to click on the preview to enable the audio, and you can turn it off/on at the bottom of the page. Thanks to dsobeski for beta-testing it!

Our toolkit for building creative micro apps is going to be a banger. So many little details that just make life easier: - double click on a slider to reset the value to the default state - draggable panels + snap to the edges - layered components with a nested or flat look - canvas zoom/pan/recenter that just works super smoothly - image drag and drop and export. Everything comes with a template, a UI component library, and AGENT.md. Then it just magically works, and you can almost one-shot beautiful, creative micro-apps, whether you're building new animation for your client, a branding assets generator, or anything else.

Russia has the ability to strike with a nuclear weapon at any given place, at any distance, at any given moment. Its nuclear capabilities allow it to accomplish such a task. But the question of doing that is a matter of a political decision. Had there been any preparations I would be aware of them.
