We’re also releasing Spectrum 2, our new design system, which is built on top of React Aria Components! It includes a brand new styling library, more components, and a fresh new look.

Though this release is mostly about docs, it also adds built-in support for animated transitions between tabs, improves overlay positioning, and fixes some bugs. Full release notes:

congrats, awesome job Some of my favorite things: - command center/menu modal is so well done and a major UX improvement - interactive examples that live update code snippets - also in the code snippets, the line level bg highlighting is so polished

Congrats on the launch 🙌🏻 The new sites (and branding) look fantastic! Great to see Tailwind, and other CSS styling solutions. @shadcn should definitely look to get this as an option in the new create feature alongside Base UI and Radix imho 😉

I love the search experience. Are there keyboard shortcuts for switching tabs?

No but that's a good idea!

What would you expect the shortcuts to be? At first I thought Cmd+1/2/3/etc. but browsers already use that to switch tabs.

I like using the Tab key for that. See That’s how the emoji picker in macOS and Windows switches between categories. Alternatively, I’m exploring symbol prefixes like / > # @, similar to the VS Code command menu.

Looks beautiful! I love the tasteful skeuomorphic theme in examples, feels nicer than flat, rounded rectangles. I see tons of improvements from the feedback thread applied everywhere, thanks for the great work!

Congrats! Search has some kind of issue compared to before. Can search for "rout" but not "route", doesn't match "starter" like before.

Thanks! We'll continue improving it. Now it's mostly searching page titles and some keywords. Looks like we have "routing" but not "route" for example.

@frankborden_ Section titles within articles could also be indexed. "SelectionIndicator" currently gives no results.

@frankborden_ Yeah I think we planned on adding that and ran out of time before release.
