from my experience testing, it is pretty solid! lots of place to hill climb quality of course but feels like a nice step change in usefulness!

Great stuff! Impressive work by the team. A lot of these features seem to be for creating. Could we also have more editing features? Similar to Cursor, where you can highlight text and link it in the chat for edits. It helps with iterating if the initial generation is lacking.

Another product to half work 20% of the time. This is getting disrespectful with users tbh, it seems that the Google team refuse to address main user concerns to keep spamming products that no one can use because the core barely works.

sweet, does it work?

The grounding sources feature is the one that actually matters for enterprise adoption. Every time I've seen AI writing tools fail at work it's because they hallucinate context. Tying it to actual Drive files changes the reliability calculation completely.

The best tools disappear into the workflow. That's exactly the standard we hold ourselves to at RivrDEX - DeFi so seamless you forget it's on-chain.

This feels like one of those things that potentially could be amazing, and I'm hoping it is, but will have to test it out to see how well it works

google just turned docs into another ai wrapper around your files and people call that progress if your entire “ai overview” only works inside drive, sheets, slides and their “grounding sources”, you didn’t build intelligence you built a walled garden with autocomplete the future isn’t ai assistants trapped inside corporate apps it’s trillions of agents operating across open infra, not begging permission from one company’s document stack

To update a single QBR slide I currently route it through Slides, Sheets, two enrichment APIs and an LLM trained on my board notes. The final edit is changing “Q2” to “Q3.” Totally worth the 19 seconds of compute.
